JUDITH

JUDITH
UNPREDICTABLY

Yudith and Andreas had no chance to chat because Yudith had to help take down the items that had just come. After receiving a deposit from Pakek Jaya and a phone call from his mother Andreas, Yudith only had time to say thank you.

And after the goods from the car were all removed, Brother Lius and Andreas left immediately.

Before the goods from his car Brother Lius were taken out, in the warehouse yard apparently had a lot of stuff piled up. Donation items from donors that must be recorded clearly and in detail first and then put into the warehouse-assisted by two men who usually work as gardeners and electricians.

While Yudith was busy taking notes, the school office attendant called her over to Sister Davince's errand.

Arriving at the office, it turned out that not only was Sister Davince waiting for her, but there was Sister Rosa as well. Yudith's heart immediately felt bad, so thought maybe he was called because of the problems in the dormitory.

After greeting and sitting in the living room of the office opposite the two influential sisters in the foundation, Yudith just bowed silently.

"Yudith, you moved into her dorm Sister Rosa would, right?"

"Huh?" Raising his face, Judith's eyes looked alternately at the two Sisters before her. "Sorry, Sister Davince. What did the nurse say?" Because of the noise of rain, Yudith was afraid of hearing wrong.

The two sisters chuckled lightly, then Sister Rosa said, "You didn't hear wrong. I want you to move to Orchid Dormitory. Looks like you're fit to live there."

Yudith was stunned, not supposed to live in a first-class dorm outside, and if that happened it was certain that the student had some potential needed.

However, Yudith did not feel that she had any potential so prominent that it made Sister Rosa want to recruit her. Meet in person and meet face to face also just earlier in the dormitory and in this office.

The girl wanted to ask, but not so because she thought, the decision that had been taken must have been through talks until the achievement of consensus. As a person who intends to serve, he is only obliged to obey and willing to be assigned anywhere.

Finally Yudith nodded. "I'm just dying, Sister," he said.

And that very night, after packing up, Yudith went to the area of S with Sister Rosa.

The goods paklek Jaya gave to Sister Vero and Ririsma, while the kleponnya they ate together until it ran out. Then he put his container on them to wash and store. If there is a chance it will be returned to Andreas.

The rain had stopped when Sister Rosa's car reached the gate of Orchid House, about eight o'clock. The car was parked in front of the house like the cars of the neighbors.

Orchid Dormitory is located in a fairly good residential complex in the S area. The building's front wall is dominated by glass, two concrete pillars supporting the terrace painted with light brown marble motifs, looking luxurious glossy.

"Come, Dith." Sister Rosa did not want to lose Yudith, after getting out of the car, she held the girl's hand very tightly. Even while standing in front of the gate, waiting for the door to open, his hand was not taken off.

A young woman in a nurse's uniform appears with a key boy obyokan on her right hand.

"Good night, Sus." He greeted Sister Rosa, but while opening the lock his eyes looked at Yudith. "Who is this, Sus?"

"Later acquaintance inside."

Yudith just gave a small nod to mince words and inexplicably, the girl felt the nurse's gaze of the clerk seeming unfriendly. The smile on his lips looked sinister as he looked at the bag of clothes that Yudith was carrying. Not to mention Yudith's feelings were already bad.

His heart grew increasingly uncomfortable as he sat in a room facing four senior nurse employees who looked at him, like intimidating.

"Yudith, meet me," Sister Rosa looked up at a short-haired, thick-browed clerk like a caterpillar, about thirty years old, "this is Bu Cici, the Housewife here."

While Bu Cici was staring expressionlessly as she crossed her arms, Yudith nodded politely, even her lips twitching with a faint smile.

"He's still in school, right, Sus? What are you gonna bring here?"

Yudith was quite surprised by the way Bu Cici spoke which seemed cold and disrespectful.

"Yes, stay here to."

In contrast to Ms. Cici, Sister Rosa's three-year-old way of speaking seemed very relaxed, even the smile did not fade from her thin lips and always looked wet.

The three nurse servants exchanged glances with widened eyes, while Bu Cici looked like he was about to explode because his face was frowning.

"Can't a student nurse just stay in an outdoor hostel, Sus?"

"There are no binding rules that prohibit, really. You may. Anyway I brought Yudith here with the permission of Sister Davince, not to kidnap her. Yes, you have taken care of Yudith sleeping in which room and hold whose administration. I'm gonna take a shower first." After that, Sister Rosa left.

After Sister Rosa's death, the four nurse clerks stared cynically at Yudith, to the extent that the girl felt like a defendant, not daring to raise her face.

Living in a new dormitory inhabited by nurse employees, with a very high level of seniority, Yudith had already felt a very heavy atmosphere since the beginning came.

Their unfriendly attitude and cold gaze, successfully made Yudith feel awkward and uncomfortable.

Yudith was indifferent and did not say much, but being in a new place whose presence was not even considered, her heart felt sad and lonely as well. Only Sister Rosa would be willing to interact with him. And if Sister Rosa wasn't in the dorm, she'd only be chatting with the children who were being raised in the dorm.

"Sorry, Ms. Cici ...." Sitting in the lounge, Yudith stared alternately between the books on his lap and the adult woman next to him.

The woman's gaze was extremely sharp as well as cold, making Yudith always feel intimidated

"Why, Dith?" His tone was heavy like a man.

"This .. sorry, why is this one week of observation not filled? The inventory records of any children's items that were not updated last month."

"Already, you just rock, yes. Don't be so stiff. You don't have to tear up." His way of speaking is very light impressed trivializing, also sarcastic.

Yudith knew that the administrative practices of the dormitory were sometimes chaotic. However, finding the fact that in the dormitory where the coordinator lived, the administrative control of the entire dormitory of the foundation complex, it turned out that the administration of his own dormitory was not right, was quite unexpected.

Are there no examinations at the end of each month, as Sister Rosa did at the compound?

Although tucked away in fear, but Yudith who felt that he did not accept such a thing happening, unconsciously looked closely at Bu Cici.

Yudith did not mean anything by his gaze, he just felt dislike for this fact. However, Ms. Cici as the Dorm Mother apparently felt that Yudith had acted too boldly.

"No need to look at me like that. I need to emphasize, in this dormitory all have to work together. Hands that work are not the mouth. The important thing is that the administration is in order when the coordinator comes to check."

Yudith could well capture the implicit intent in Bu Cici's words. Working together means that it must be able to cover each other's depravity. Working with the hands instead of the mouth was a warning that Yudith would not complain.

Yudith, who used to obey the rules, could not take it for granted. Without diminishing respect for the elder, he said, "Then, may I request a new book for all the administrative records of Neli and Aini. Starting tomorrow, I'll fill it up before school and every time after school. How, Miss Cici?"

"You want to look diligent in front of Sister Rosa, do you?" Bu Cici stared intently at the side of a sardonic slanted smile.

"Our work doesn't just deal with those books, Dith." The straight-haired woman appeared and spoke. The skin of this woman is pure white, the shoots of the nose and forehead appear shiny reddish.

"Clean dormitory, cook, purify, send school children, and many more activities in this dormitory. It should be that a student like you doesn't live in an outhouse. It's strange that Sister Rosa brought you to live here" he added in a cynical tone while leaning on the dining near the TV.

Yudith. She recalled Sister Vero's words, 'You must be careful because seniority is so felt in the dormitory that there are indeed more senior nurses. Try to be more flexible and can follow the rhythm of their work'.

Yudith let out a long sigh then said, "Sorry, Miss Cici. I just asked for a new book to start---"

"Ambar, Get. I'm lazy a lot of talk. Going to sleep." Ms. Cici left with a frowning face.

Without a word, Ms. Ambar stepped towards the sideboard cabinet which contained a pile of books and maps. Take a pack of new books and give them to Yudith.

"I understand, all your activities are judged. But, don't be too rigid and idealistic either, Dith. You don't have to be too subject to the terms."

Yudith did not return a word. He did everything not just for the sake of value, but it should all go according to the provisions. How can daily observations that should be recorded evaluation or conclusion every night, filled once a week? Just crazy. It must be free.

That night, Yudith woke up late because he had to make an observation format and a drug book record format, and others.

In this dormitory he has his own room with two special needs children who are the responsibility of the answer, Neli and Aini.

Staying in Orchid Dormitory for the rest of the holiday is very torturous because it must always face to face with faces that are not friendly at all times.

When the holiday was over, Yudith could breathe a little relief as the intensity of face-to-face contact with his hostages was reduced.

That morning, at seven o'clock after making the morning observation note and filling out the medicine book, Yudith left immediately without breakfast. Yudith could not wait to breathe fresh air outside the dormitory and most importantly, she would soon meet Sister Vero and Ririsma again.

The cold air in the morning plus the wind blowing hard enough to feel like a needle of ice piercing the skin, Yudith walked while hugging herself. He forgot to wear a jacket, wanted to go back to take, lazy to meet with the residents of the dormitory who seemed to have compact to silence himself.

There was still ten minutes before the foundation bus left, Yudith had to hurry if he did not want to get tired.

The streets of the residential complex where the Orchid Dormitory is located are very quiet. However, it is very beautiful because the entire iron fence of the residents' house, covered by vines that are deliberately planted so that it looks alive.

"Dith!"

The girl turned her head and immediately stopped when she saw Andreas running around, taking off the baseball jacket he was wearing.

"Cold, yes, no jacket." Without asking if Yudith wanted to or not, Andreas immediately closed his jacket to Yudith's shoulder. "Be careful. I'm leaving, friends are waiting."

As fast as it came, so fast as it went. Yudith could not even say a single word. It seemed that Andreas deliberately left because he did not want to give Yudith a chance to refuse. The girl was just fixated, even as Andreas' friends waved, she did not react.

"Thank you, An." Whispering as he wrapped his jacket around his neck, a faint smile fell on the corner of Yudith's lips.

Right after they passed leaving the area, a foundation bus in charge of picking up the children, came and stopped in front of the Orchid Dormitory. From inside the bus the nurses whispered to each other, looking alternately at Yudith and Andreas leaving.
