I slowly started walking without holding on. At first I learned how to get out of a wheelchair and then walk with a cane. And a little bit I practiced walking by taking off the stick. The leg muscles that I felt were heavy and stiff now began to feel light when I took it walking. The spine, waist and hips that used to feel pain when I brought it up are no longer.
