18. Dumb and Dumber

12.30 PM. TJ Group Office's.

The two pairs of gender-different humans walked hand in hand into the main office of The Jung Group with their hands clasping each other.

Walking while occasionally throwing jokes that make the corners of the lips both lifted wide.

Make some of the officers around notice them. Edmund, who was walking behind them, kept watching the two.

It looks so friendly and strange for anyone to see it. Friendly because they look happy. Then strange because for the first time the CEO of this company mingled with a man who allegedly was his lover.

Because before all the people who work at The Jung Group knew the rumors that Laurine always rejected the man who approached her.

Moreover, the man who is currently together with Laurine is not a man who is so well known in their business circles.

Right after Laurine and Xavier followed Edmund in the back who entered the elevator and started to drift out of sight, whispers of conversation began to be heard.

"Who is that guy? Which company's president?"

"I had thought that President Laurine Jung was a lesbian for always rejecting the man who approached her all this time"

"Which man is the president of the company?"

"I think if you look at his stature and his face, he's a model. Maybe"

"They fit in perfectly. One is beautiful and one is handsome"

"Is it possible that the man is the father of the President's son?"

"Isn't the boy just a vague rumor?"

"But rumors are facts that are delayed to be acknowledged by the person concerned"

"You're right. I'm so curious about what that kid looks like right now"

"Did they fuck for three whole days until their necks were like that?"

Meanwhile, the elevators have delivered Xavier, Laurine, and Edmund to the top floor.

Then proceed towards a large private room of the company leader.

Xavier and Laurine face each other and smile.

"Happy work, my love" said Xavier, stroking the top of Laurine's head fondly.

Laurine nodded. "Thank you, my beloved"

"Don't work too hard. You need to stay healthy. Eat regularly, stop when you're tired, and call me if anything happens"

Then Laurine chuckled softly. "You're so chatty"

Xavier's view turned to Edmund. Those warm eyes turned sharp. "Jaga Laurine is good. If something bad happens to him, then you're the first one I finish" he said and Edmund could only nod obediently.

"Don't worry. Mr. Lee has always tried hard to protect me" said Laurine.

Xavier nodded his head and looked back at Laurine. Smiled before finally giving a brief peck on the woman's forehead.

"I'll go first. I'll drive you home later that night. Don't go home before I pick you up" Xavier said, and Laurine nodded.

Slowly their grasp slipped off with a heavy heart feeling. Xavier set foot back to go from there with Laurine watching until the man disappeared from sight.

"He looks like a monster from the outside, but he's actually a prince isn't he?" laurynine asked Edmund to speak.

"He acts like a prince to you only. Because to others, he was still a monster" Edmund laughed back slowly followed by Laurine who also laughed.

"You're lucky to have it"

Lauren nodded in agreement without hesitation. "After a series of sins I have committed, he still chooses to forgive me. I'm lucky to have it"

13:02 PM. The Black Clan Headquarters.

Noah almost spouted the freshly gulped water. Made quite surprised to see Xavier with all the strange conditions of his best friend's child.

The look on his face was radiant. It felt like Noah wanted anyone to pinch or even slap him to wake him up from this dream.

But on the other hand anyone please be aware of Noah if what he just saw from xavier figure is indeed the reality.

While Xavier ignored Noah's gaze by continuing to step foot while humming ria. Then sit in the main seat.

"Have the sun risen from the west? Or are only signs of the end times already emerging? If so, then I will repent right now" the middle-aged man muttered flabbergasted.

Xavier grinned and then chuckled softly. "You mean, Uncle?"

"Your mood is the most confusing thing in the world. Your mind path is like a mystery that is hard to solve. You used to look like a demon ready to welcome humans to hell, but why do you look like a winged angel who just came down from the sky?" seloroh Noah and Xavier just nodded their heads.

"I taught you to walk and helped your father raise you. So, I know you very well and can tell which mask of happiness you wear to cover your grief and which mask of happiness is real"

"Then?" xavier asked, frowning his brows.

"This is true happiness. I guess, the lioness that bit on your neck is the reason" Noah glanced at a hint of redness peering slightly off Xavier's black shirt.

Xavier nodded in response. "The beautiful lioness who managed to make me crazy about it"

Noah breathed slowly. "And you're a crazy, stupid male lion" he said softly inaudible.

"Did you say something?"

Noah quickly shook his head. "Forget"

"Live to the main point. What's the explanation of the problem you were referring to on the phone?" xavier asked advancing his body and started a serious conversation about the Black Clan's organization.

"They've been following your orders to make a scene in some of Dominic's discotheque business. But at the same time Dominic also acted again. This time he burned your arsenal. Severe enough to make the warehouse explode and scorch all the weapons inside. Two guards who were on duty there were also victims"

Xavier gritted his teeth after hearing Noah's words about Dominic the enemy who seemed endless looking for trouble on him.

"Didn't you think it was too much? We have to finish him off soon or another mess will happen again. I can eliminate it right now with your orders"

Then Xavier shook his head with a glaring mind and a straight look ahead. "I'd really like to eliminate him, too, but I can't"

"Laurine again?! Because of that woman again?! You're like this because of her again?!" shouted Noah.

"Are you crazy or what?! Dominic is a crazy psychopath who could kill us all if we just sit around like a stupid inanimate object! Are you gonna shut up to see Dominic shoot you and the people around you?! Answer me!"

Now Noah is standing and clutching the collar of Xavier's shirt quite tightly. While Xavier was still silent with his sharp gaze.

Noah smiled cynically. "Ah, I think I'm wrong to ask. Would you just shut up if Dominic was gonna stab your Laurine in the heart?!"

"Before he kills Laurine, I'll kill her first!"

Slowly Marcus' grip slipped and a loud laugh rang out. "You're always thinking about Laurine, but always ignoring the people around you who have always been there for you! Henry as your father, Marcus as your best friend, myself as your uncle, and hundreds of others as your men! You'll let us all die, but you won't let the woman***** it's dead!"

Hearing the final sequence of Noah's sentence managed to get Xavier's emotions ignited. Quickly a violent punch was about to land perfectly on Noah's right cheek, but it was not so because Xavier finally just floated in the air. Then Noah just looked sharply at Xavier.

"See what you said, Uncle!" snapped Xavier with a clenched hand.

"Lucky you're the one closest to me. Because if someone else said it, I've made sure that person won't live in the world anymore!" xavier said, then he began to step out of the room.

"Xavier.." call Noah slowly.

Then Xavier stopped his steps without looking back.

"I know you love her very much. I admit your love story has also been through so many complicated things. But, on the other hand you also have to be able to accept the facts. A fact if by staying beside him will only invite other dangers. You're not good to be together. You may feel what you feel, but you must not forget logic. Please always remember what I said"

"Urus is your own business. Uncle!" hiss Xavier then resumed his steps away from there leaving Noah.
