16. After Longing

09:55 PM. The Jung Manor House's.

When Laurine again set foot in the house with of course delivered safely by Xavier, Edmund followed by other workers such as servants and bodyguards were lined up neatly to welcome him.

They all bowed respectfully. Not to forget there is also Anthony there to welcome the arrival of Laurine. Stand up straight while throwing a fake smile. Laurine is something Anthony did not expect.

Laurine's steps came to a halt when Edmund suddenly prostrated himself on her.

"I'm sorry, Miss. I'm mistaken. I'm not so good at looking after you that the bad guys kidnapped you. Please forgive me, miss" said Edmund softly.

Laurine held onto Edmund's shoulders to stand up while smiling. "It's okay, Mr. Lee. You've been trying to protect me so well"

Then Lauren's eyes narrowed toward the wounds on Edmund's face. "Look. Your wounds are proof of your efforts to protect me. Even if you still can't protect me in the end because the power of ordinary people like us isn't worth that crazy person"

Edmund nodded slowly then turned to look at Xavier who was beside Laurine. "Thank you for helping Miss Laurine. I owe you a lot"

Xavier nodded with an indifferent look on his face. "Repair the way you and your men work. Lucky Laurine survived. Because if you don't, you'll be consumed by my rampage" he said sharply.

The bodyguards and servants who were around lowered their heads in fear after hearing the words containing the tone of Xavier's threat earlier.

Then Laurine walked back and Xavier still followed Xavier from behind.

"Finally you're home too, son" said Anthony smiling sweetly as he confronted Laureine.

The old man momentarily looked at Xavier and floated a smile before finally looking back at the friendly Laurine. Anthony the rotten.

"I heard Uncle has prepared my funeral as best he can. Even contacting the chairman of the Board of Directors to immediately appoint you as President Director as my successor. That enthusiasm was you when you found out your niece was in danger, Uncle?"

There is sadness hidden from the sharp throws of Laurine's words. The woman's heart feels claustrophobic every time she remembers if her own relatives had malicious intentions on her.

Then Anthony laughed trying to warm the atmosphere that looks so cold. A little afraid Xavier will do something dangerous because of his mistreatment of Laurine.

"What do you mean, Laurine? Uncle couldn't be-"

"Enough, Uncle" Laurine said. "sorry. But, now I'll be more strict with you. From tomorrow you won't be working for TJ Group anymore. I fired you. Do not argue or do any rebellion" continued Laurine straightforwardly and continue his footsteps that have now climbed the stairs to his bedroom.

"What?! Lauren! Oye! You can't treat your own Uncle like this!" said Andrew was surprised while trying to equate his steps with Laurine.

Until then Anthony screeched as Xavier quickly pulled the collar of his shirt and pushed his body to the ladder railing pole.

Keep pressing until it makes his feet no longer tread to the floor and his body that almost fell. If Xavier had pushed a little more, maybe Anthony would have fallen free down there.

Edmund and the servants and guards down there were shocked at what Xavier was doing to Anthony.

While Laurine just looked blankly without any intention of stopping. Although the woman was actually afraid that Xavier would actually kill Anthony.

Xavier's firm grip on Anthony's neck loosened. This was done by Xavier because of Laurine's wishes. Immediately Anthony moved away and neutralized the heartbeat that had been so frightened.

"I mean not now, don't do it in this house, and not in front of me" Laurine said again which made Anthony instantly round his eyes in surprise.

Xavier nodded in understanding as he glanced at Anthony for a moment with a grin.

"You hear that?! There's no need to cancel the funeral for Laurine that you've prepared, because it's still useful to replace it to be your funeral!"

Then Xavier continued his steps following the steps of Laurine who was now walking towards entering the bedroom.

Leaving Anthony who was now still silent with a body trembling in fear.

Laurine put her body on the bed. While Xavier still followed him and now looks to pay attention to every corner of the bedroom room.

"Later when you're asleep" Xavier replied briefly with a glance still around and opened the window curtain to see the situation at the back of the manor house there.

Then Xavier nodded slowly in response.

Xavier's laughter sounded. " I'll tell them. But, I think thanking me is something that seems stiff. You're like to anybody"

Then Laurine nodded her head slowly while looking at Xavier blankly. "Indeed the reality is like that, Xavier. Who are you to me? And who am I to you?"

"We? A pair of people who love each other, but not approved of the universe" Xavier said softly and his hand on Laurine slowly loosened.

Lauren smiled bitterly. "I guess being made a distance is already excruciatingly ill. However, it turns out that being met with bad circumstances like this is the champion"

"If meeting me again makes you feel burdened, do I have to stay away from you again?" Xavier asked and Laurine immediately shook her head slowly as she switched to clutching Xavier's hands tightly.

Then Laurine nodded slowly.

"For what you did to Helena, I don't really care. But for what you did to that fetus, I was angry, but I chose to forgive him. Hating you will not bring his life back. So, we better live together without falling apart because of things that have happened in the past and focus on the future"

"Does this mean you're accepting my friend's invitation from me?"

Xavier shook his head and made Laurine confused by him again.

"There is no friendship in us. Cause I know what you really want is romance"

"W-what do you mean? I-I really want us to be friends" said Laurine, unable to hide her nervousness from Xavier's words that seemed to be able to guess his heart.

"Don't act like we're 5-year-olds who only know how to play with friends. Your age and I have both stepped on 28 years and the status that suits us is a pair of lovers. Or even a husband and wife, maybe"

"What are you saying, anyway?!" the woman grabbed Xavier's hand and looked the other way trying to avoid Xavier's gaze.

Xavier's soft laugh sounded as if mocking Laurine who now seemed to be embarrassed.

"Let's get back together with me as a couple" Xavier said, and Laurine again poked up with round eyes.

"So, is this how you take your ex-lover back together? Just like this?! Not very romantic!" grunt Laurine grunting.

"Why? Do you want me to rent a garden as lavishly decorated as I used to? Come onl. At that time we were teenagers and things like that were childish. Now each of us is an adult. Something simple is better. The most important thing is his heart"

Laurine was speechless with a bent face as if annoyed at Xavier.

"Well, if you don't want to!" reply Xavier wants to look upset as well while scaling his chest while looking the other way.

But, the unexpected happened. A brief kiss landed on Xavier's cheek so quickly.

"Yes, Xavier. I want to be your lover again" said Laurine straightforwardly with a big smile.

Xavier smiled and kissed Laurine as briefly as before. Just as Xavier was about to move back away from her body, Laurine held back her nape and kissed back.

In the end they kissed each other so deeply. Both Laurine and Xavier kiss each other on the lips. Without letting go of the kiss, the bodies of the two fell on the bed with Laurine at the bottom and Xavier at the top.

They continued to share a warm kiss with a passion that began to be provoked. For them, the current atmosphere feels hot and encourages them to be more intimate. It looks like it will be a long and happy night for them to vent their stifled longing for the past 7 years.

"Laurine!"

"Xavier!"

The release that came together and shouted each other's names had just been heard from the mouths of two people of different gender. Xavier's body fell on Laurine's body. Both breaths were breathing heavily. Sweat also floods almost the entire body.

For a moment they just hugged each other in such a position without letting go of the unification down there. Rest for a few minutes before resuming this possibly endless activity.

Laurine returned Xavier's warm smile. Both of Laurine's hands stretched out rubbing Xavier's handsome face which was now filled with sweat.

"Of course" said Laurine to answer Xavier's words.

Then Xavier chuckled softly and followed by Laurine who was also laughing. Both brains are still foggy of desire. So the next thing they did was to put the lips together again. While continuing to make out, their position slowly changed from the previous position. Xavier lay on his back and guided Laurine to sit on his lap.

Laurine is taking over. Doing something like Xavier did to her a few minutes ago. At first touch and kiss Xavier's body. Until finally Laurine re-unites and moves on. It was only slow at first, but slowly it became faster and more uncontrollable.

Do not forget also the echo they had heard earlier. Take turns kissing, touching a limb or moving intimate parts to give each other warmth.
