Gentayu looked up at the sky.
His pupils shrank as he inadvertently realized that the sky above his head was not the real sky.
‘Illus creatures?’ Gentayu then stopped walking and tried to look more carefully at every inch of the sky above his head which seemed to not allow the earth to have a shadow.
Finally Gentayu found the fact that something very big is overshadowing this place, as well as creating the illusion as if the sky above the head as something normal and natural.
‘It seems, the animals are afraid to be here because they realize, this valley is shaded by this mysterious creature.’ Gentayu finally concluded, it is not a wise step to tease any creature in this place.
He was just about to step away because he didn't want to have any trouble, but before he actually left, something snared his left leg and tied him tightly. Then pull it very quickly towards the edge of the overdraft. Something in the form of root tendrils has taken control of his left leg, trying to knock him down.
Gentayu tries to keep his balance so as not to fall and be dragged. In fact, due to the strong impact of the root tendril that is now twisting his legs, Gentayu's body finally fell to the ground and was dragged quickly.
Reflexively, Gentayu immediately turned into a fireman once again.
It worked!
The root tendrils just let go of the wood, then disappear somewhere.
Seeing his efforts succeed, Gentayu immediately stood up.
But, again, his right leg was entangled with another root vine. As if not wanting to let Gentayu go just like that.
When Gentayu turned once again into a fireman, the tendril who seemed to have intelligence immediately removed his grip on Gentayu's ankle. But, from the other direction, strange tendrils appeared and wrapped around his body.
Unlike his legs which were snared by wood root tendrils, the tendrils that now ensnare Gentayu's body look shiny. This is not wood or root. It's metal. The tendrils are made of metal that cannot be scorched by fire from Gentayu's body.
Even it seems, the metal tendril that is no less elastic has electrical energy with it.
Whenever Gentayu was about to turn into a fireman, the tendril would sting him, thwarting Gentayu's efforts. Many times Gentayu felt an electric shock in his body from the metal tendrils.
“Aaaaaaark….!! Freelance... right!!” Gentayu. Roaring while struggling, trying to break away. Yet futile.
Gentayu continued to thrash, yet this time he no longer dared to turn into a fireman. Because every time he turned into a fireman, the tendrils that wrapped around him would send out electrical energy that jolted and rendered him powerless.
Sweat began to pour in Gentayu's body due to his action to escape never succeeded. His body starts to limp. The energy starts to drain. Without the sun, Gentayu would easily lose its energy.
That critical moment, Gentayu's eyes widened.
His sweat coming into contact with the crystal tendrils caused something to happen. Something impossible to think would happen if Gentayu did not have observant eyes.
‘What the fuck is this?’ Gentayu still did not believe his eyes.
He doesn't trust his wild thoughts right now. All you have to do is prove it.
His eyes immediately searched for something on one side of the edge of the overdraft where he was about to be dragged before.
Meet me!
A symbol is seen on the edge of the broad overdraft. A calligraphic symbol of name!
It's not wrong anymore. Gentayu's eyes sparkled knowing his guess turned out to be true.
‘Heh, it turns out there is something like this here?’
Gentayu immediately ordered the gate of the lakefront world to open and let the lake water flow out through the wagon bracelet. And..
‘Byur!!’
The gales of water destroyed everything that passed through it. Including metal tendrils, trees, grasses, even the overdraft itself. Turn it into a colorful liquid.
And a second later, a dazzling bright beam of eyes appeared and threw Gentayu into a stone wall.
“Hah! You...who are you, young man?! You ruined my painting?!” a man's cry sounded angry.
He was a bald and skinny old man. With a paintbrush in his hand, he described himself as a painting artist.
Not only that, a strange aura also emanated from the old man's body.
The calligraphy mark that Gentayu found in the corner of the overdraft is a line of names “Manik Baya”. It was the identity that a painting artist should normally leave behind in his work.
And, it seems that the man named Manik Baya is steeped in painting as a way of bathing.
In other words, this bald old man was a man who pursued painting as a weapon, a skill, as well as his strength.
The illusion trap of Manik Baya painting, may not be revealed if Gentayu does not pay attention to his surroundings with jelly. So far, his talent and experience as a teliksandi has managed to save him.
Instantly, after the man's shrill voice sounded, the world around Gentayu changed once again.
