Devan entered the room and took off his suit all day making his body stiff. His eyes looked at Lovi's back who was sitting staring at the window where the sun was beginning to return to its quarrel.
The woman was unaware of her husband's presence. Too busy putting words in his book. Now he is no longer allowed by Devan to take care of the park. That almost made him bored. There was nothing he could do but write.
"Make something for me,"
Lovi turned his head and found Devan preparing to take a bath. He breathed slowly. Then move on from his writing activities.
"I want warm ginger,"
Lovi thought the man was craving food. Thank goodness that was all he asked for. Because honestly at this time Lovi can not linger in the kitchen. The smell of the spices made him uncomfortable.
Lovi saw Vanilla and Rena who were eating a snack while chatting.
"I don't want to go to college, Ma,"
Rena clucked while rolling her eyeballs.
"What will your future look like, Vanilla?"
Vanilla could not use the opportunity that approached her. He has it all. Vanilla was only asked by her parents to continue her education to a higher level. All of his facilities have been met by Raihan but his attitude during the lecture shows that he refused the request. I don't know what that girl's future will be. There was no change shown by him when all his friends had finished their education and managed to make their parents proud.
"I have everything. So what is higher education for?"
Rena nodded in disagreement. Although their families have abundant wealth, but it will not be eternal. There will come a time when they are on the wheels of middle life or even below. Only science can be relied upon when it is faced with such conditions.
"It's not always like this,"
Vanilla laughed then devoured her favorite fries calmly.
"Papa won't let me fall poor,"
"Of course, but he can't fight God either, right? What if fate wants you to fall poor?"
Vanilla laughed loudly. She thought her mother's joke really comforted her.
"God is good to me, Ma,"
Now Rena is chuckling. He raised his eyebrows looking at the youngest daughter.
"You wish God was good to you? But you've never treated God's other creatures well, Vanilla,"
Vanilla stopped eating. He nodded not understanding.
"I mean Mama?"
"Lovi and the workers here. You always put them down,"
Vanilla understands now. In the end Rena will defend his sister's wife. The one that used to be so hated by him and Devan. But unfortunately, this time the man seemed to forget the past where they hated women who worked in brothels. Women they consider as the destroyer of happiness.
Lovi who had chosen to be quiet and listen to the conversation now appeared before two women who had a resemblance on his face.
Rena immediately decided the conversation was no longer staring at her daughter. He was surprised to see Lovi walking into the pantry.
"Mr wants warm Ginger, Madam,"
Rena nodded then allowed her daughter-in-law to make the warm Ginger. While Vanilla is indifferent and back preoccupied with snacks while struggling with his smartphone.
"How's Elea doing now?" Suddenly the beautiful girl said to her mother. Making Rena who was sipping warm tea speechless. He placed the cup quietly. Likewise, Lovi immediately stopped his activities pouring warm water into Devan's glass.
Rena with her flat face replied,
"The person who nearly harmed my granddaughter shouldn't you mention, Vanilla!"
Vanilla was surprised when her mother slightly raised her tone. The anger in the face was able to make Vanilla freeze. He spoke wrongly.
"Mama still hates him? Didn't he apologize?"
Rena is getting inflamed. Of course he still hates it. Even whenever the mistake will not be forgotten. Elea manages to make the meek Rena turn into someone capable of holding a grudge.
"You know what the answer is,"
"I'm also very sorry about that, Ma. But Elea can't be blamed entirely on that. He did it because he loved Devan too much and was afraid of losing him,"
Vanilla and Lovi are shocked when Rena hits the dining table. Not tight indeed but managed to make the heart of Vanilla as if out of place.
"A blank Omong what is Vanilla? All of this is not love. If he loves Devan, he should support whatever makes Devan happy,"
**************
"Fast long? I'm waiting for you,"
Lovi immediately put the teasing warm drink on her sleeping lamp table. Devan feels today's activities really make him tired and tired. He wanted something that would calm his body and mind.
"Why is your face so stiff?"
Lovi immediately looked at Devan and as the Man nagged, Lovi quickly removed his surprised expression that had not disappeared.
"What's wrong? Vanilla did something to you?" Devan sat on the edge of the bed then took a sip of warm ginger which always managed to make him feel better. The first ginger for her that was made by Lovi and Devan loved it very much. It was like something made the drink taste better.
"No,"
"Tell me, Lovi! Don't be afraid to ask for protection,"
Lovi smiled inwardly. Devan had just said something that made his stomach tingle. How could Lovi ask for protection on the person who also hurt her?
'Sir should have said that later. When the sentence is truly sincere from your heart. But I knew it would never happen.'
