Chapters. 06 - Meeting
In the morning, Shu Yinzhi visited Shu Qingzhi's room in the vicinity of his residence. He was curious why Shu Qingzhi's face was so similar to her. He even remembered the old saying. ”If you meet someone who has the same face as you then, he is your soul mate.”
”No! Nah! How could I possibly believe the old saying?! She was just a girl whose whereabouts were still unknown. I have never even met a girl who is able to fight against five villains at once.” Inner Shu Yinzhi who instantly distracts her from Shu Qingzhi who is still asleep.
He's so strong. His hunting instincts are very sharp.
”Your Majesty! Your Majesty!” exclaimed a young eunuch who ran into the room and stood directly in front of Shu Yinzhi.
Shocked Shu Yinzhi began to ask, ”What fuss is looking for me?”
After the Eunuch gave his greetings, he said back, This young lady, turns out to be the palace princess of the Concubine, Shu Qingzhi. There was one of the servants who was busy looking for Nonanya even to sneak into the imperial Palace.”
Hearing him made Shu Yinzhi seem very surprised. He immediately gazed back at Shu Qingzhi and gazed back at the eunuch. ”You said his name was Shu Qingzhi? Where did you know that?”
The eunuch replied, ”That servant girl told me. She is looking for the 16th Princess Shu Qingzhi.”
Shu Yinzhi was shocked. He immediately opened the sleeves of Shu Qingzhi's clothes slightly and he immediately saw dozens of incision wounds and burns that made his skin different from the others.
I've heard stories about the 16th Princess whose existence wasn't even acknowledged by the Emperor. All the Princess concubines always gave her a very deep scar. He had even been pushed into a forest filled with wild stars. And because of that, the lowly servant who had guarded her since childhood was torn to death. And not long ago, I heard that the 16th Princess fell ill from an infection in her scars that was not treated properly. I thought she was fine but, The Princess concubines forced her to sleep outside because they had locked the storage shed that was her residence.
”Why do I feel so upset and sorry to see her? Who did all this? But, why could he be that easy to leave his palace? Did he already not put up with everyone who was there so he decided to leave?” inner Shu Yinzhi who looked at her with pity as well as being annoyed with the attitude that the Princess concubines showed.
”Your Majesty, do we have to return it to the palace of the concubines?” ask the eunuch.
”No.” chirps Shu Yinzhi. ”Let's hear what the waiter said first.” he continued as he walked out of the room to meet Fu Yiren who was already waiting for him in front there.
As he was in front, he immediately looked at Fu Yiren who seemed to be worried about Shu Qingzhi's situation after he had not returned all night. Then, after Fu Yiren saw Shu Yinzhi in front of him, he immediately stepped back and asked, ”Your Majesty! Sorry for my stupidity. Can I find out, how is Miss doing right now? If he gets hurt, I beg you to save him.” he said while prostrating in front of him.
Shu Yinzhi walked up to him and said, ”Step up your body!”
Fu Yiren felt very surprised. He immediately raised his head and looked directly at Shu Yinzhi who was in front of him.
Fu Yiren was shocked and opened his eyes again.
Shu Yinzhi continued, ”Why did the 16th Princess escape from the Palace? I found him fighting with five intruders and ended up with cuts and arrows on both shoulders. You are her personal servant and you should know how your current Miss feels.”
Instantly Fu Yiren was speechless with a face that could not help but pity given the recent events that had befallen Shu Qingzhi. He could not resist his urge to cry so he could only bow in silence.
”I don't mean to be disrespectful to Your Majesty. But, this lowly maid begs Her Majesty to let Miss stay next to you for a while. He never found peace in the palace of the Princess concubine. Actually, right now Miss is sick but, the Princess concubines are always bothering her. Therefore, I beg Your Majesty to let Miss stay here!” fu Yiren said while prostrating in front of him.
So, the news about the 16th Princess was true. I didn't think I could meet him. And why, this has to happen?
”The emperor might be angry if he finds out that the 16th Princess is staying in his palace. You too, should think about the people around you and what it would be like if the 16th Princess stayed in the Emperor's Palace.” Shu Yinzhi replied.
Fu Yiren looked extremely shocked as well as depressed by what Shu Yinzhi said. He knew he shouldn't have been in the imperial palace and that he should have stayed in the palace of the concubine's daughters. However, he was too worried about her that he decided to follow her.
Fu Yiren raised his head back and said, ”Im sorry for this servant earlier. But, does Your Majesty believe that in truth, Miss is His Majesty's sister and twin sister?”
Shu Yinzhi was speechless with a face that could not help his surprise after hearing this. He laughed mockingly and said quietly, ”How could that possibly happen? You liken me to a sickly 16th Princess like that?” said Shu Yinzhi while looking at Fu Yiren coldly.
”....!”
For a moment, Shu Yinzhi turned her attention and said, ”Go with your Princess. I don't need you two if I'm in this Palace.” he said as he turned back to her.
A few steps as he was about to leave the place, suddenly a voice sounded, ”Yinzhi! Wait a minute!” yelled Liu Zhenqi who ran up to him with a piece of paper in his hand.
Shu Yinzhi directly looked towards Liu Zhenqi who had been next to him and asked, ”What's the matter?”
Liu Zhenqi showed the paper in front of him and said, ”You must read this letter! This is a message written directly by the late empress!”
