Chapter 57. Papa's departure

Arumi took a chair and sat down beside her father's bed. Arumi held her Papa's hand. With tears in her eyes, Arumi invited her father to speak. I sat down next to Arumi.

"I'm sorry if I've carved so many wounds in your heart, Pa. I'm sorry if I've shed so many tears out of Papa's eyes. I'm really sorry, I'm going to try to be a kid you can be proud of. From today I promise I'll never leave you again." Arumi said while holding tightness in her chest.

The doctor said that Papa's heart disease could not be helped.

"Father and mama, you have every right to be angry with me. I'm sorry that my words yesterday hurt so much. May you and I forgive you. How could I have been so selfish? Papa and Mama are amazing parents and I feel very sorry for all my bad behavior.

Arumi's tears spilled over seeing his Papa just silent without being able to answer what he said. Papa looked at Arumi without a blink. With great difficulty Papa spoke.

Shaka peeked out of the glass, seeing what was happening. The doctor asks Arumi and her mother to come out. The doctor will try to help Papa.

Shaka can only see Arumi crying in her mother's arms. He did not dare to approach.

Arumi, I want to feel like I'm hugging you and giving you peace. Seeing you as fragile and crying, my heart was also sad and hurt.

Almost an hour doctors and nurses tried to save Papa Arumi's life. When the Doctor came out of the room, Arumi and Mama immediately approached the Doctor.

"How's my Papa doing, Doc?" said Arumi.

"Doctor mean, what?"
