We Buy the Same Book
🕳️
At about half-time seven in the afternoon, Andreas invited Mr. Dimas to go to the bookstore. While the head of the dorm was looking for books in another row, Andreas was in a row of novels. Coming there just because invited, he had no plans to buy any books. However, as he fiddled down the hallway of the novel line, he immediately remembered Yudith.
The young man snorted amusedly and then smiled smirked from feeling stupid. During this time he often gave this gift - it was, but never thought to give Yudith his favorite mystery novel.
You're a complete idiot, An. Andreas chuckled inwardly and began to look around to choose the novel he was about to buy.
The location of the novel shelves is close to the glass wall so that it can be seen clearly from the outside. Lisa who was passing by her parents accidentally saw the whereabouts of Andreas.
"Dad, Mom, to the bookstore, yuk!" The girl immediately pulled the hands of her parents.
"We're going to eat, Sa," said the mother. The beautiful woman who still looked very young was glancing at her husband.
"Oh, come along." Equally do not understand why his daughter suddenly changed direction, the thin mustachioed man did not know how to respond the wife.
Yeah, really follow what his daughter wants. After all, they deliberately picked Lisa up for dinner outside as an apology for not being able to comply with her request on Sunday.
Arriving near Andreas who was still busy picking up books, Lisa immediately patted his shoulder. "Hi, An."
"Geez!" Andreas jumped and the two books he was holding fell down. After taking it back, he turned his head and his forehead instantly frowned. How could Lisa who shouldn't be let out of the dorm suddenly be here? "Oh my goodness, Sa. Bikin shock. How come you're here?"
"Just like Dad, Mom. Wanna have dinner. Wh why? You think I ran away, do you?" Without hesitation, Lisa placed her hand on Andreas' shoulder.
"It's not so." The young man reflexively shifted, but Lisa also shifted to keep her hand on Andreas' shoulder.
"Dad, Mom, this is Andreas who Lisa told me about. An, meet my parents."
Andreas smiled clumsily as he nodded. She was already grateful when Lisa lowered her hand from her shoulder, but what happened later was even crazier. The girl held him tight.
"Oh, so this is what Andreas is called." The father smiled as he muttered.
The mother's smile was wider, to the point that there were many wrinkles under her eyes. "Indeed handsome, yes, Yah ..," he said later.
Andreas doesn't know what Lisa told his parents, nor does he want to know. All he wanted now was to end this extremely awkward atmosphere.
"Happy be-"
"Where's Mom, Dad?" Lisa didn't give Andreas a chance to say hello to his parents. "We fit in, right?"
Huh huh? What the fuck? Andreas glanced at Lisa who was getting closer and closer to him. Oh my God, this kid! Andreas can only tighten his jaws to resist embarrassment and anxiety.
"fit. That's a good fit, isn't it, Dad?"
"Yes, Mom. Fits fit."
The enthusiasm of both Lisa's parents made Andreas' forehead frown deeply. Now she could guess what Lisa had told her parents. It was very desirable that he jerked the girl's hand violently, but he certainly did not. She still has a heart, unlike Lisa who likes to be careless without thinking about other people's feelings.
"Congratio, An ...."
Mr. Dimas appears, Andreas feels like he was saved from a life-threatening kidnapping. Without hesitation he broke away from Lisa then rushed over to the head of the dormitory.
"Pak Dimas got the book?"
"It." While talking, instead of looking at Andreas, Mr. Dimas looked at Lisa instead. "Here, what, there's Lisa?"
With a sullen face Lisa introduced Mr. Dimas to both of her parents. His heart was troubled because it felt that the presence of the son's dormitory head had disturbed his pleasure.
"Titip Lisa yes, son Andreas," the mother asked when she was about to separate.
Andreas just smiled while nodding politely then hurriedly took Mr. Dimas away from there. After the death of Andreas and Mr. Dimas, Lisa picked up the same book that Andreas had taken.
"Like the mystery novel apparently." Lisa muttered as she flipped through the book in her hand. A thin, sly smile fell on the corner of his lips.
Justjust look. Before the yellow janur curved, there was still always a chance. All is fair in love. Yeah, right, Dith?
__________
At eight o'clock in the evening, after meals and closing worship (shared night prayers), the residents of the dormitory are free to do any activities of origin within reasonable limits. There are those who learn, watch TV, listen to music from the radio or tape recorder, who have a mobile phone or reply to messages, and so forth.
Yudith, Ririsma and a few others seem to be busy studying their own books in the dining-room - which if night is changed functions as a study room.
Drrt .. drrtts.
Yudith's phone shook, her monochrome screen flashed yellowish green and there was a picture of an envelope. The girl opened it immediately. It is definitely a message from Andreas because there are only two contact numbers, namely Ririsma and Andreas.
There's a surprise for you tomorrow. Happy learning, Yudith ;)
After reading, Yudith put her cell phone on the table. Ririsma immediately plucked the phone and, without being prevented, read a message from Andreas.
"Ish, lo mah is basic. Reply dong, Dith. Let me answer that ...."
Ririsma is so common. So, Yudith did not bother. Just let him reply as he pleases, there is enough assistant to reply to the message.
Thanks, Kayang. I can't wait for tomorrow. Happy learning too. Ntar bobok dreamin me yes ....
Not long after the message was sent, a reply came.
Damn you, Ris! His HP is the same as Yudith!
Ririsma giggles while returning the phone to Yudith. "What do you think you're bringing?" muttered later. "If only food will not be said to be a surprise."
Brakes
The whole room turned towards the door. Lisa who had just-unintentionally-kicked the trash can, entered and with a definite step approached Yudith and Ririsma. He just got home, hasn't changed a single outfit. The girl was already impatient to execute her plan.
"Lo gapain?" Ririsma immediately put on a sour face, his voice was stingy.
Lisa put the mystery novel she had bought onto the table. "It turns out Andreas likes to read mystery novels. Just found out about me." The girl giggled, proud to have known something that no one else knew.
While Yudith was cuey as usual, Ririsma looked at Lisa with her eyes squeaking her forehead. Since when did Andrew love to read mystery novels? Yudith is definitely yes.
"Or from where lo---"
"Rise." Under the table Yudith kicked Ririsma slowly and the girl was immediately silent.
"This is the proof." Lisa pointed to her mystery novel. "So I met Andreas at the bookstore and we bought the same book. He was also very close to my mother's father, you know. We talked a lot."
In silence Yudith could immediately suspect the surprise that Andrew had meant. If it is true that Andreas bought a mystery novel like Lisa said, it is most likely for him.
Ririsma gushed out laughing. He drew the same conclusion as Judith. So, you could say that Lisa is in the GR-ness.
"Have dech! Stop dreaming. Andreas will never like you. Go there!"
Lisa took the novel. "We just look at nati and .. get ready to lose you," he said with a cynical smile. After it breezed away, stepping with its chin raised.
"Ish, tacky!" Ririsma sneered. "What does he mean?"
"Where do I know." Yudith answered indifferently while continuing to pursue his book. He never told Ririsma about Lisa's threat at the time.
If Yudith had been like that, free also Ririsma forced to keep asking. The girl squinted, trying to guess the meaning of Lisa's words that seemed to be betting. However, it eventually had to give up because it could not find any possibility. With a boring Yudith, what's the thrill of betting? Anyway, how could Yudith possibly want a bet.
The next morning, as soon as he got off the foundation bus, Andreas immediately searched for Yudith and found the girl sitting on the bench of the canteen as usual.
"Morning, dear," Andreas said as he sat next to Yudith and grabbed her hand and kissed her.
Her affectionate words and actions just now are just two ways of joking around to tease Yudith. The young man most liked to see the face of the lover who was usually flat like an ironing board became slightly blushed.
"Geek!" And as usual, Ririsma did not get tired of pretending to vomit. "The more the day becomes - so lo, yes."
Andreas chuckles. "Why are you sewot anyway? Yudith did not mind."
"Ish, basic. Oh yeah, where's the surprise?"
"Kok, even you're impatient." While feigning a grumble, Andreas pulls out a mystery novel he bought yesterday, but before it was given to Yudith, Lisa comes and sits right next to him.
"Morning, An. The novel is exciting, yes," Lisa said enthusiastically while showing her novel to Andreas. "I read some of it last night. Really thrilling. How're you?"
"Hi, Sa, morning "Andreas looked at Lisa with a frowning forehead. He moved closer to Yudith. "What the fuck do you mean?"
Meanwhile, under the table, Yudith had poked Ririsma's thigh, warning her not to comment. And the glasses girl was silent, watching Lisa's PD-death moments embarrass herself.
"This is the mystery novel we bought yesterday. Cook forgot, anyway?" Lisa glanced at Yudith and smiled cynically, while Yudith remained lowered, not even raising her face.
"Oh, you bought the novel as well ...," Andreas said innocently without knowing Lisa's ulterior intent.
"Yes. How's it?" Lisa was edging closer and Andreas was getting closer to Yudith.
"I don't read mystery novels. This,"--Andreas showed me his novel and put it in front of Yudith-"I bought it for Yudith. He likes to read mystery novels."
"Huh?" Lisa's white face glowed instantly as well as blushing, her eyes widened and her mouth gawking. Goddamnit! Cussing in the heart. For a whole new life this time he was humiliated, and unfortunately humiliated by self who was too sure and lost confidence.
The half-dead ririsma held back the laughter. If his thighs were not being pinched by Yudith, he would have been crushed.
Shame is great, Lisa rushed away. The girl stepped wide without caring around, nudging and bumping into others like a sulking bull. And as it flashed near the trash can directly threw the novel there. Guns eating sir, what to keep. After all, he actually does not like to read novels, saying that he has read them it is just nonsense.
"Lo's campus." Ririsma exploded laughing. The bespectacled girl froze while banging on the table, to the point that Andreas grimaced.
Doesn't it hurt? Her thought. "What the hell are you doing?"
"That, Lisa. Last night back and forth show off buying the same novel. Then, he said you immediately familiar with his mother's father." After the nyerocos, Ririsma was back in tears because Andreas was dumbstruck like an idiot.
"Huh? She said that?" Andreas was completely inexhaustible, how Lisa interpreted that awkward atmosphere as a familiarity. An uneasy feeling, he looked at Yudith who was still looking down. "Dith, that's not true."
Finally Yudith lifted her face and smiled faintly. He had already read the greeting card affixed to the cover of the novel. As for Lisa and all her words, Yudith did not care.
Happy reading and don't forget to smile 🤍🤍🤍
"Thank you, An."
Andreas smiled broadly. For a moment, it seemed to flowery because lately Yudith had been smiling a lot, but after the girl opened her novel and started reading, she began to read, there was a little regret in the heart because Yudith turned out to be more fond of the mystery novel than the person who bought it.
"The novel's a lot more interesting than the guy, huh, Dith?" Andreas seduces Yudith while holding the girl's hand. As an expression that Andrew's assumption was incorrect, Yudith slowly squeezed softly into Andrew's fingers.
After that, like wanting to convey that Andreas can not be compared to the novel. The girl closed the novel, but kept looking down at the cover. He was too embarrassed to look at Andreas or just raise his face. The hand that was in Andreas' grasp was wet with sweat.
"Gue first, yeah." Ririsma who felt like a mosquito repellent rushed out.
