CHAPTER 25

Fifteen years ago,

     Andi was fixing his car that broke down on the side of the road. There were no cars to call for help. Maybe because it was midnight and it was raining, so no one played or walked out of the house, but it was Sunday night.

     After more than an hour, a passing car approached him. He stopped the car to ask for help.

" Why, Sir ? " ask the man from the car.

" I'm sorry to ask for help. My car broke down, and I was in a hurry to get to the hospital. My mother-in-law went to the Hospital, and she asked me to go there to see her ", Andi explained the situation to the car owner.

" What hospital ? " ask the man again.

" Hospital of Hope" Andi replied.

" okay. Come up I will deliver ".

" Thank you", Andi was so happy to get a ride.

" My name is Andi, whose father's name is ? "

" Joseph" he answered with a smile.

     There was a great conversation between the two. The two people were instantly familiar. Actually while talking Andi noticed the car that was running behind him through the rearview mirror. He felt that the car behind him was following him all the time.

" Yusuf, you've been driving alone since ? " Andi suddenly asked.

" Well, why ? " 

" Aren't you, it's just nanya. Maybe you brought temen ? Or follow the same team ? It was already midnight added to the rain ", Andi still noticed the car behind which was still following him.

" Aren't you afraid of getting stuck in the middle of the road ? ", he added again.

Joseph just chuckled at what Andi was talking about.

" I surrender only to God" replied Joseph.

" Eh, can stop for a second there's a saturator. My mother-in-law likes satay" said Andi reasoned.

Andi was really curious about the car that followed him.

     Joseph's car was on the shoulder of the road near the saturator. Andi noticed the car that followed him stopped as well even though it was a bit far away from them.

    When Joseph's car returned, the car followed him again. Andi was convinced that they were being followed. But Andi kept quiet, and he became suspicious of Joseph. Who was Joseph and who was following their car.

     A week has passed since Andi met Joseph. Andi is preoccupied with his company, which is engaged in furniture goods that are starting to develop. Goods - goods produced by many consumers both at home and abroad.

     That afternoon he arrived a client, who would order goods in large quantities. I didn't think the two would meet again. Yusuf, who is building another two branches of Mega Department store, asked Andi company that designs shelves, tables, chairs, and others for needs in his future Dept store.

     From there, friendship between them began. They often meet, either their business affairs or their hobbies. Every time Andi met Joseph there was always someone following them. Andi also talked about this to Joseph. But Yusuf asked himself not to panic or do things that are considered suspicious, should be ordinary as if they do not know anyone is following.

     A week before the accident, Yusuf said he and his family were always terrorizing. Often there are events that almost hurt him. Joseph also told me he had amnesia. He doesn't remember who he was. In his life now he felt he had no enemies. Although there are rivals in the effort is still in a reasonable level - it is only natural. What he feared was the problem that now happened had something to do with his previous life.

     Andi also suggested reporting the matter to the police. So that there are parties who can protect themselves and their families. Joseph followed his advice.      As Yusuf was about to travel to Surabaya and Semarang to attend the opening of his new Mega Department Store branch, Andi asked Yusuf to cancel his departure. Just ask the assistant to leave. But Joseph didn't want to, because he had an appointment with someone there.

     And it is true that Joseph wanted to return from his journey. He was in an accident with his wife and driver. Yusuf was still conscious in the hospital, while his wife died at the scene. The driver fell into a coma and died a few days later.
