JUDITH

JUDITH
AN UNPLEASANT START

After getting a letter of duty from the principal, the second-grade students began to move in crowds to the dormitory where the child whose case had to be handled lived.

At eight o'clock in the evening, Yudith arrived at the House of Clouds, an officer named Yuliana escorted Yudith to one of the rooms. As soon as the door opened, Irene who was sitting in the corner of the bed reading a book had a moment to raise her gaze, then indifferently returned to pursue her book.

The officer exhaled a tired breath while shaking faintly. "That's Irene. There was another child sleeping here. Sleeping on the top bed. He's still studying in the back room. You get your stuff done first."

"Okay, Miss Yuli." The officer's status is a permanent employee and his age is around thirty years. So it is fitting that Judith call him ma'am.

"Irene, the acquaintance of Mrs Yudith, used to be" said Ms. Yuliana in a soft voice, but Irene was unmoved. The woman looked at Yudith, then said, "Patience, Deck."

"Okay, Miss Yuli."

Ms. Yuli smiled faintly. As the hostess, long before Judith came, she was told many things about Judith. After all, due to a pretty horrendous case in the last school year, which foundation employee did not know Yudith.

She knew exactly what kind of person the principal had chosen to approach Irene. She just hopes the results will be in accordance with expectations, so her duties as a boarding mother can be lighter.

"Irene, let's study outside join the others."

Irene was flinching again. He kept on searching his book. Even now his body was slightly leaning back against them. Seeing Irena's attitude, Yudith suddenly remembered herself. If you are busy reading then whatever happens around will not be easy to attract his attention.

Not wanting anything to happen on the first day of his arrival, Yudith said softly, "If it is still tolerable, let it be, ma'am."

Ms. Yuliana looked at Yudith fixedly and said, "OK. Whenever you can start. If there's a problem or you need help, just say it."

"Okay, Miss Yuli."

"Yes, already. I'll stay first."

Yudith nodded and slightly pulled over to make way for Bu Yuliana. After the woman died suddenly Irene blurted cynically, "Munafic."

Surprised enough, Yudith turned his head and found the girl still in the same position. He was not sure whose words he had just spoken for. For Ms. Yuliana or just one of the words in the book she was reading.

After being stunned for quite a while, Yudith finally regained his senses and hurriedly entered to tidy up her belongings. Busy with her back to Irene, she had no idea when the girl turned to her and stared with narrowed eyes filled with an aura of hostility.

When Yudith took out a few loaves of bread from the bag and placed them on the table, Irene's eyes turned to the object. Somehow, just by looking at the way he looked at it felt like it had reflected all sorts of devious plans.

As soon as Yudith moved to put the clothes into the cupboard, Irene quickly jumped down to pick up a loaf of bread, then quickly returned to the bed. While positioning himself as before, he hid the bread under the blanket.

Yudith could feel movement, but when she turned around and found the girl still in bed unchanged, she was not sure that her feelings were real. Finally Yudith continued to tidy up quite a lot of stuff. Dominated by package books loaned by the school for reference materials handling cases.

He put all the books as well as all the equipment related to handling the case into the closet, to prevent Irene who was playing the role of a client intentionally or accidentally read it.

One of the things that Yudith had to do in this case was to keep the secret. Because, if Irene finds out that she is being made an object, then it is likely that the girl will make a conscious rejection, increasingly rebellious and consider the approach taken by Yudith is only for the sake of value. For the sake of numbers to pass the practice exam and dian would definitely deliberately make Yudith fail.

For kids like Irene, what is needed most is sincerity. Little do they feel that a virtue contains a veiled intention, it will be very difficult to be able to get their trust back.

While thinking, Yudith kept busy tidying up her belongings in the closet until suddenly there was a rustling sound, like the sound of opening the plastic wrapper. Yudith turned to Irene and gasped, for the girl was now sitting on the bread that had just been opened.

Yudith's reflexes turned to the bread on the table and were indeed reduced by one. Yudith is not stingy. He would be happy to share anything with others, but dishonesty was one of the things he could not tolerate.

However, he could not also say something that would offend Irene. After pulling and exhaling slowly, Yudith looked at Irene and said, "If you like, take it again. Next time you want anything you can say it must be loved."

Her tone was soft. Yudith in general did have difficulty in communicating or interacting, but in certain things that desperately needed both skills, she was quite able to do well. Especially when dealing with children.

But in the current situation, Yudith did not know that he was being led into a trap by Irene who he considered, the child needs attention that must be treated with sincerity. Irene just stared coldly as she continued to chew. Even on his lips that continued to move, Yudith could feel a cynical smile.

Suddenly someone came, Yudith looked over. The seven-year-old girl stood at the door staring at the nanar Irene who was still constantly eating.

The boy suddenly shouted, "Mom Laili, Brother Iren is eating in the room again!"

As soon as Yudith realized, remember that forbidden to eat in the room is one of the rules of the dormitory that should not be violated, especially for the dormitory that contains children.

A nurse came in, Yudith recognized him as the man who had caught up with Irene on the swing. As soon as he saw Irene, he immediately glared and burst into rage, "How many times have you told me not to eat in the room! Dinner isn't full yet, is it? If you're not full, say you'll be loved, but eat in the dining room, not here."

Irene lowered the bread that was already in her mouth and held it on top of her lap, her face was instantly grim even eyes glazed over, as she lowered a few spots of clear liquid was falling

"Not pretend to be sad." The officer named Laili was cynical. "Who has bread from? Don't tell me to take it from the canteen again."

Irene shook her head slowly while pointing to the table. All eyes were immediately drawn to it and Yudith understood the meaning of his cold gaze and cynical smile. Irene seemed to indeed think everyone was an enemy to watch out for. Before being attacked he attacked first to show his strength, showing that he was not easily oppressed.

What kind of life experience has made the young girl have a strong sense of self-protection? To the point of strong will to fortify themselves so much in a cunning way. Twelve years old, but it's like that. Quite astonishing.

Yudith should not be wrong because there is no intention to break the rules, but with this kind of opinion-tripping he cannot deny being blamed. However, it turned out that Bu Laili was quite wise.

"Dec Yudith knows the rules? Next time be more careful because what looks innocent is not necessarily like that."

"Good, Mom. Sorry."

Bu Laili simply smiled, then looked at Irene and commanded, "Bring the blanket out, numb outside. And spend the bread outside."

Instead of obediently, Irene threw the bread into a trash can located near the door, but missed and fell on the floor. After that, he lay down and pulled the blanket over to cover his head.

Ms. Laili exhaled a rough breath, but said nothing. As he was about to leave he took the time to give Yudith a little advice, "Must be extra patient, Dek. Hopefully more patient than I."

Yudith smiled faintly and gave a small nod. After Bu Laili left, she was still standing staring at Irene who was wrapped in a blanket. He could not imagine how the days would be in his path after this.

With a client like Irene, can she meet the expectations of the principal's nun and her guidance teacher?
