MOON IN PESANTREN

MOON IN PESANTREN
Unaware

The expression of Harsa's feelings one month ago didn't bring much change to our friendship. It doesn't get us closer like two people in love, it doesn't make us stay away from each other out of awkwardness after she reveals it. You could say, we were mediocre, like nothing happened. Yes, it is not a matter of concern, Harsa just told me honestly about her feelings for me. That'sthat's all.

We completed the whole test. I can't believe that initially feels heavy, it becomes easy when we focus on living it. No need to think much about how the results, just live with the intention of worship. With effort and prayer. Sometimes things feel heavy because our own thoughts, our minds are too afraid, too anxious about what is in front of us. Maybe I've heard motivational words like this and it's hard to fight our own thoughts, but when I'm down, I need those motivational words to get back up.

Friends began to prepare for UTBK and self-selection on this leisure day, essentially filing themselves into the world of lectures by studying. We have no activities at school, just doing the boarding house every day while waiting for graduation. The SNMPTN results announcement will come out today at 13:00, all of which took the SN line were tense about the results they would receive.

“So take psychology at SN?”

“Iya. What do you take yourself in the first choice?” askaku.

“Goddessa medicine.”

I've been expecting people as cool as Harsa to choose to take medicine. All teachers suggest it that way. So did Zahra, she was very determined to get into medicine. I knew they were taking the same college.

“My interest is not in medicine. I want him to enter the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, majoring in History.”

“History? You are an IPA major, not a Social Science major. Why interest in history? After all, all your good grades, want to enter the best university as well as Insyaallah. Continuing difficult majors like medicine was Insyaallah you immediately accepted as well.”

Harsa chuckled, her teeth line up. “Excessive, Cell. Good value is not guaranteed, if good value but God is not ridho how?” Pause for a few seconds, Harsa again chuckled. “Your response is like any other. Strange yes if the IPA children want to enter history?”

I grinned. “Yes no, anyway. Then, why did you take it to medicine?”

“Early parents, given input from teachers as well. Yes, they know what is best for their children. Bismillah, good luck. Oh yeah, Andra's going to Turkey, right? Awesome her, cool.”

I smiled faintly and then got up from the chair in front of the announcer table and headed for the glass cabinet which contained about two hundred more room keys, the keys were hanging neatly according to its place. I reached for the key with a hanger that read ‘110’ to open the library space.

Santri Madrasah Ibtidaiyah began to arrive after the library I opened. Today is Sunday until the hostel is crowded. Some of them choose to take the game tools and play them in front of the library. Shortly after, the boarder who is currently serving in the library has arrived, I also intend to return to the dorm management office. However, I saw Andra coming with Faaz, my sister. They seemed to have just come from the field, usually Faaz always asked to be taught basketball by Andra or Harsa.

“Kak, this same brown drink from Kak Andra.” Faaz handed me the plastic bag. “Kalo Kak Andra has left for Turkey surely Kak Seli kangen, Kak Seli would like Kak Andra.” My sister's mouth was like no brake, she told Andra many times what embarrassed me.

I bit my lower lip, took a breath and exhaled quickly. “Still drink.” I'm back at the management office. Suddenly, Andra's voice called out to me. I'm turning. “Why?”

“Tangkep!” Andra suddenly threw a chocolate bar at me.

“Don't pretend to be innocent. Make who else if not for you.” Afterward Andra developed a smile at me while embracing Faaz, and they passed away.

In a few minutes the SNMPTN results announcement came out. Tasks in the management office are quite a lot, making time pass so quickly. The drowsiness started to attack the two of us who had been on duty since morning, the next session manager had not come so we had to stay here. Harsa leaned her body on the chair and covered her face with a book. Maybe he's sleeping.

The time came, staring at the computer screen in front of me. Look at the announcement. I breathe out slowly. The results are not as I wish. Yeah, I haven't been accepted into the university that I'm after through this line. Maybe, God wants me to study more, I realize my learning is not diligent.

“Where, Cell?” Harsa woke up and looked at my screen which showed that I was not welcome. “Energy, Cell. Uh, that's your chocolate?” Harsa pointed at the chocolate that was on the table. “From Andra, yes?”

I'm nodding. “Ente how did it go? Check dong.”

We looked at the LTMPT page and then gave thanks together. “Alhamdulillah.”

“Congratulations Harsa Became a new student of UNPAD Medicine,” I told him excitedly.

Andra stared at the shady trees from her dorm rooftop. Feel the wind in the afternoon. He had long since returned to his normal activities, back to training basketball, escorting activities in the mosque as well as activities as a twelfth grade santri.

The teenage boy with narrowed eyes and his white skin sighed many times. Recall what he saw and heard that day. Bak was struck by lightning during the day, his heart ached to hear the sentence coming out of the mouth of his classmate at the anniversary one month ago. Though Andra himself already knew about Harsa's feelings for Seli because actually Harsa had told Andra. The reason Harsa told Andra first was because he did not want to be a liar, especially against Andra who was his close friend. Sadly, it was Andra herself who asked Harsa to tell Seli about her feelings. Andra belittled this so much that she did not realize that she was also sick of hearing it. He also felt his chest tight when he saw the woman he had admired for two years with other people and that was his own close friend. Andra admitted that she was late to realize her feelings for Seli, all this time she thought her feelings were only limited to her sister because from the beginning she knew Seli, she was ordered by her mother to take care of Seli, so Andra never thought she would like Seli like this.

“Again after graduation the possibility I do not see Seli again, God willing I will be long in Turkey. So, maybe it's better if Seli is a match with Harsa,” Andra said to herself.

“Dra, come to the field.” Andra's friend who lives in Papua approached him while carrying a basketball.

Andra nodded to her friend, then deliberately dropped the bracelet with Hello Kitty shades that she had been holding since. The bracelet landed in the dorm garden.
