Chapter 38: Finding Valuable Letters

Cheryl just got home from work. He put the bag on the nightstand and laid himself on the bed. He sighed, working all day in the office made him tired.

Janu had been gone for a month and there was no sign that he would return. Even if Janu never preached it. He also did not expect news from her. But, sometimes he felt lonely in such a big house. They usually argue and have different opinions.

Cheryl wakes up from the fall. He walked out of the room to Janu's room. As usual, the room seemed empty and quiet. If there's Janu, he can't just go in.

He looked at the entire Janu room including a very large wedding photo of them on display there.

"Well! That guy, why put the wedding photos in the room all," he murmured.

Janu marries her for taking advantage of her moment of amnesia. Surprisingly, the man still kept their wedding photos even displaying them in the room.

Cheryl approached the photo and felt it with her hand. There was a sense of longing as he looked at the photo.

Cheryl prancing in shock. Something fell out from behind the photo. He took. It turned out to be one of his property ownership documents.

He immediately shifted the photo. There is a hole in the wall in the shape of a box behind the photo. It was there that Janu kept all of Cheryl's assets there. He was surprised and happy to find it.

"Oh, finally ...," said Cheryl.

He took all his documents into his own room. He put it in a suitcase with some clothes. He intends to go to Arsen and escape from Janu.

Drrt ... Drrt ....

Cheryl's phone is ringing. He hurriedly took it from the bag. Michan contacted him.

"Hello, Michan, what's wrong?" ask Cheryl.

"Cher, looks like we should meet. When is there time?"

Cheryl frowned. "Why indeed?"

"I can't say it on the phone, anyway it's important and we should meet."

Cheryl was thinking of a good time to meet her friend. Tomorrow he can't because he's going to see Arsen. "Em, how about the day after tomorrow? I have business tomorrow" Cheryl said.

"Oh, whatever you are."

"Where do we want to meet? What's in a regular restaurant?" ask Cheryl.

"Ah, no, no ... You just come to my apartment. This is important!"

Cheryl was curious as to what Michan was going to say. "Yes, yeah. The day after tomorrow I'll come to your place."

"Sir, Bull has been caught and is in jail" Finn said.

"So, our business here is done, right?" ask Janu.

"What about Mr Dimitri's remaining men? Shall we disband or what, sir?"

Janu thought for a moment. He does not want to continue the crimes committed by Dimitri, including taking over the mafia group led by his adoptive father. However, to face a great war in the homeland, he needed a lot of strength. When he first came home, Janu had brought some of Dimitri's men with him, including Finn who chose to be on his side.

"We take some of the best of them and let the rest disperse. I don't think they would have done anything without Dimitri or Bull" Janu said.

He deliberately weakened Dimitri and Bull's position. With both of them going to jail, there will be no more activity in the mafia group. Even Silvia also did not have the power to govern them.

"Tell them to get ready to take me home!" Janu's orders.

"Okay, sir," replied Finn.

Janu's phone is shaking. There's a call coming in from Thor. He has a bad feeling if something happens in his house there.

"Hello, Thor? Why?" ask Janu.

"Sir, there seems to be something strange about Madam."

Janu guessed it. "Why him?"

"The lady left the house carrying a suitcase. I'm forbidden to drive him."

Janu sighed. He began to lose patience with the woman. "Finn, connect the monitor with the home CCTV access!" his orders.

Janu turned off the phone and switched to sitting at his desk facing the monitor screen. After Finn connected to the CCTV access, he opened the saved footage.

There were quite a number of recordings that he had not yet researched. He chose the day before. He sped up the CCTV footage and looked for the odd part.

When she saw Cheryl enter her room, she began to notice what she was doing. Sure enough, the woman held their wedding photo and accidentally dropped something. Finally Cheryl found out where she hid all the valuable papers.

"Ah, I should have left it to the lawyer" muttered Janu while patting her forehead.

He follows Cheryl's movements, bringing the letters into the room. On the latest footage, the woman is indeed seen exiting the room carrying a suitcase.

Janu chuckles. His wife really needs to be taught a lesson. The woman had hurt her pride.

"Finn, my wife wants to run away to her boyfriend. He brought all those precious papers," Janu told his men.

Janu's body seemed to be squeezing. Though he had been kind enough to help Cheryl investigate the killer of her family, but she did not seem to believe in her good intentions.

If Cheryl takes over everything, Janu's move to take over her family's company will again meet obstacles. Meanwhile, his position is still abroad.

"What are we going to do, sir?" ask Finn.

Janu laughed again. "I don't know either, Finn. The woman is really stupid and troublesome." - grumbled.
