The Tempirai Hill Mystery

The next morning, Genatayu woke up and cleaned himself up. At the back of the house there is a very cool and clear spring water. Very refreshing so early for Gentayu can bathe from the spring.

From the kitchen, there is a delicious aroma of cooking. It was seen that a woman of the same age as healer Mo came out to prepare breakfast. This woman was all night invisible when she came to this place. Could it be the wife of physician Mo? Meanwhile, in the herb garden on the grounds behind his house, healer Mo was busy picking some medicinal herbs. It looks like he picked the medicinal plant for the treatment of his best friend's wounds that until now have not been conscious from his sleep after last night receiving treatment until he fainted. Gentayu then took the time to see the condition of elder Shou who looked more stable than when he was first brought to this place last night.

“Oh, you're awake, young man. Please enjoy. This is the only breakfast we have.” The old woman invited Gentayu to have breakfast first while continuing her activities in the kitchen. According to Mrs Mo, her husband would be a bit late to join the breakfast because there are some medicinal plants that must be taken at the top of the hill at the end of this village.

In honor of the host, Gentayu immediately took a piece of boiled sweet potato which was eaten along with the chili sauce from green chili and some other ingredients. Finished devouring the sweet potato, Gentayu immediately asked permission for the woman to follow healer Mo. Gentayu thought, joining a healer in collecting medicinal ingredients would be useful for him in the future.

By the time he came out, physician Mo was already preparing to leave the area of his herb garden. A small basket containing various plants that had been picked was left near the door leading out of the yard. Usually his wife would pick it up after he got out of the fence. While another basket made of woven bamboo with a strap slung hanging on his shoulder.

“Good morning Mr. Physician, please allow me to accompany Mr. physician” Gentayu to pay his respects when greeting the old healer.

“I hope you've had breakfast, young man. Our journey will be a little long. It is likely that at noon we will just go home.” the healer allows Gentayu to accompany him.

“Thanks, sir healer.”

The two then walked away from the courtyard belonging to physician Mo towards a hill at the end of the Village. This region was actually still a part of Sei Asin City. However, the place where the healer Mo lived was closer to the forest and the hilly region so it was more suitable to be called a village than to be called part of a city.

After walking for a while, the two finally entered the forest area that became part of the Tempirai foothills, thus the name of the hill.

“You're Gentayu, right? This forest is an ancient forest. The community considers it a sacred forest. The only thing that is amazing about this forest is the many rare medicinal plants that abound here. Not everyone dares to enter this forest actually.” Physician Mo explained the condition of the forest.

According to the explanation of physician Mo, this forest was saved by residents because of a mysterious incident and never managed to be revealed. In the past, several hundred years ago, the inhabitants were terrorized by the appearance of a giant ape with great power. This giant ape is believed to be the mastermind behind the disappearance of many forest animals, as well as domesticated animals and livestock owners and some other residents.

Then came a magic swordsman who managed to defeat the monkey. But apparently, the monkey is not the perpetrator of terror against the people around this forest. The perpetrators of terror in the forest have not been revealed to this day, while the victims continue to fall.

“Then, doesn't that mean this forest is dangerous, sir healer?” Gentayu asked to clarify the meaning of the story of physician Mo.

“Kot more so. But the insecurity of this forest is also a blessing for healers like me because with not much touched make this forest rich in rare plants.” Physician Mo confirmed Gentayu's speech.

Their destination was the top of a hill in the middle of the forest. They did not take any crops in the forest because almost all medicinal plants had been planted in the grounds of the Mo healer's house. The forest itself was not very large, so not long later they finally arrived at the ridge.

“Why do we stop, sir?” Gentayu questioned the healer who suddenly stopped stepping and put on a vigilant attitude.

At the point appointed healer Mo, initially Gentayu did not see and realized anything. But as he narrowed his eyes and focused, he vaguely saw the unusual movement of the wind. Something similar to the wind is not the wind, but a creature that somehow in a transparent form moves between the tops of trees. The movement between the shoots of the tree is what looks as if there is a wind blowing due to its transparent form.

It seems that the creature was aware of the arrival of Gentayu and healer Mo at the place.

“Master Mo, have you met the creature before?” Gentayu asked in a whisper.

“Should have been, the creature was not here.” healer Mo replied in a whisper as well

“What does it mean?” Gentayu did not understand

“The creature...” had not had time for healer Mo to finish his sentence, the two hands of the transparent creature had suddenly gripped the body of both.

His movements were unusually fast for such a gigantic-sized creature. Even neither Gentayu nor healer Mo saw the creature moving closer before their bodies were in the grip of the mysterious creature.

“AAAAAGHHHH........!!!” Gentayu and healer Mo both felt their bodies being squeezed by the creature's fingers. The more they tried to resist, the stronger the grip became.

‘I have to do something or we both die here’ Gentayu immediately racked his brain to find a way out of this difficult situation. While on the other hand, physician Mo looked increasingly difficult to breathe. His face began to pale. It seemed, the old man had already reached his limit.

Gentayu immediately concentrated his concentration on maintaining his consciousness. Then try to collect all his inner energy which immediately converted into heat energy with the style of ‘Riak Matahari’. Soon the heat shimmered out of Gentayu's body. The longer it gets hotter, until finally the creature releases its grip from Gentayu's body. As soon as the creature's hand clutches were released, its body immediately plunged free..

‘Gusrak! Gusrak!’

Gentayu's body hit the branches of a tree that is quite high. Apparently the creature was carrying his body and healer Mo floated among the tall trees on the hill.

‘BUGH!!

The sound of a heavy enough object falling from a height sounded loud. Of course it was the sound of a wooden body falling on the ground after its body had previously slid into the branches of a tree above it.

Gentayu immediately rose without caring about the pain of freefall from that quite terrible height. His eyes circulated around him looking for the existence of the creature with healer Mo who was still in his grasp. However the creature had disappeared as quickly as its arrival when it attacked them a moment ago.
