Season 2 #Chapter 8

This morning the air on the beach is fresh. Because the sun is still shy - shame appears on the eastern horizon. The five boys, on the grounds of going for the road as well as sports, walked towards the cliff. On every road they go, when they cross paths with people, they will surely greet each other.

" Di, who are these bule boys?" Ask one of Didi's friends.

" They're my friends from town!" Answer Didi.

" Where are you going?" Ask again.

" Want to walk, walk around the beach," Didi smiled showing his rabbit teeth.

" I wanted to swim in the sea," 

" Yes, when - when again, we'll swim together." 

" I'll go first!" His friend Didi left them.

    The five children continued their journey. It turned out to be quite far from Danang house to the cliff where the ghost house was located. They should walk for about fifteen minutes.

     Finally the five of them had reached the top of the cliff. The ghost house is quite large. The house model is European style Dutch era. 

     The house was also surrounded by a high iron fence. It might be about two meters in height. The vast courtyard was filled with weeds that had grown tall. There were mango trees, pomegranate trees and guava trees planted near the iron fence. The branches protrude out of the fence. Near the gate it used to be planted by a creeping tree. Because there is an iron cage standing on the right and left side of the front of the gate.

" How did we get in?" Didi asked the three twins.

" Why are we here?" Asked the Star while tightening his handhold on Space.

" Want to pluck mangoes with guava!" Javan Didi's.

" Hey, we can't just pick fruit at someone else's house. Moreover, this has no home," said Bintang while widening his eyes on his twin brother.

" I'm just curious about the contents of the haunted house." Space Words.

" No, Brother Star. We're just here to see a crystal ball, which will emit a colorful glow when exposed to sunlight." Dodo.

" Where is such a crystal ball!" The stars don't believe.

" We want to see it!" Space Saying.

" How do you know about that crystal ball?" Ask the stars again.

" It was noon, and sunlight came into one of the windows in the house. And as for the crystal ball, it will be a bright color in the room." Answer Didi.

" Let's go in now!" Take Didi.

" Where do we enter?" Ask Sky. Because the gate is locked.

" We're through here!" Dodo.

    It turns out that there is a section of the iron fence that has been damaged and can be entered by the bodies of children. Didi first go inside. Then followed by the others. It turned out that in the front garden of the house there was a set of tables and chairs lying down, probably blown by the wind and rain. They kept entering the page. And until they came to the front of a tall glass window, a two-leaved door.

" In this room, the crystal ball is." Didi said as she pointed into that window.

" Because it's still morning, so the light of the sun hasn't come in!" Didi.

" So we're gonna wait till noon here?" Ask the Star while looking at her face on the window.

" In fact, I can open this window, if you want to go inside!" Didi.

" I want to look inside!" Sky Words.

" I want to go inside too." Space Words.

" The stars don't come!" Reject Star.

" Yes, you just wait here." Didi said with a smile.

     Seeing Didi's smile, the stars became goosebumps made. Seen around him, a very wide, quiet yard no one - who. There are only animal sounds.

     Then Didi poked the lock of the window slot, using a thin wire. And the glass window was open. They enter one by one. The room they entered was the family room. It can be seen from a set of lounge chairs, a minimalist sideboard cabinet and there is a television on it. A small bookcase filled with reading books. Carpet placed in the middle of the room in front of the chair.

" Where's that crystal ball you mean?" Ask Space.

" Now!" Answer Didi who stands near a medium-sized ornamental table lined with antique objects. 

     And there's the crystal ball Didi meant there. It turns out there are other decorations that form world-famous buildings. Such as Borobudur temple, Prambanan temple, Eiffel tower, Pisa tower, statue of liberty, clock tower of Big Ben, and there are several other miniature world famous buildings.

" Hey, you see there's a picture of his family too!" Said Dodo who stood a bit away from the window.

" Where?" The three twin boys were curious to look towards Dodo.

    The four men approached where Dodo was standing. And when they get there and see a pretty big picture.

" Yahoo!!!"

" Of Erlangga….!"

" Where is it!!!"

    The Kancil trio shouted at the same time as they saw one of their Om-like faces, Erlangga. The three boys immediately shivered.

" What? Wh who? Which one?" Didi became curious when he saw the reaction of the three Caucasian children.

The Trio Kancil pointed to one of the people in the family picture.

" Who does he look like?" Dodo asked as he observed the face of a handsome young man who was smiling brightly.

" He looks like Om Erlangga. Our mother's sister." Answer Space.

" Hey, not that Grandpa ever said. If Om Erlangga looks like Grandpa Yusuf, huh?!" Sky Speech.

    The three twin brothers looked at each other.

" Or not - this is not the house Grandpa Joseph used to be!" The word Angkasa, is exactly the same as what the other twin brothers thought.

" So this man's name is Joseph, your grandfather?" Ask Didi.

" It's possible. Because Grandpa Ja'far used to tell me that Grandpa Yusuf lost his memory and he didn't know who he was." Said the Sky while observing that Erlangga-like face.

" Yes could be. Because this house has been uninhabited for decades." Didi.

" Where are the other families?" Ask Dodo.

The four children went silent again. They think. If Joseph disappeared and forgot who he was. Why his family isn't looking for him.

" We don't know. Because until Grandpa Joseph died, it was not known who his family was." Clear Stars.

" How about we ask the Father. Who owns this haunted house?!" Didi looked towards the Kancil Trio.
