"Devan, can I come to the hospital?"
Lovi let out his voice after a long moment of silence. Not even on the plane was a word issued. Lovi is too scared to provoke Devan's anger again. He chose to sleep on the journey.
Devan walked quickly because the driver who picked him up was already outside the airport.
"No, you guys are home. I went to the hospital myself,"
"But I-"
Devan stopped his steps and looked at Lovi sharply. The woman immediately closed her mouth and lowered her head.
"I'll go home with the kids. You be careful, yeah,"
There's nothing more to argue about. Lovi knows that Devan is still upset with her. That is why he knows himself. Maybe now Devan wants to avoid it. That's better. Rather than Devan snapping at him like a while ago.

Devan arrived at the hospital. His footsteps were really quick. The dent in his chest was instantly unkillful as he stepped on that white floor. Imagining his severely injured sister, Devan feels useless as an older brother.
Devan will see his sister's condition alone. He does not allow his wife and children to come along because Devan is too worried. Lovi's face was very pale earlier. Both of his children looked very sleepy. It would be better for them at home. While Devan is here sometime.
Devan went into his sister's room. The aroma of medicine so pierced Devan's sense of smell. His eyes heated up as he looked at Vanilla who was asleep with some bandages on her body.
Rena and Raihan also sleep in a sitting position. Seeing this scene Devan's heart sliced. He should have been here since that incident. He should have accompanied Raihan to all this. As a man, Devan knew very well how heavy the burden his father was carrying was. Seeing a child hurt is the toughest ordeal for a parent. Devan felt it.
Devan should have been the first to hug his sister when those blue eyes opened. In fact, he was busy on vacation while Vanilla was on the verge of death.
"Vanilla, I'm sorry." Devan scooped up as much air as possible. He lifted his head to sigh and expel the sadness that had been stirring his heart.
Vanilla blinked as she felt her head rubbed gently. He opened his eyes and as usual, the gaze would be blank.
"Devan, is this you?"
Devan bites his lower lip hard. What else is this? why did Vanilla ask what he should have known? is there something he missed again this time?
"Yes, it's me." Devan whispered before gently peeping his sister's forehead. He squinted as Vanilla's tears came down from the corner of his eye, soaking the beautiful face that was now a lot of wounds.
"I'm blind, Devan. I can't see you now,"
Devan froze while holding back his breath. A few seconds later, he nodded in disbelief. How could? god's fate hurts this for his sister?
Devan wanted to shout furiously at this fact. But he has no power to do so. Who should he blame here? The god? how come? He should be thankful that God is still kind to Vanilla. The girl left no one at this time. Only vision was lost from Vanilla.
"You don't have to cry" Vanilla looked around for her sister's face. Devan immediately grabbed his little sister's hand and placed it on his face. So that Vanilla knew that he did not cry even though Devan had wiped the sad tears from his handsome face.
"I don't cry if you're strong. I'm here with you. I'll help you see again, Vanilla."

Deni's current mood was completely chaotic. In addition to the accelerated wedding day, Deni also felt confused because none of the Devan family displayed their nose sticks.
It's her wedding day but the sadness is more dominating. He should be happy when he gives up his single life. But what Deni felt was just the opposite. He felt empty, and did not know what to do.
"I was too surprised when my mother sped this up,"
"I didn't expect either. Our parents are both weird,"
Deni doesn't laugh like Keynie. Because what Mama did too Mama Keynie is not something to be welcomed with joy.
"Thank you, maybe this is best for us according to them,"
Deni sighed softly. He sat down on one of the chairs and Keynie followed him. The guests who came were a little less crowded. The concept of their wedding is a garden party so that the warmth between the bride and her relatives is so felt because they all blend into one. Spend time talking, laughing, sharing happiness.
"Where's your best friend, Nile? You said it's coming?"
Denie can't answer Veronica, her mother. He asked the same thing several times. Because Veronica also knows Devan very well. Had met several times if Devan played to Deni's house while still alone. The last time Devan came to Deni's house was in the process of getting divorced with Lovi. Devan needs a friend to share his story.

Lovi came out of the bathroom feeling anxious. He had just urinated and immediately found a blood patch on his pants. Not much, but managed to make Lovi think hard.
"Am I too tired? or because I did something I shouldn't have done? but what?"
"Mom, where's Daddy going?"
Adrian was awake from his sleep. His face was brighter than before. Tired of how he felt during the trip from Jogja to Bali and then from Bali to Manhattan has begun to disappear.
He had asked Lovi twice about this and his mother was confused as to what to answer. If Lovi says Vanilla is hurt, Adrian's reaction will be more than he thought.
Adrian asked like that because Devan didn't say anything before leaving. His father was not saying goodbye, not even pinning a kiss on the forehead as usual. Did the 'match' Lovi said earlier really keep Devan busy?
"Mommy answered him, honey."
"Yes, but what business? a job?"
"Yes, work."
Adrian pursed his lips. Though previously as busy as Devan, Adrian and Andrean never separated from his attention. As small as anything that makes his son happy will certainly do Devan even though the work requires him to focus.
"Night, Daddy why, Mom? suddenly angry. Adrian wasn't naughty, Mom."
Lovi smiled and approached his son who was sleeping on the bed He and Devan. Lovi sat down beside Adrian, rubbing his son's head gently. He also did the same to Andrean who had not yet woken up from sleep.
"You are not naughty. Daddy's just exhausted. That's why it's like that. If Daddy's tired, Adrian don't make trouble."
"No, Adrian never looked for trouble. Adrian's a good boy,"
Lovi sneered, "Never look for trouble? that's right! his concussion has healed, now forgets his memory or what?" Lovi shook her head as her mind spoke so. My God, He was already too upset that Adrian was evading that He was speaking strangely.
"After that Daddy didn't apologize to Adrian. Though Adrian's heart was almost jumped, Mom because Daddy's voice was really loud. 'It's not funny that the heart of a handsome boy like Adrian jumps out of place. I'm afraid Adrian can't be in love later,"
