don't Cry
As usual, early in the morning Rain was well-groomed. Today he made chicken porridge, this is for the first time. Rain had prepared the three bowls of porridge on the dining table before taking a bath.
The pace of Ega's steps down the stairs made his heart beat faster. Ega arrived at the dining room still wearing house clothes, apparently not having a bath.
"Mas, you haven't had a bath?" Tanya Rain looked at Ega's appearance from top to bottom. Ega just shook his head with a smile and sat down. Rain sat down, followed by Aunt who had just come to sit down.
"Mas, koq is slovenly anyway. Not having a shower to eat?" Rain whined, forgetting that Ega was still vengeful.
"It's so bad, Mother Teacher". Said Ega feed his porridge and immediately glared
"It's the usual porridge, isn't it?"
"No, why?" Asked Rain who was following along to feed the porridge into the mouth.
"Tomorrow buy again this one, this afternoon also deh". replied Ega again to feed the porridge.
"No, could. Change the menu tomorrow". Said Rain adding sweet soy sauce to his porridge.
"It's so good Rain, know me as the seller. Later I love him a gift" cried Ega continues to devour the porridge. Rain simply shook his head not answering.
After finishing the porridge together, Rain stood up and extended his hand before Ega. The one who saw him was confused.
"Why Rain?"
"Say you want to know a porridge maker? Let's get acquainted now. This porridge maker is busy!" Exclaimed Rain while moving her hands.
Ega stood up and brought her body closer to Rain. Then he shook Rain's hand and gently pulled Rain's body into his embrace and whispered
"Thank you, yeah. This is the best porridge I've eaten". Ega unraveled her hug and quickly kissed Rain's cheek briefly and ran up the stairs.
"Maass, you haven't had a bath yet!" rain shouted to make Ega stop and turned to look at Rain from the stairs
"Wait a minute, I'll drive you to school" cried Ega, winked and walked with big steps to her room.
Rain sat down again holding her cheek and said
"Bi, this isn't a dream, is it?"
"No, Neng. It's the tea answer of every do'a godly wife" replied Aunty with teary eyes. For a while Rain was glued while rubbing his cheeks that Ega kissed.
That morning for the first time Ega drove Rain to the school where he worked. Ega's car entered the school yard and Ega parked it neatly in a place that has been provided.
"What time are you home?" Ega asked as Rain removed her seatbelt.
"It's usually one o'clock in the afternoon". Answer Rain corrects the location of the hijab that is neat.
"I'd like to see you teach, I'll wait till you get home?" Ega asked looking inwards at Rain. Rain squinted his forehead
"Wait until one o'clock long you know it's only seven o'clock, is Mas not in college?"
"I have a second-hour class" replied Ega while tidying up her hair.
"Well, how am I going down?" Rain got ready to go down but Ega pulled his hand.
"Rain, it's only seven o'clock. Here we were talking"
Rain returned to the starting position. His hand was still held by Ega. His heart suddenly beat faster, but it was normal. Her cheeks were hot but her palms were suddenly cold.
"You koq nervous, Rain?" Ega asked, looking at Rain's face.
"I just want our old days Mas. We are often rich in gini in the car floor" Rain chuckled at the events while they were still wearing white ash uniforms.
"Don't you forget all that?" Ega asked who was still holding Rain's hand.
"Where there I forgot, Mas. Even I've always remembered every incident we've been through"
"Remember all right, Rain". Said Ega without taking her eyes off Rain.
"You're the best boyfriend ever, Mas" replied Rain staring back at Ega with tears already welled up.
Ega immediately took a tissue and rubbed Rain's eyes before the tears spilled.
"Don't cry, Teacher is beautiful. I promise, I'll get the answer soon"
Rain smiled as he nodded, just as Ega was about to grab the tiny body into the hug the entrance sign bell rang to ruin their moment. Rain and Ega laughed together. They got out of the car without talking to each other.
