Hourglass

"How's Kai, you ready?" my question is, get ready to turn the hourglass.

"Tu. wait a minute, Dream. What if we make a mistake?" kai asked, "I mean you've heard, right, that even the perfect plan would fall apart?" said again.

"I know." I answered, and put the hourglass back on.

"If we turn back time, where will we go?" asked Kai, still hesitating.

"When we're all about to go back in time to our year, and just before we're apart" I replied.

"Ba...okay...but if we make a mistake?" ask again.

"Can't be wrong! Or we will be locked up in that time forever." I replied firmly.

Kai swallowed his saliva, and tried to calm himself down, "Alright, I'm ready" he said.

I nodded, "Well, I'll turn it now.."

"Tu.wait first. We'll count them together." he asked.

I nodded, "Are you ready?" I asked Kai.

Kai nodded, "Come, Dream. We're doing this madness" he said.

I turned the hourglass around, though,

One round, one,

Me and Kai took another breath, and exhaled a long one

Twice a turn

We now looked at each other, and again exhaled our breaths in length. Me and Kai nodded...

Three rounds, three,

The whole house seemed to be sucked in, and people were passing by quickly, we seemed to see pieces of film being sped up so many times.

Then we stopped a few meters in front of the time gate, and saw the two of us checking the time gate.

"That's us, Dream!" hatch Kai.

I'm nodding.

"And where are V and Bry?" ask Kai.

"There's in the house we once occupied. They are waiting for news from us." I replied, "and this is the time when we will pass through time, Kai." I said again.

"So, are we gonna wait here?" ask Kai.

I nodded, "We'll wait here for about twenty minutes, then we'll meet V and Bry" I replied.

Twenty thrilling minutes, we had to wait here, hoping to improve our time.

After twenty minutes, I took Kai with V and Bry "Let's go to V and Bry and turn the hourglass before we get back." I said.

Kai and I ran to the house, and found V and Bry talking.

Bry and V looked at us in surprise, "Did you guys just run?" ask V.

Kai hugged Bry tightly, "You okay, Bry? And what about our son?" ask Kai.

Bry laughed, "What's wrong with you? You feel like you haven't seen me in a long time? Twenty minutes you've been gone." said Bry.

Kai didn't mind Bry's words, I refrained from directly hugging V. How grateful I was to see him, and we were able to regroup.

"Look, we can't cross time. For a while we lived here first." I said.

"What's the Dream?" ask V.

Kai and I shrugged, "It looks like there's been a time upheaval, and it's made the time gate close. Suppose we keep going through time, I'm afraid we'll be scattered." said Kai who had not released his hand to Bry.

"Time fluctuation?" ask Bry.

Kai nodded, "Yes. To be safe, we're only here for a while." replied Kai.

I invited them out, and planned to turn the hourglass there.

"I'm hungry, let's eat at the cafe." I asked V.

"Alright miss padlub. Come on." said V.

Kai and Bry agreed. We walked to the cafe, because it was quite close to where we lived.

Arriving, there I was watching my watch, because I had to adjust the time to the return of Kai and I in the past.

Kai understood why I always glanced at my watch, and he was also glancing out the window, though invisible, but Kai continued to do just that.

For about fifteen minutes, I was allowed to go out just to see Kai and me in the past, and I saw them walking back to our house.

I rushed to run, and asked Kai to turn the clock, "Kai, now." I said.

One round, one,

Twice a round,

Back the buildings, the people, all the vehicles, all sucked in, and we were like watching a speeding piece of film again.

As soon as the film's cut stops, we're back in the present, just different places, and different years of time.

Me and Kai walked towards the cafe, our hearts pounding, did we make a mistake or did we do as we planned?

We peeked inside the cafe, "Are they not Kai?" I asked Kai.

Kai did not answer, and still continued to look. For a second, "Some, Dream! We succeeded!! We succeeded!!" saith.

I cheered in excitement, and hugged Kai, "Is that true, Kai??!! Oh my God, finally!! We are finally together again!!" my word.

Kai and I walked into the cafe, and sure enough, Bry and V were waiting for us there.

I ran to hug V, and so did Kai. V returned my embrace in surprise, "Hey, what's wrong with you? Or rather, what's wrong with you guys?" ask V.

Kai and I looked at each other, "There's nothing, we're just happy to see you both." I replied, and alternately hugged Bry.

"You know, Dream. My content is only a matter of days, we've been here a week, and the time seems very fast. I was pounding impatiently waiting for our son." said Bry.

Kai stroked Bry's belly, "You'll be this week or tomorrow, I'll be here, I'll be with you Bry." said Kai.

I breathed a sigh of relief, and took out the hourglass necklace I had just worn. And thank him.

**EPILOGUE

Kai*POV****

"Bry, hangin!!" sahutku.

Bry starts contracting from last night, and she refuses to be taken to the hospital, "Wait until her contract is frequent, Kai. Be patient." he said last night.

And it turns out, Bry can't sleep until morning, and his contract is getting more frequent. I helped him calculate his contract for twenty minutes.

So, this morning the three of us drove Bry to the hospital.

"Bry, do you know how to get your baby out?" ask Dream.

Bry shook his head while groaning in pain, "I don't know Dream. I don't even dare to imagine how this kid will come out...Eeerrghhh!" saith.

I looked at Dream, and Dream looked at V. Voltaire usually understands women's problems the most, "Why me??!!" tanyanya panicked.

"Faster, V!!" I shouted to V.

"But we're going to be breaking traffic." he said.

"We're desperate!! Increase speed!!" my door.

"Ba..alright." answered V.

I continued to hold onto Bry's hand, which squeezed my hand tightly, and even clawed it occasionally, or clutched my arm, leaving a reddish tint there.

Arriving at the hospital, Bry was immediately taken to the maternity room, we accompanied him there.

"Mom, this is already opening 8, the mother exhales three times, like blowing out a candle, then push that bu..this will not be long" said the nurse in the delivery room.

Not long after, a doctor arrived, ready to help Bry deliver.

I kept holding my wife's hand, and strengthened her, finally, the thing I was waiting for came true, my dream to accompany her during childbirth came true.

My tears trickled because of that, as well as seeing Bry struggle to get our son out.

"Last ma'am, push the strong well.one..two...three..push bu!!" the nurse encouraged Bry.

A tiny head puffed out and before long the sound of crying baby broke the tension in the maternity room.

"The baby's beautiful mom, weighs 2.8kg, and is 49cm long, well mom, sir" the nurse said, and put the tiny baby on Bry's body.

I stroked the tiny creature that kept crying.

"Who's the name of the grandpa ma'am?" ask the nurse.

"Ambers.... Amber Eilia Johnson." Bry replied. The nurse wrote it down on a bracelet, and put it on Amber's little arm.

"Beautiful name." I said, and kissed Bry on the forehead.

"Thank you for the Dream. He chose it." Bry replied.

V and Dream were staring at us, and I approached Dream, hugging her tightly.

"Thank you Dream.Thank you for everything." I whispered into his ear.
