Auntie laughed out loud, making Ega and Rain throw eyes at each other.
"Bibiiiii" the two shouted, realizing that Bibi was judging them.
"Atuhda, husband and wife but like someone who just knew. Diem-dieman, face-to-face. It must be tea in the heart talking to each other" said Bibi stopped her laughter and sat down facing the dining table.
Ega and Rain also sat down. At first Rain wanted to think Wga wasn't out of the room this early. Rain did not want to make Ega hate him more so Rain tried to avoid. The other day I said I didn't want to see Rain, right?
"Come on breakfast, so on diem" Aunt breaks Rain and Ega's daydream.
"Bi, inget. Don't grumpy. Inget tension Bi" said Rain teasing Aunt by poking her chin.
"Yes, Bi. Auntie eating must also be taken care of. I made Auntie a special breakfast". Rain pointed at the broccoli stir fry and the grilled tuna he put on one plate.
Aunty stared at Rain, Ega too. Rain's sincerity emanated from her ever-beautiful face. Rain is gentle and soothing when viewed. Ega's heart suddenly ached considering the last two months of treating Rain harshly.
"Thank you, Neng. Auntie is very fond of Neng Rain". Said Bibi while wiping her tears that began to fall. Rain nodded meaningfully and laughed a little.
"I'm leaving, yeah. I had breakfast". Rain immediately stood up and greeted Auntie.
"Mas, yes first. Eat a lot. Be careful on the road. Spirit yes, Mas" Rain smiled, without getting an answer from Ega Rain left after saying a greeting while running small. Hiding her crazy feelings. Rain kissed her husband's hand. It feels like leaving together. I really want to get a warm kiss. Rain walked carrying all his desires while occasionally wiping away the tears that kept falling.
Ega sighed after Rain's departure. Her chest feels tight. Ega closed his eyes, remembering the courtship times first. Where is his deep love for Rain. Where is his wish that he always wanted to be with Rain. The anger and resentment within him kept on revolting. It is like having two opposing hearts. One, deep love. And the other, deep-rooted hate and vengeance.
Ega finally ate his breakfast with difficulty swallowing it, his chest still tight. Aunty did not speak anymore because she saw Ega's cold face and blank, but sharp look.
*********
The evening finished eating Auntie and Ega sat together in the tv room while Rain was ironing clothes in the back room.
Ega continued to look at Rain's tightly shut bedroom door.
"Who is also looking for Rain" replied Ega while increasing the volume of AC in the room because from noon the weather was hot.
"Aren't you going to see Rain wear a tangle and doang shorts?" Aunt teased again. The words of Bibi actually reminded Ega at the first visit to Rain's house. Ega smiled little.
"Have I gone to the room, Auntie Ngaco".
I get out of that room. But when he was about to climb the stairs, somehow his legs even want to step into the back room. Ega glanced briefly at the tv room. Aunt is still watching. Ega sneaks off to the back room. From behind the door Ega saw Rain who was ironing while humming.
Deg.
Ega's heart was jumping. True said Aunt Rain opened the hijab and even tied her hair high. Rain only uses a tanktop and shorts. I feel like I'm experiencing de javu.
"Beautiful" murmured Ega involuntarily with his words. Not sure what made Ega want to move, his hand had already opened the door and walked towards Rain. Rain who felt seeing the shadow of someone immediately turned off his iron and turned his body around.
"Mas, what's the matter here?" Tanya Rain frowned.
"That's it, I'm looking for socks for work tomorrow" Ega replied curiously at the sight of some socks neatly folded in the basket.
"Ooh, yes, this exists. I just finished the ironing. I'll take her to Mas's room". Rain smiled and lifted the basket.
"May I go to the room to tidy up Mas's clothes?" Rain asked while showing her the basket of clothes she was carrying.
"May, let me bring the basket". Ega took the basket out of Rain's hand.
"Come, you go first. Open the door to his room".
Rain nodded then walked unconsciously dressed as what.
