6. I'm Not Ugly

In the car, Rania shyly steals a look at the driver who is none other than Aiden. A sweet smile could not hide from her face.

Aiden drives the car at a speed above normal. He has been focusing on looking straight at the streets.

However, the tail of Aiden's eyes caught Rania who continued to look at him full of admiration.

"Don't look at me like that!" aiden said without looking at Rania.

Soon Rania threw a glance out the window. His heart is pounding. The car Aiden was driving.

"Front turn left, boss," said Rania directing Aiden towards her home.

Aiden snorted in annoyance because only this time he was ruled by a geeky girl. Aiden's hand clutched firmly on the steering wheel held back the anger that was ready to explode.

Inevitably, Aiden who usually gives orders to others. He now feels like a private driver.

Unlike Aiden, Rania looks relaxed and innocent looking at the city streets through the car window.

"Boss, can we just stop for a second at the bookstore up ahead."

Rania pointed to the bookstore that was on the right side of the street. But Aiden continued to drive the car without commenting on Rania.

Even Aiden deliberately increased the speed until the car passed the bookstore that was appointed by Rania who can now only sigh resignedly.

"Eh, uh, boss, wait! Boss is wrong way. We should've turned right," great-grandson Rania.

Instantly Aiden stepped on the brakes of the car suddenly which made Rania topple forward to kiss the dashboard. 

Rania straightened her back while fixing the glasses that were about to fall off. He threw an annoyed look at Aiden who stopped suddenly.

"Boss, don't brake suddenly! If behind us there are riders who do not have time to brake, it can be dangerous."

Aiden turned his head with eyes that were emitting anger. The gaze was so sharp and cold, making Rania's bristles bristle instantly.

Aiden's patience is over. He feels treated like a private driver and plus a geeky woman who rides in his car advises Aiden in a pretentious style.

"Get out!" tell Aiden with a raucous voice full of emotion.

"But, Boss, my home is still far away," Rania ventured to say.

If Aiden's car had stopped not far from home, Rania would have been out without waiting to be ordered.

"out! You can take public transport."

Rania swallowed the saliva with a trembling body seeing Aiden angry. 

"Wait for what else? Get out of my car!" Aiden snapped as he saw the silent Rania unmoved.

Not only snapping, but Aiden's hand also moved to pinch Rania's waist who was suddenly complaining of pain.

"Aw sick, Boss. Forgiver. Yes, I'm going out" said Rania grimacing as Aiden took off his pinch.

Rania's waist feels sore, it is certain that the former pinch has left a red mark.

Soon Rania removed her seatbelt and got out of the car. However, when closing the door, Rania did not realize that the tip of her skirt was stuck.

Rania heard the sound of fabric being torn off along with her interested lower body. Rania quickly lowered her head and how surprised Rania was when she saw the skirt she was wearing torn.

While running, Rania tried to knock on Aiden's car window while one hand held the skirt.

"Boss, wait! My skirt's stuck, boss."

Feeling the windshield knocked, Aiden stopped the four-wheeled vehicle again, then lowered the window to reveal Rania's embarrassed face.

"What?" ask Aiden fiercely.

"My skirt got snagged and torn, boss. Can I ride home? It's impossible if I take public transport in a torn skirt like this."

Rania shows a skirt torn up to the top.

Aiden clucked irritably while turning the lazy eyeball. Forced to wave her hand giving a signal if Rania is allowed to climb back into her car.

Soon Rania enters with a cheerful cheer and does not forget to thank Aiden.

Hearing that, Aiden snorted displaying a scornful face. Aiden's lips carved out a grin grin.

"What did you say? Abuse victim? Where there are people who have a taste for harassing a geeky and ugly woman like you."

Rania tightens her jaw if she is said to be geeky and ugly. It felt like someone was squeezing his heart strongly when the one who said geeky and ugly was the person Rania admired.

"I'm not ugly, Boss," said Rania firmly.

"Is there no mirror in your house, huh? Take a look at this!"

Aiden rolled up Rania's cheeks using one hand and pointed the girl's face to look at the shadow in the rear-view mirror.

"You see how ugly you are," scorned Aiden who then removed the clutches of her hands from Rania's cheeks.

Aiden plugged the gas that made his car go back to speed breaking the road. Rania could only be silent.

For some reason, Rania's heart ached when Aiden called her a geeky and ugly girl.

Rania walks with shaky steps across the living room until she doesn't realize Ajeng is watching her from the kitchen.

Seeing Rania come home with a sullen face, Ajeng approached his eldest daughter.

"Rania, are you all right, son?"

Rania gasps to realize Ajeng is nearby. Then he nodded his head, not wanting to tell the turmoil that struck the heart.

"I'm okay, Mom. Just being exhausted" said Rania forced herself to smile.

"Oh, are you tired? I was going to ask for your help to deliver the crib rice to Ibu Lilis' house."

Rania glanced at the kitchen table where there were already ten boxes of rice wrapped in a large plastic bag.

Of course, to help her mother, Rania was always willing to support whatever it was.

"If you want to drive to Miss Lilis' house, Rania can do it, Mom."

"You sure? You said you were tired" Ajeng looked at Rania investigating the look on her daughter's face.

"It's okay, ma'am," Rania said.

Ajeng patted Rania on the shoulder and gave a smile. Proud of his eldest daughter was unable to hide.

"Yes there already. If Ms. Lilis just love the bonus money just use it for snacks," said Ajeng widened his smile to see Rania carrying a plastic bag.

It is true what Ajeng said. Ajeng loyal customer named Bu Lilis was giving bonus money to Rania because the order was delivered on time.

For a moment Rania thought about using the bonus money or just saved. Then Rania thought back to Aiden's words.

You see how ugly you are.

The words from Aiden's mouth continued to ring and disturbed Rania's mind. So this time Rania decided to use the bonus money given by Bu Lilis to buy makeup tools.

Arriving at the cosmetics store, Rania's forehead shriveled staring one by one makeup tools lined up in a glass display case.

Rania tapped her finger to the middle chin thinking about which one to buy. Given the money in his hands is also not much.

"Can I help you, Miss?" a female saleswoman asked Rania who had been looking confused since.

After chatting with the saleswoman, Rania finally decided to buy eyebrow pencil, blush and lipstick. He didn't buy powder because the powder he used to wear was still there.

Staring at her groceries, Rania muttered, "I'll prove that I'm not ugly."
