Mrs Yolanda's Driver

Mrs Yolanda's Driver
Meet Again

Otis's steps came to a halt when he passed by Mrs Yolanda. The woman looked at him for a moment before turning her gaze the other way. It seems he is heartbroken with Otis. It was obvious that he was so disappointed that he did not want to speak anymore. Although there was worry in his heart when he saw fresh blood at the corner of Otis' lips.

"Are you okay, Madam?" asked Otis gently.

"No. After you hurt me my heart isn't good anymore. You look just like Abraham. Why would you refuse to get in touch with me if you ended up sleeping with Tika. You're a very hypocritical man Otis. Until now I still can't believe you're like that. You have hurt my heart so badly. I believed that not all men were betrayed. There is still a man with only one woman. But you destroyed everything. Now I don't trust a man anymore. Whoever it is. No, you're not Abraham either. You have hurt my heart so badly."

"If you really love me, you should know why I'm doing all this. Let's just say we've never been a match. Go back to your husband. Live your life as it used to. It was the best decision for both of us." Otis knows his words hurt Madame Yolanda very much. But what else could Otis say.

"If from the beginning you decide to split up for what you're being nice to me. Just let me die after I find out my husband cheated on me. Why did you give me such a beautiful hope. You promised me a very sweet life, Otis. Did you forget that?" Lady Yolanda looked at Otis with teary eyes. The woman is still not ready to part from Otis.

"I'm sorry, Madam. Sorry." Otis.

Lady Yolanda wiped away the tears that had dripped on her cheeks and entered the office of Mr. Abraham. I don't know what that woman wants to do in there. Otis wants to find out. But he realized now that there was no relationship between them anymore. Otis had to entrust his happiness to Mr. Abraham, Lady Yolanda.

From the end of the hall Otis saw Tika walking while dragging a suitcase. Without a second thought the man immediately pursued if to prevent the woman from leaving.

"So, stop." Otis Holds Tika's hand and then pulls the woman to look at her face. "What do you want to do. Where are you going?"

"Mrs Yolanda asked me to meet her. I told you what really happened to Mrs Yolanda. But that woman still doesn't trust me. He asked me to leave this house. I'm just an Otis worker. What power would I have to endure in this house if the master alone did not need my strength anymore."

"But where are you going. You don't even have any money at all. What else is a place to live. Do you want to be a bum out there?"

"I don't know where Otis is going either

Don't ask me again. Right now I'm really dizzy." Tika crying. "It's a risk I have to accept, Otis. Wouldn't it be better to be a tramp than to be a prisoner. At least I still have freedom."

"Calm down. Don't cry anymore. I know where you're going. Stay in my village. There is a house left by my parents that is not taken care of anymore. I'll give you my neighbor's phone number. You can meet him. Her name is Lula. The guy's very nice. He will definitely help you get there safely." Otis took his wallet out of his pocket and took all the money he had in there and gave it to Tika. "This is all I have. Use this money as best you can. Always be careful and stay alert. Do not let the same thing happen again. If you've arrived at my house, let me know immediately. So too if you're having trouble. Quickly call me so I'll see you right away to help you." Otis looks very worried when he wants to take off Tika to leave. "This is her phone number. Lula's her name." Otis gave the phone number to Tika.

Seeing Otis' endless kindness made Tika even more eager to cry. "Thank you Otis. Thank ye. I'm sorry for involving you in the trouble that's happened in my life. I'm so sorry."

"Don't cry anymore. This has become our life's destiny. You're a good woman Tika. I never misjudge people. We also have to face the reality of life even though it tastes so bitter." Otis pulled Tika into his arms then rubbed the woman's back gently. He hoped that such a simple treatment could make Tika calm down again.

From a distance Mrs Yolanda and Mr Abraham both came out of the study. Again they saw a very unexpected sight. Madam Yolanda looked sad but the woman immediately left. Mr. Abraham smiled and chased after Mrs Yolanda from behind.

Tika took off Otis embrace before looking at the man deeply. "I know you're not calm here either. Maybe you'll face a much more serious problem than the one I'm facing. I can't help anything. I can only give you one trick in order to last a long time in this house. At least even if you're kicked out of this house you're still alive."

"A trick?" Otis scrunched his forehead.

"Actually Mr. Abraham was a very good man. Often the people nearby disappointed him. But he's actually a very forgiving man. Different from Mrs Yolanda. If a woman is hurt, it is hard to forgive. If you've decided to end your relationship with Mrs Yolanda, show Mr. Abraham that you really want to improve. Help Mr. Abraham rebuild his household. That way you'll get more trust from Mr. Abraham. You will be accepted into this house and can sleep peacefully" Tika said in a serious manner.

"But I won't be able to do what you just said. It was heavy for me" Otis said unsure.

"That's just a simple trick I was thinking about. Want to use it or not It's up to you that important I've given input. I gotta get going. Once I get there I'll call you right away. Thank you for being my friend." Tika put the money Otis gave her into the bag.

Otis smiled then patted Tika's shoulder slowly. "Take care of yourself."

Tika nodded then pulled her suitcase again to get away from there. While Otis was still standing while looking at Tika's back that was getting away. The man himself did not know now how to. His job is still as a driver. But Otis was not convinced that Mr. Abraham would let him become Mrs Yolanda's personal driver again.

"Otis, Mr. Abraham called you."

Suddenly someone greeted Otis from behind. Otis looked at Tika who had disappeared then looked at the man who had called him.

"Sir Abraham is waiting for you in front."

"All right." Otis immediately stepped towards the main door. The man himself wondered in his true heart Mr. Abraham wanted to call him because he wanted to say what. Isn't their conversation in the workspace pretty clear.

In front of the house, Mr. Abraham stood in a neat suit. Beside the man was Madam Yolanda who now looked very beautiful. Seeing Otis's appearance made Mr. Abraham smile.

Madame Yolanda stared at Otis' face briefly before holding Mr. Abraham. They both stepped into the car. Otis sighed harshly before walking closer to the car.

"Well, once a driver will forever remain a driver" Otis murmured inwardly.

...***...

Otis drove his car at a moderate speed. Not far away they left the house Otis already shocked by the accident there. A taxi hit a big tree. His condition is so terrible. I can't imagine what the passengers are doing in there. The people around have gathered and the number is getting bigger. They are trying to help the victim.

Otis continued to drive his car because there was nothing blocking their way. But the man suddenly braked his car when he saw Tika's face sitting in the passenger seat.

"Now?" chirps.

"Otis Road! Why did you stop!" sahut Madam Yolanda growled.

"Madam, the woman in the cab was Tika. I need to help him immediately."

Abraham looked to the side. The man also saw Tika sitting back there. Residents around try to get Tika out of the car. Even Mr. Abraham felt sorry and agreed with Otis' decision to help Tika and take the woman to the hospital. However, Tika had worked at her home and provided many services there.

But that thought was not the same as Madame Yolanda. Although he clearly saw Tika was in the accident. But his heart was not moved to help.

"Hurry way. I don't care about him anymore. No matter what the circumstances, it is no longer my business because he is no longer a worker in my house" said Mrs Yolanda.

"I'm sorry, Madam. But I will still help Tika," Otis argued. The man immediately got out of the car and ran towards the direction of the accident taxi.

Madame Yolanda looked very upset. Mr. Abraham took the woman's hand and gently rubbed it. "Are you afraid of being late? I can be the driver on our way this time?"

"No. I want Otis to be the driver. This car will not be able to walk before Otis sits in his chair," replied Mrs Yolanda still with an annoyed face.

Otis is helped by the surrounding residents pulling Tika's body wedged inside the taxi. The man was really shocked. Tika's situation is very sad. After successfully removing Tika from the taxi, Otis immediately placed it on the grass. A resident called an ambulance and the ambulance was still on its way. Otis patted Tika's cheeks hoping that the woman still heard him.

"Well wake. It's me Otis. Can you still hear my voice?"

Tika opened her eyes slowly. Otis smiled with relief at her. "When you'll survive. I'll take you to the hospital soon."

"I can't feel my whole body Otis. My body feels very weak. I'm not strong anymore. It seems like this is the end of my life. Thank you for getting to know me as a good Tika. Keep in mind I'm a good Tika up to that point."

"What are you talking about. You'll be safe because soon an ambulance will come and take you to the hospital" Otis replied.

"I'm sorry for the mistakes I've made." Tika closed her eyes slowly. Fresh blood came out from the woman's ears and nose. Otis is panicking. She held Tika's hand and rubbed it hoping that she would wake up again. But there was no visible response.

"Well wake. I'll take you to the hospital." Otis' eyes look teary. The man couldn't see Tika dead in such a horrible way.

"Wake up Tika, I beg you."

From inside the car Mrs Yolanda was also crying but the woman was not crying Tika who is now gone in this world but crying Otis who looks very worried about the situation of Tika. Mr. Abraham was pleased that without him planning such a scene was presented before him. The man hoped his wife would soon open her eyes and heart. No longer wishing and no longer loving Otis.

"It seems like they've been in a relationship for a long time. Just look at her worried face. Even Otis was crying over the woman" said Mr. Abraham. He hoped that his words could make Madame Yolanda even hotter and hate Otis.

"Take me out of here now," Madame Yolanda pinta looked on without looking. Mr. Abraham smiled faintly hearing it.

"alright sweetheart. As a husband, I'll take you wherever you want to go. But can you move to the front seat. Don't treat me like a driver."

Without much protest Mrs Yolanda got out of the car and sat on the front bench. Abraham did not want to waste the opportunity. He immediately sits behind the wheel and drives his car to leave Otis who is still crying over Tika's departure there.

"I knew the process would be difficult but I was sure I could win my wife's heart again" murmured Mr. Abraham inwardly confidently.
