11 Challenges

Aiden was silent for a moment. He admitted that he enjoyed the kiss so intoxicating, but he still refused if he fell in love with Rania.

"Yes, that's a man. A man can kiss a woman without love."

"That means the Boss is just playing me?" 

Rania's tears are getting worse. Disappointed at the attitude taken by Aiden. If from the beginning the man said firmly if he did not love her, Rania could accept.

However, what Aiden did was kiss her twice and then a few hours later said she did not love Rania. 

Isn't this an act of harassment? rania asked inwardly as she looked at Aiden's nanar.

"Yes, the kiss was just a joke" said Aiden firmly although his heart did not agree with the statement.

"You're bad, Boss."

Aiden is lazy. "Come on, Rania. It was just a kiss. What do you expect from me, huh? Be responsible? If I fuck you and you're pregnant, then I take responsibility."

Already unable to be held back, Rania finally slapped hard on Aiden's cheek which immediately widened his eyes.

Just then, Abe and Bella enter Aiden's room because of an important discussion with the CEO and they accidentally see Aiden and Rania quarrel.

Bella who immediately understood the situation was holding a happy smile.

Unlike the case with Abe who looked sad at Rania. Although he had cut ties with his girlfriend like Aiden did at this time, but somehow Abe felt sorry for the secretary.

Aiden touched the former slap, then turned his gaze towards Rania with angry eyes. 

"You were so slow to slap me, Rania. After the kindness I gave you," Aiden snapped.

Abe swung his legs to mediate between Rania's quarrel with Aiden. However, the master was gesturing with a hand gesture to remain silent.

"Killness? The kiss you call a kindness?" ask Rania who now dares to put on a ketus face.

"I did good by accepting you to work here. Although it was forced, because of Mommy's request. Not because you're competent as a secretary."

The next second, Rania was stunned. He was shocked to hear the hidden facts all along.

While Aiden pulled one end of his lips when he saw the change in Rania's expression.

"Is that true?" ask Rania.

"You think I'm kidding? Mommy and your mom were old friends. If it wasn't for Mommy, I wouldn't have a careless and geeky secretary like you."

Rania rubbed a trail of tears on her cheeks. All this time he thought if he was accepted to work at Irawan Group because he deserved a position as a secretary but it turned out to be wrong.

Rania's fist is getting stronger. But not because he endured the pain. 

The pain disappeared instantly. Replacing with a strong determination to show Aiden that he can be a reliable secretary.

"One month," said Rania steady.

Aiden frowned not understanding the meaning of the one month that Rania had said.

Aiden also grinned thinly. He is very challenged with Rania's offer and predicts if the girl will definitely fail.

"What would you do if one month couldn't be a secretary to my criteria?" Aiden folded his hands in front of his chest.

"I will resign from the Irawan Group" said Rania without the slightest doubt.

A grin grew on Aiden's lips. This was a golden opportunity for Aiden to avoid Rania.

Aiden also no longer need to argue with Kirana, because Rania herself will step down from the family company of the mother.

"agreed. One month starting from tomorrow, I will continue to monitor your performance while in the office," Aiden smiled meaningfully. Then look at Abe and Bella.

"The two of you bear witness to the challenge made by Rania herself."

Abe who hesitated, walked over to Rania. He whispered in front of the earlobe of the girl who looked at Aiden full of determination.

Abe is worried that if Rania fails the challenge at the risk of her not having the opportunity to work at the Irawan Group.

"Rania, think again!" whispered Abe.

"I've thought well, Abc," replied Rania.

"Then get out of my room and prepare yourself to welcome your failure," Aiden smiled meaningfully as he pointed his hand towards the exit.

Rania steps past Abe and Bella. Withholding tears that have pooled in the eyes.

Until he arrived in the toilet, Rania cried. He took off his glasses, bent down, and lit a water faucet to wash his lips.

Although Rania falls in love with Aiden, she also does not accept being treated like a toy. Her lips are not a place for the impingement of male lust.

After being satisfied with crying, Rania looked up at her face, looked at the mirror image, and then put on her glasses again.

"Come, Rania. You can definitely get through that challenge" Rania said to her reflection in the mirror.

In the study, Aiden sat down and tightened his jaw. Beside him stood Bella who as usual looked at Aiden full of longs.

Deep down inside Bella, she envies Rania for having a chance to get a kiss from Aiden.

Although it was not a kiss based on love, Bella still wished to get it too.

Just as Bella was deep in thought, Aiden was also pensive. Aiden did not understand what he was feeling right now.

Shouldn't I be glad he's disappointed in me. Which means he'll stop fighting for his silly love, but why? Why do I feel like the most jerk on earth?

Aiden clucked while massaging the base of the nose. Confused to feel a strange feeling lingering in his heart.
