"Hello."

"Hello friend. I have good news for you." said the caller.

"Zahra?" asked the man who excitedly stood up from his seat.

"Yes. I just called him. He's already fine. But still at home. It doesn't seem to be at work yet." replied the caller.

"Thank God" said the man who was none other than Ega.

"I'm taking her to a cafe later in the afternoon. And the good news is, he's willing to accept my request for you to pick me up."

"Are you serious?" ask Ega to make sure.

"Seriously lah. Why do I want to keep you in touch."

"Thanks, Don. thanks. What time will I pick you up?"

"What time do you come home from work? Later after you go straight to his house."

"Okay, thanks a lot. I'll see you later."

Ega ends her phone call with Doni. He was so happy and relieved to hear the good news.

In spirit he finished the rest of the work today. He wants to meet Zahra soon.

*******

At half-five o'clock in the afternoon Ega came out of his office. He rushed to the basement where he parked his car. At moderate speed he drove his car splitting the traffic jam in Malang city.

About fifteen minutes drive he finally arrived in front of Zahra's house. He parked his car in a house that is quite spacious. But he didn't come down immediately. He hesitates to meet Zahra when he remembers their last meeting a few days ago.

From the exit of the middle-aged man who was none other than Father Zahra. The man sat on the wooden chair on the porch of the house, watching Ega's car. Finally, Ega ventured to get down.

"Assalamualaikum, Om," said Ega as soon as he arrived in front of Zahra's father and extended his hand to shake his hand.

"Waalaikumsalam, son." replied the father received Ega's hand to shake his hand. He kissed the middle-aged man's hand.

"Zahra is there, Om?" ega asked a little hesitantly and it was obvious in the eyes of Zahra's father.

"There's inside. Sit down here, Ega boy," take the father.

Nervously Ega sat beside the father of his heart. He felt that he was no longer allowed to meet Zahra. In his mind he would definitely be expelled any minute.

Ega knows very well. Zahra's father loved the girl very much. Although the father and son rarely met, but the affection of the father to his son is very large.

"Ega would like to apologize the same, Om," said Ega before Zahra's father spoke.

Zahra's father smiled looking at Ega. Which is seen back nervous.

"Why apologize to me?" ask the middle-aged man.

"I'm sorry, Om, for what I did to Zahra a few years ago." Ega looked down, hiding his face. He was very embarrassed to meet Zahra's father at this time.

"It's not entirely your fault, son. I'm a little guilty too."

Ega watched Zahra's father wait for the continuation of his words.

"From childhood my two children were indeed lacking the affection of a father. I rarely accompany them. I realize they need a father figure, need a protective figure in their infancy," Zahra's father said looking far ahead.

"Zahra feels like he's found a protective figure on you, son. Until finally he felt devastated when you left him at that time. There I also felt like I was failing to be a father to both of my children."

Ega noticed and digested what Zahra's father said.

Zahra's father turned to Ega to notice the change that had happened to the man.

"I just want my son to be happy. Whatever I'll do for him. I know there is something unfinished between you. Finish it soon, son. Give me back the smile of my long lost son."

The deg!

Ega was struck by Zahra's father's words. He could not answer the words that the old man had spoken.

"I'll try, Om. Let me mend our relationship." Those words finally came out of Ega's lips.

"What is Om serious? Zahra's going with Om?"

"I've never been this serious about talking to you, son. If you really love him. Make him stay here. Show him that you can make my son happy. Because I know. He's just his emotions and his mind is in a mess."

"Lohs. There's a guest, why don't you tell Mommy?" ask the mother who came out of the house to bring warm tea for her husband. Ega stood up to greet the mother.

"Before, Auntie call Zahra first," said mother passed back into the rash.

"Let's just go inside, soon azan maghrib," asked Zahra's father.

Two men of different ages entered the house. Dad put his tea cup on the living room table.

From the direction of the middle room mom brought a tray containing warm tea for Ega. Behind the mother there is Zahra who looks still not ready to go.

"Om, I want permission, if I may want to take Zahra out for a while," said Ega carefully.

Zahra silently watched the interaction of the two.

"Please Zahra's origin. My message, take care of him" replied the father.

"It is better before you go to Maghrib prayer first here," he continued.

"Yes, Om."

They performed the Maghrib prayer service in the mosque of Zahra's house. In his heart Ega felt the peace as well as the immense relief of being among this little family.

He was grateful that both of Zahra's parents were still willing to take him back very well. Even they openly support his relationship with Zahra. Give him a chance to correct past mistakes.

Finish salat maghrib. Ega is waiting for Zahra in the living room.

Zahra said goodbye to get ready. While the father and mother say goodbye to visit the house of Satya, Zahra's cousin.

In his room Zahra was polishing his face. He slightly put on his face so as not to be too pale. Not pale from pain. These days he looks like a zombie because he does not pay attention to his appearance.

He wore a thin powder, a bit of eyeliner and mascara. With that simple makeup now she looks fresher than ever. Last time he put liptin on his lips.

After he felt everything was right. The girl immediately came down to Ega who was waiting for her.

In the middle room there is Efelin who is watching tv. Zahra said goodbye to her sister before leaving.

"Udah" said Zahra, who was standing some distance away from Ega, who was playing his phone.

Ega smiled at Zahra. Watching appearance. The girl now looks more beautiful and mature than six years ago.
