Mrs Yolanda's Driver

Mrs Yolanda's Driver
Good People

A moment ago.

Otis almost died shivering when his legs were unable to step again. The man fell on top of a pile of snow that was so cold. His whole body was bleached. In the last second before he closed his eyes, suddenly someone came and gave him a very thick blanket. Someone also gave Otis a warm drink stored in a thermos-shaped bottle. Without seeing the face of the person who had helped him, Otis immediately drank the warm drink. He also did not want to freeze to death.

"What if the drink has poison? Why don't you ask before you take a sip," said the man to make Otis look at his face.

"If you want to kill me, you shouldn't have given me this drink and this blanket. Just let me get cold then I'll die by myself" Otis replied before sipping the warm drink again. It feels like the blood in the body is warm again when the warm drink enters the stomach.

"You're really lousy. I was gonna let you just walk away. But I can't bear to see you freeze to death." The man crouched down beside Otis.

"Thank you." Otis placed the drinking bottle on top of the pile of snow.

"Today the sun shines brightly. I thought there would be heavy snowfall" said the man, looking up at the blue sky.

"Why did you open your mask? That way I can remember your face." Otis knew that the man who was now helping him was the same man he had been chasing.

"Remember it. I don't think you're gonna hurt me. Judging from your appearance you seem like a good person. The most important thing is that you are not from this country. Indirectly I already have a new friend who comes from a different country to my birthplace."

"Are you still in school?" otis asked in curiosity. He had thought the person he thought was an intruder was the same age as him. But after the man opened the mask he looked like a 19-year-old. Otis did not expect that since then he was chasing a man whose age was far below him.

"I'm not in school anymore. I'm 20 years old. I live not far from here. But it seems you don't need to know where I live."

"You're afraid I'll come visit you?" sahut Otis with a smile.

"Yes. I don't know how to greet a guest" he replied so innocently.

Otis laughed hearing that. He patted the man on the shoulder and thought of him like his own sister. "Can I borrow your shirt. I can't go home with a blanket like this. This blanket is even heavier than my body."

"Isn't that what you're indirectly asking me to let you come to my house?"

Otis Nodded slowly. "Take it like that. Besides you at your house there's anybody."

"It was me and my mom who lived in that house. But my mother is sick. He can't walk anymore."

Otis felt pity. The man was more and more interested in seeing the state of the house. "I'm Otis. What's yourname?"

"I'm Robe. You can call me Obe. I love calling me that" Robe said with a small laugh.

"Robes. What a good name. It's nice to meet you."

"I'm also happy to see you, Otis!"

***

Lady Yolanda and Tesya looked at each other before they both looked at Otis again. It felt like the story Otis had just told was not at all interesting. They regretted having spent a lot of their time just to hear such an unimportant story. Especially Lady Yolanda.

"Then that guy named Robe took you to his house and lent you this shirt?" guess Madame Yolanda.

"Yes, Madam. Your guess is correct," Otis replied with a smile.

"I'm sorry, Madam. But I also have important information that I have to tell you. Robe said that this house was occupied by a murderer. These few months the killer disappeared after he managed to slaughter a family he lived in not far from this house. Are you also aware of this matter, Madam?"

"That's impossible. We bought this house from someone we could trust. Even now if we wanted to see him he would definitely come to see us. This house was purchased a long time ago. No one has ever entered it other than Lady Yolanda," Tesya replied as he was.

Otis was silent for a moment as if he was thinking about something. "That means you don't buy a house from a murderer. But it was the killer who stayed in this house. Have you ever kept any valuables in this lady's house?"

"There is a lot of money left in this house and the amount never decreases. We also sent a janitor to take care of the house. Otis, it looks like you've been bullied by that guy named Robe. Teenagers here really like to make the newcomers worry." Tesya wants to convince Otis not to have to believe the words of a newly discovered stranger.

"Tessa's right. You'd better not have to believe that guy's words. This house is mine. If it was true that an assassin had occupied this house, there would definitely be a suspicious trail. Everything is the same in its position. I'm sure no one dares enter this house but I'm the owner." Madame Yolanda got up from the sofa she was sitting on. "I want to rest in my room. I no longer feel for walking outside. If you want to go, just go, Tesya. If I need your help, I'll call you later. And for you Otis. Think of the menu for lunch."

"Well, ma'am," replied Otis and Tesya together. They looked at Madam Yolanda's back for a moment before looking at each other.

Tesya was speechless looking at Otis' handsome face. Just like the woman who had met Otis. The woman was also infatuated with the good looks of Otis. It was the first time he had met a handsome and dashing man like Otis.

"Miss Tesya, what do you see? Is there something wrong with my face?"

"Yes" Tesya answered quickly. "You're too handsome" he continued.

Otis scrunched his forehead. "You're not leaving?"

"You kicked me out?" Tesya supported his face with his hands. "Otis, why are you so handsome. A handsome man like you doesn't deserve to be a driver. You should just be my husband" praised Tesya with a reddened face in embarrassment. The woman looked cruel and cruel. But it turns out that he was also infatuated with Otis' good looks.

Otis raised one eyebrow. "Miss, you're over-complaining me. I am just an ordinary man. It's appropriate for an ordinary man like me to work as a driver." Otis picked up his phone lying on the table. The man was initially confused as to why his phone could be there. The last time he used that phone he put it in the kitchen.

"Whose number is this?" otis asked with a puzzled face as she looked at the new number stored on her phone.

"That's my phone number. Whenever you need help you can call me," Tesya replied with a wooing smile.

"How can you contact me? There is no network here."

"Otis, the network was deliberately shut down so you couldn't get in touch with Mr. Abraham. If you want this network to be active again, you just need to ask for permission from Mrs Yolanda. I'll activate it immediately if you've got permission."

Otis was silent. The man put his phone back on the table. "It seems that if there was no network it would be much better. I also don't know what to say to Mr. Abraham later."

"Oh yes, I had a chance to see Mrs Yolanda's eyes swollen. Did she just cry?"

"Did Lady Yolanda not tell you anything?" ask Otis back.

Tesya shook his head slowly. "What's wrong? Do you know anything I don't?"

"I'm sorry Miss Tesya. But I dare not tell you. I know you're the one Mrs Yolanda trusted. But I didn't dare tell you what really happened. If you want to know, you can ask Mrs Yolanda directly." Otis got out of that chair. "I'm sorry Tesya once again. I'm going to the room for a break. Thanks for the change of clothes. I hope it fits in my body."

Without saying much more Otis immediately went to the room leaving Tesya who was still sitting there.

Tesya leaned his body on the back of the sofa with a smile. "He's the only guy who doesn't get tempted when he sees me. Really interesting. Mrs Yolanda is never wrong when choosing a driver. The driver was always a handsome guy. But I also want to know Otis' martial ability. Is he a tough guy like the previous drivers?" tesya murmured in the heart.
