33. Cold War

Aiden joins Rania and Abe in the elevator. Instantly inside the iron box the atmosphere turned cold.

Of the three people no one dared to start a conversation. They were silent with different expressions.

Aiden glanced sharply at Rania through the tail of her eyes. Rania lowered her head not knowing she was being watched by Aiden.

Abe, who is standing between Aiden and Rania, can only look to the left once in a while. Then rub the crumbling nape.

It seems like the cold war is about to start.

"Is there an important meeting today?" ask Aiden suddenly.

"To my knowledge there was a meeting with Mr. Thomas, sir," Abe replied half in doubt.

"I'm not talking to you. I spoke to Rania."

Abe turned to Rania, who was still bowing his head.

"Rania, Boss Aiden said, is there an important meeting today?"

Rania looked up a little head to see Abe's face and not to look at Aiden.

"Tell the Boss that two o'clock in the afternoon there's a meeting with Mr. Thomas!" whisky Rania.

Abe turned to look at Aiden.

"Rania said there was a meeting with Mr. Thomas at two in the afternoon, boss."

"Tell Rania, I want the meeting to be held at one o'clock."

Damnit. Why did I become a postman? They are in the same room. Why should I send a message through me? Abe's mind while scratching his head in confusion.

Seeing Abe shut up, Aiden snapped. "Quick say!"

"Yes, Boss."

Abe turned his body to face Rania.

"Rania, did you hear that? Boss asks to be pushed to one o'clock."

Ting.

The elevator doors were finally revealed and Aiden became the first person to exit. Abe can finally breathe a sigh of relief because he is no longer a messenger bird for Aiden and Rania.

But apparently it didn't get there. Throughout the day, Aiden and Rania communicate through Abe.

Although the two people were in the same room and of course they heard each other's words but they were proud to speak directly.

What a strange couple. Bail Abe in my heart.

And Abe's work as a messenger between Aiden and Rania continued for four days. Makes Abe feel tired and can't stand it anymore.

Finally he decided on the sixth day to restore the relationship Aiden and Rania as usual.

Just when he was in the room with Aiden, Abe ventured to open his voice.

"Boss, is Boss not tired of waging a cold war with Rania? Isn't this too childish?"

Aiden looked up from the file he was reading to stare at Abe with a sharp look.

"You mean, I'm childish?"

"Not b-so, boss," Abe said stuttering. "Just the Boss doesn't want to make up with Rania, is that it?"

Aiden sighed as well as slammed the file onto the table. He turned his gaze to the glass window where a clear view of the tops of the skyscrapers.

What Abe said has a point. But Aiden doesn't know how to make his relationship and Rania what they used to be.

"What do you think is wrong with me, Abe? Why didn't Rania look at me with such awe-filled look like she used to?" aiden asked with a dreamy look but his hands clenched tightly.

Abe breathed a long breath. Before speaking he arranged the appropriate words to be able to speak to without offending his heartbroken boss.

"Look, Boss. From Rania's view, Boss Aiden loves Rania after Rania changes her appearance. So he assumes the boss doesn't..."

Abe stopped his words for a moment. He suddenly hesitated to continue. Afraid that the next word can make Aiden angry.

But Aiden glanced sharply at Abe with a probing look.

"Yeah, it's more or less like that."

Aiden let out a frustrated sigh while massaging the base of his nose.

"Then do I have to tell her to look geeky again?" Aiden muttered softly so that only he heard his words.

"And one more, boss. Rania also thinks that Boss is a rude man."

Aiden's forehead shriveled for a moment. "Rude how? When did I do rough on him?"

"Yes, for example, when Boss Aiden leads Rania."

"What happened when I led Rania?" Aiden asked with a face without sin.

"The boss is more impressed with dragging than guiding."

Aiden was upset. "That's because he walked like a conch."

"But Rania thinks that Boss Aiden is a rude and impatient man. That woman wants to be treated gently and romantically, Boss."

Aiden opened his eyes with an angry brow.

"You're patronizing me now, huh? You already have the experience of dating many women."

"It's not so, Boss. As an adventurer of love I just want to tell you."

At once Abe's heart skipped like it would be dislodged to see the look on Aiden's face that was very red held back anger.

He rubbed his nape and tried to smile, even though his body was being struck by nervousness.

With just a hand gesture, Aiden asked Abe to get out of his room.

After Abe left, Aiden sat dumbfounded at the thought of his treatment of Rania from the first day the woman worked.

In the same building but in a different room, Rania was sitting pensively with her chin up.

Aiden's proposal still bothered Rania's mind. Although he clearly rejected it.

Then the ringing of the cell phone on the table resuscitated Rania from the daydream. He sighed as he stared at the cell phone that kept on chanting incoming calls from Carlos.

Rania rejects the call, puts the phone on the table and refocuses herself on her work.

However, not long ago Rania's phone again dingering call from the same person.

Forced Rania to pick up the phone from Carlos by holding back her annoyance.

"Would you call me again?" ask Rania with ketus once the phone is connected.

"Rania, honey, I want us to reverse it. Please, Rania, I love you so much" Carlos said.

"But I don't love you, Carlos," said Rania firmly.

"Please, Rania, please accept me again. I've ended my relationship with Naomi so I can get back with you, honey."

"Carlos, stop. I was busy. Don't call me anymore!"

Tut's.

Rania turns off the phone without even hearing Carlos' bullshit. Then he turned his attention to the file he had to hand over to Aiden immediately.

But again Rania's phone rang. Making Rania growl annoyed even to the point of hitting the table.

He lifted the phone without seeing the name plastered on the phone screen. Because Rania believes that the caller is Carlos who keeps asking her to re-establish a relationship.

"Carlos, I told you I don't love you. I only love a man named Aiden Abhimanyu. I approached you just to make Aiden jealous. You got it, heh?"

"Rania, it's me" replied someone across the phone.

Making Rania round her eyes instantly when she realized the voice of the person who called her.

Then Rania glanced at the name listed on her current phone screen.

"Dam. Turns out I talked to Boss Aiden."
