Farewell

Otis is in the ambulance. Although the nurse in the ambulance had told Otis that Tika was no longer helped. Otis insists that Tika is still alive. It seems like the man is not ready to lose Tika. Although their relationship is only limited to friends, but it feels Otis could not bear if Tikq had to go in a horrible way like this.

Upon his arrival at the hospital, Otis was approached by Mr. Abraham's driver. The man had been willing to follow Tika was taken by the nurses. But his steps came to a halt when he saw his partner in the hospital as well.

"Otis, what are you doing here?" the driver was confused. "Are Madam and Mister okay?"

Otis rubbed his face violently and sat down on the chair that was near the entrance. The man lowered his head and adjusted his unreasonable breath. He tried to calm his mind. "When the accident."

"Where?" the driver asked to know.

"Not far from home. If you look around again the road there is straight and never stuck. How could the taxi that Tika was riding in had an accident. The taxi hit a big tree. The car would not be as badly damaged as it was if it did not go at high speed. Judging from his position it seems the taxi driver deliberately crashed the car he was riding into a tree. But this is just my mind. I also don't know the true events because I didn't see the scene directly. Police are still under investigation."

"How can anyone commit suicide? I mean the cab driver must have a family and he didn't think about the fate of his family before he decided to crash the taxi he was riding into the tree." The driver seemed to lack confidence in Otis's guess.

"That's just my guess. Whether or not we don't know. Then what are you doing here. Are you not working?"

"So I got Mr. Abraham's permission to take my wife to the hospital. My wife is 9 months pregnant. Soon it will be a stream. I checked into the hospital to know the date of the operation."

Otis patted the man's shoulder. "Hopefully all is well. I have to go inside to see Tika. Even though his life was no longer helped, but at least I was able to bury it properly." The driver was silent. He looked to Otis's goon far away.

Otis glanced at the file and took it. He read it carefully. The letter contained Tika's death. In that instant Otis only realized that Tika was no longer in this world. "I'll pay for it. Let me bear all the costs. Please bathe Tika's body properly. After all the process is done I'll bury him."

"Good, Sir. But you have to take care of the administration first. This is the procedure you have to complete before we process Ms. Tika's body." Otis doesn't want to talk much anymore. The man immediately went to the front desk to pay off any costs. While walking Otis again remembered with Lady Yolanda and Mr. Abraham. When they went to take the car, Otis actually called them to stop. But Abraham no longer cared. The man drove his car quickly leaving Otis who was still alone there.

"They are rich people who have no conscience. They could have left Tika in this state" Otis murmured inwardly. The man took his phone which suddenly rang. Seeing the name of Mr. Abraham on his phone screen, Otis immediately raised the incoming call of the man.

"Hello, Mister."

"How's Tika doing?"

"His life is not helped. Now I'll prepare for his funeral."

"Let all my expenses be borne. You take care of everything there. Send me your account number, I'll send the money now."

Otis was silent for a moment. Actually the savings he had was enough to finance everything. But it feels too arrogant if he rejects the kindness of Mr. Abraham. "Alright, Sir. I'll send my account number immediately."
