Mad Crown Princess
Chapters. 04 - Exit the Palace
To meet the Crown Prince, I had to go out to look for him and find the palace where he lived.
That night, Shu Qingzhi deliberately wore a black robe to keep him from being noticed by the guards. After all, no one would notice it and no one would know that she was also a Princess even though her existence was not acknowledged by the Emperor.
Shu Qingzhi went out of his room. Then, just as he had just opened his door, Fu Yiren came and blocked his steps. He asked, ”Nona want to go where? It's late and it's time for Miss to rest.”
Initially Shu Qingzhi tried to keep going however, Fu Yiren still insisted on blocking him. Then, because Shu Qingzhi was convinced that Fu Yiren could not be stopped, he showed him a piece of paper found in the ground.
Fu Yiren looked at her confusedly and asked, ”What paper is Miss? You want to show me something?”
Shu Qingzhi pointed towards a name written on the paper. And a few moments next to her, Fu Yiren looked surprised after what Shu Qingzhi pointed to turned out to be the name of her late empress.
”D~ where Miss found this letter? Did Miss find a way for Miss to be recognized by Her Majesty the Emperor and get Miss Rights back as Crown Princess?” fu Yiren asked who still could not believe what Shu Qingzhi had discovered.
Shu Qingzhi pointed towards the tabebuya flower tree that grew not far in front of him. ”Emperor can no longer be trusted. The only hope is to persuade the crown prince that he will accept me.” he said while saving the letter again.
Fu Yiren immediately said, "But, Miss! Too dangerous out there let alone nights like this.”
Seeing Fu Yiren who was so worried about him made Shu Qingzhi feel happy. He formed his long-invisible little smile and said, ”Thank you. I'll be fine outside.”
Fu Yiren was so moved when he saw her. He couldn't even help but turn his red face when he saw Shu Qingzhi's long-unformed expression.
”This servant will definitely help Miss go out!” fu Yiren said enthusiastically.
Shu Qingzhi was so surprised. He immediately shook his head and slowly walked back from it. It was as if he said not to do such a troublesome thing. He felt sure he could take care of himself.
Fu Yiren went back to low and said, ”If Miss doesn't want this servant to come with you at least, take this with you just in case.” she said while giving a dagger in her hand.
”Nona definitely needs a weapon if anyone does anything with Miss. If Miss takes him, I can feel a little calm.”
Shu Qingzhi was shocked and moved by what Fu Yiren had done. This was the first time he had seen someone so worried about his condition that it was even like this.
While in the hospital, he was always met with quarrels made by large-bodied people. Shu Qingzhi who knew nothing was forced to get involved in the quarrel even to the point of breaking some of his ribs. From then on, Shu Qingzhi trained himself not to be afraid of anyone who would fight him.
Hugging the dagger covered by a black cloth, Shu Yulan said slowly, ”Thank you.” he said which made Fu Yiren feel astonished. After that, he ran away from the place.
The palace of the White Stork that she lived in and also the residence of the Princess concubines had four gates that were heavily guarded by the guards. In the middle of the silence of the night, Shu Qingzhi had to hide behind the huge buildings that were at each of its gates.
The lake is cold and dark at night. In a narrow crevice, there were many Azalea flowers growing around it. The smell during the day feels like dust but, when visiting it at night, the aroma turns into calmness that will lead you in temporary happiness. Follow the light of fireflies that shine at night. You'll find some warmth out there.
”A narrow road that only one person can pass!”
Shu Qingzhi stared at a gap between the buildings which were the bathhouses. Then, as he walked up to her, there was a smell of Azalea flowers burning around him. Then, there is a firefly light that lights up at night.
That noise was heard at the end there. Maybe this is the way out.
After he followed a small road and climbed a wall that was not too big, he finally arrived outside the palace. It was immediately presented with a view of the imperial city that was so crowded and had a lot of lantern light flying there.
”Why is everyone happy?” inner Shu Qingzhi who looked surprised upon seeing it. ”Everyone laughed. There were many merchants who were delighted when hundreds of lanterns were flown. But, why have I never been as happy as them?”
Shu Qingzhi bit his lips. He walked back to the Emperor's palace far away. Passing through the hustle of the Emperor city made Shu Qingzhi not feel at home for long there. He immediately walked quickly until he finally reached a quiet alley that was not inhabited by the locals.
Stuffy! I can't breathe.
Shu Qingzhi continued to hold onto his chest which felt hot. He was not used to being among the crowd of people who always blocked the road. He sat down for a while to end his shortness of breath.
Shortly after, he stood back up when the tightness in his chest disappeared. This time he walked following the red rope that had led him all the way to a terrible place like this. Despite that, Shu Qingzhi felt more comfortable when he was here compared to when he was in the Emperor city.
However, just after taking a few steps, a group of black-robed people came up to him with large swords as well as spears hanging on their backs.
”What is this? New problem?” inner Shu Qingzhi while looking at the four black-robed men.
”This woman is not from a noble family. He must have come from a poor family.” said one man.
”It's just free if we host it. His family doesn't even want him back.”
Hearing this remark, he suddenly recalled his current position. Their words did not hurt. She is an unwanted princess and is hated by everyone who knows her. They didn't even realize he was a courtier.
I'm fed up! Can't take it anymore! I have to take it off immediately!
Shu Qingzhi took out the dagger that Fu Yiren had previously given him. He then showed the knife in front of them and then, he looked at him with the cold gaze of a murderer.
”It's time to execute the villain.”
