Descendants of Ryu

Gentayu waited for the elder to moustache in the middle of the courtyard, where many of the sect disciples were practicing physical exercises and some were meditating. Shortly after, the mustachioed elder came in with a jump and did a flip in the air before landing not far from him. The white-bearded elder accompanied Matriarch Lim just standing in front of the meeting hall, on the top rung of the stairs to watch the action of two people who were facing in the middle of the courtyard.

“Gentayu, disciple of the Golden Sun Swordsman, please hint!” Gentayu cupped both hands in front of his chest with his body slightly bent in salute.

“De Wu, Pendekar Tapak Layu, will not hesitate! Get ready, young man!” The mustachioed elder replied to Gentayu's reverence with his right hand clenched and his left half-open hand held together in front of his chest, calling himself the Swordsman of Layu's Tread.

The two immediately took the stance of the Horses. Gentayu prepared to welcome the attack from De Wu by deploying his Fire Dragon Shield stance. He did not want to attack, because he only wanted to prove the truth of the story defeating the enemy who injured the late elder Shou. That'sthat's all. Injuring moreover to kill the sect's magic swordsman would obviously benefit the black flow group. Gentayu certainly wouldn't do that.

Then the loud explosion sound was stopped..

The owner of the tread attack, De Wu the Pendekar Tapak Layu bounced into the air and fell violently hit the hard ground on the edge of the courtyard. His entire attack was indeed not avoided or fended off by Gentayu. The young man just let all of the elder's attacks hit his body. The result was precisely beyond the expectations of elder De Wu. His entire attack seemed to turn towards him and overturn him without having been anticipated.

The elder got up while holding his chest which seemed to hurt. From the edge of his mouth seeped out fresh blood. The elder was so surprised. Even Gentayu knocked it down without moving a single bit.

“You.. You. how.. The science.” Elder De Wu's eyes shone in his shock at something. He seemed to recognize the science used by Gentayu. The Science of the Fire Dragon Shield, part of the Fire Dragon Steps that Gentayu obtained through Ryu.

“Sorry, elder. Does the elder recognize the style I used earlier?” Gentayu was enthusiastic to see the astonishment of elder Wu.

The one asked did not answer. He closed both his legs. “Ryutaro? Your Grandpa Buyut?” Gentayu repeated the name Ryutaro, as if in disbelief the originally arrogant elder called Ryu his Grandpa.

“Iya, right. As I recall, in our family's story, it was only the youth who managed to obtain the Fire Dragon Sword that supposedly also stored a high level of swordsmanship and canoecraft. The sword is a legendary sword because its owner was even able to rule the martial world for hundreds of years. Then the sword disappeared along with the disappearance of the Fire Dragon Swordsman. Two hundred years later, my late great-grandfather found the sword in an accident in the forest of death. Thanks to that sword, Grandpa Buyutku became a very strong swordsman until he was appointed as the commander of the Hidama empire. Unfortunately, he has not yet perfected his knowledge. “Ehem! All right, Miss Lim. I don't mind about that. So, how do you evacuate all sect members as quickly as possible? Do you have another exit? Thank goodness it was a secret door.” Gentayu broke the ice by discussing the plan to evacuate the sect members.

“Iya, we have the fastest way!” Matriarch Lim nodded along with the other two elders.

“We begin to evacuate all students, starting from the weakest. We and some elders and senior disciples will be the last ones to evacuate. Just in case the enemy comes early!” he added again as well as giving orders to the two elders before him. The two elders immediately got up and headed out towards the room, leaving Gentayu and matriarch Lim in the room.

"Chairman Wu, we'll talk again after this business is over!" Gentayu said to elder De Wu before the man disappeared from his sight and darted towards a complex of buildings within the sect.
