"Good day everyone. Thank you for taking the time to attend this sudden meeting."
Mr. Gunawan as the chief commissioner presided over the meeting that day after getting reports of abuse for years. As a person who knows exactly the company since its establishment, he felt annoyed that there were parties who made the company's condition unstable because of too focused on enriching themselves.
"As we both know, the state of the company is decreasing year by year. There are many voices who want a change of leadership after the departure of Mr. Bara. However, what we know ourselves for 15 more years is no change at all."
Thea smiled. He knew Mr. Gunawan was looking for him. The man was indeed one of the parties who was very difficult to cooperate with him.
"If you don't have to talk. We know you mean the one who wants to drop the position of Mother President. Without clear evidence, your words are just sheer malice" said Pak Buyung, Thea's main backer.
The participants of the meeting there were divided into two camps. Some want a power overhaul and more are asking Thea to remain in charge of the company for no apparent reason.
"Our position as the board of commissioners just sits quietly watching you work? We won't have this meeting if there's nothing to talk about."
Mr. Gunawan did not immediately accept the protest from Mr. Buyung. He pulled out a stack of files in front of all the meeting participants. He also coded his assistant to display the core of the document's content.
As one by one the evidence was displayed, they were stunned to the point of not being able to believe it.
"This is impossible" said Mr. Buyung who was shocked by the contents of the document.
The atmosphere of the meeting became more noisy. They argue with each other about the contents of the document until they open up the evidence that Mr. Gunawan brought.
Thea's face paled. He did not expect there to be a trace of disgrace left behind when he took over the company fraudulently. He stared at the one person who always supported him. They deliberately avoided looking at him.
Thea wanted to laugh. When he was in a successful condition, they came to lick. When the time of trouble came, everyone pretended not to know him.
"Mother President, can you explain this?" ask Mr. Gunawan.
"What explanation should I give? Isn't this what you've been waiting for?" Thea neither denies nor denies.
"It's been a problem for a long time, Mr. Gunawan. Why are you talking about it again?" Mr. Buyung is still trying to defend Thea. He knew if the position of the woman was threatened, then the position was also not safe.
"The company's downturn is not just due to the recent conditions. As president, Mother Thea must take full responsibility for what happened to the company for the past 15 years."
There was a heated discussion in the meeting room. The board wanted a shake-up, but the top brass insisted they wanted to keep Thea there.
"I think you'll keep talking if I don't get it out!"
Gunawan's patience has run out. Actually Janu forbade him to use that data in the meeting. He just wanted to quickly silence their venomous mouths.
All were again stunned when Mr. Gunawan showed the misappropriation of the project case in the next city that had occurred 20 years ago. In the document was also shown the unnatural transfer of power between Bara Atmaja and the Budianto family.
Brak!
"What the fuck!" snapped Thea.
He looked so angry that he hit the table. Gunawan really humiliated him in the meeting until they whispered about him.
"Why should you panic? We are not involved with the President's mother at all" Arsen said.
Ira speechless. He forgot that his son knew nothing about their conspiracy.
"Will anyone dispute our findings?" ask Mr. Gunawan.
The participants of the meeting seemed silent. They no longer dare to ask after valid evidence is plastered. They are thinking about how to save themselves.
"As discussed earlier, this time we will choose a new president to replace Mother Thea who is considered unfit to lead the company."
Mr. Gunawan's words were very painful for Thea. In addition to embarrassment, he considers months as a talking point in meetings.
"We have presented a prospective successor president who is considered worthy to lead the company. Please come into the room!"
After being invited in, Janu stepped through the door to meet them. He put on a proud smile every step of the way to meet them.
His presence there certainly made the various parties astonished. In addition to handsome, his name is foreign in the world of business homeland but immediately sticking out.
"Arsen, isn't he a man close to that damn woman?" ask Ira.
Arsen could only clench his fingers tightly. In addition to losing Cheryl, he also had to give up the position he was looking for taken.
Janu stood gallantly beside Mr. Gunawan. "Good day, everybody. Thank you for your presence here. Probably most did not know who I was and how I could be here." he was able to speak confidently before them.
"Include me, my name is Janu" said Janu. He looked back one by one at their faces. "Optimer precisely ... January Atmaja."
The atmosphere instantly boisterous as Janu mentioned his full name loudly. Many do not think the children of the Atmaja family are still alive today. No exception with Thea and Ira. They were shocked to get such news. All this time they thought Janu and Kenzo were dead.
Mr. Gunawan grabbed Janu's shoulder. "As we all know, the Atmaja family has been wiped out by a still-mysterious party. Luckily, he's still living well to this day."
"Thank you for keeping the company until now. I had to fight for 17 years to get back on my feet in this company, continuing my father's unresolved ideals."
Almost all the participants clapped. They admired the struggle Janu had put in to get there. Meanwhile, Thea chooses to leave the meeting room accompanied by her guards. He felt defeated by the child.
Janu smiled slightly after stopping Thea from there. He vowed to give another, more painful surprise to the woman.
"Well, I think the meeting can be ended and we officially appointed January Atmaja as the new president of PT Atmajaya Sentosa."
The sound of applause came back. One by one they congratulated him a moment before leaving the place.
"Sir Gunawan, thank you" said Janu.
"You don't have to thank me. It is my duty to give back what is yours."
