JUDITH

JUDITH
IRENE DOLL

Always show hostility. Staring hatefully. Does not like to be rebuked or advised. If it is forbidden to do something, he willfully does it. Doesn't like to hang out. I like to be alone and read books. Not talking, but likes to suddenly chuckle to say something that seems aimed at someone he really dislikes.

After reading the observation notes made for two weeks, and it turned out to be a nil result, there has been no change or development at all in the client Yudith handled, Ms. Lenni exhaled tired breath.

"I know it won't be easy, but you can't just give up. Try to be patient and last for at least three months. How's it?" There was concern in Bu Lenni's voice and gaze, as if Yudith was in a complicated situation, slumped and there was no way out anymore.

"There is no intention of giving up, ma'am," Yudith said sternly as she stared at the observation book that Bu Lenni was still holding.

Just strange. Why did his guidance counselor think of the two-week report as both a complaint and an announcement of resignation? But Yudith did only do the provisions according to his procedure. If you can choose, he prefers not to make the case of Irene as the object of discussion to get value.

"good. There's any difficulty to talk to mom about."

"Good, Mom."

"Oh, yes. Are there any signs she likes to bully other kids?"

Yudith shook her head despite the fact that Irene had several times cornered Vivi into the corner of the room. However, nothing happened. After being satisfied glared and Vivi was frightened, Irene would just leave.

For Irene's attitude like that Yudith could understand because Vivi, the child who slept in the same room, had a very big mouth. They love to interfere, complain and exaggerate problems.

"Yes, already. Back to class."

"Good, Mom. Thank you." Thank you."

Still hours of midday rest. So, from the teacher's room Yudith went straight to the cafeteria to join his friends. Only Andreas was welcoming when he arrived, whereas the others remained lowered, busy taking notes.

"Where? Miss Lenni said what? Here, sit here." Andreas slightly shifted towards Fitus while patting the spot beside him.

Already accustomed to the preferential treatment of Andreas, Yudith was no longer awkward. Just sitting side by side, not just alone. What's there to worry about?

"Don't give up" said Yudith, comforting himself beside Andreas.

The short answer automatically attracted the attention of the other three friends. They leave the activity of writing and staring questioningly.

"Emang you said you wanted to redden?" Behind the glasses, Ririsma's eyes narrowed and Yudith simply shook her head to respond to her question.

"Same guidance, Miss Lenni herself, is there Sister Davince too?" Sister Vero asked as she placed a box of brownies in front of Yudith. "Eat first make a stomach wedge. Make An Tuh."

"Just Miss Lenni." Yudith took a piece of cake and ate it right away.

He was very hungry because he did not eat breakfast this morning. Not not never, but because there are cockroaches on top of the fried rice. Though only left to the kitchen for a while to pick up chili sauce.

Not to accuse, but Yudith suspected it was Irene. Because of the time Yudith went into the room to change clothes, Irene came out of the room while interrupting the racecourse.

"Nob right, Dith?" andreas and Fitus suddenly hit the book, making Andreas jump in shock. "What's seh, Fit?"

The smooth curly haired friend looked at Andreas with narrowed eyes full of scorn. My lips smiled slanted. "Should you get a compliment from Yudith? Of our batiga isn't enough, huh?" With a very thick eastern Indonesian accent he said circus.

"Nob." Yudith's short answer stopped Andreas and Fitus who were ready to argue.

Afterwards, they again diligently recorded and Yudith was the only one who did nothing. The girl looked at her best friend in turn. Back when they were first grade, they had plenty of time to play around. When gathered together ngalor-ngidul unclear, yes, although Yudith did not follow because more focus on reading.

However, in this second grade they could no longer be like that. In addition to having to work with the task of case handling practices, they are also required to remain able to focus on lessons in school.

Yudith glanced at Andreas and found him writing detailed steps on the method of handling cases. After that, he glanced at Sister Vero's book and was apparently also writing the same thing.

"You're supposed to write that?"

Yudith just shook his head and only now it is thought why he seemed to be released to create? What Bu Lenni demanded was a report on the observation results, while a written format for her own case-handling report, Bu Lenni said nothing.

The conversation did not continue because they returned to the focus of taking notes. Even Andreas, who never used to miss a chance to flirt with Yudith, now prefers to date with pen and book.

Yudith, who had no activities, ended up just sitting with him while eating a cake. This was the first time that happened, where Yudith who was usually the only one who always looked down when gathered, was now the only one who did not look down nor did anything.

Suddenly there was a commotion in the SD court. Yudith was just staring indifferently. He thought most of the kids were fighting trivial matters. However, when Irene's name was called, let alone Yudith, the four friends immediately stopped their activities and stared at the commotion that was happening.

"Dith, Irene," said Sister Vero.

"Lo samperin there gih."

Without a word, Yudith stood up. Andreas also stood up, but Fitus held his hand. "You don't get in trouble."

Andreas did not protest. He was self-conscious, everything about Yudith could make him act impulsively. So, there really needs to be someone who must always remind. Luckily he had Fitus as a good friend. Finally he stood up and stared at the way Yudith had left.

Arriving at the place of the children who were in a storm, Yudith was shocked to death to see Irene was hitting a lot of boys who had been curled up on the ground while crying so badly.

Yudith immediately called out among the crowd to stop Irene, but a female teacher had already preceded her.

"Irene, stop!" The teacher pulled Irene's hand so violently, that the little girl slammed onto the ground and fell down.

The teacher immediately helped the boy stand up, then slashed his dirty clothes, rubbed his wet face while speaking softly to calm down. The one dear and the other was pulled rough until it fell, Yudith felt it was very unfair.

Suddenly Irene woke up and again attacked the boy who was still crying pacified the teacher.

"Return!" Irene screamed, her voice shrill, while snatching the little teddy bear that was in the boy's hands.

The boy's cry became more and more. Once again Yudith was late to pull Irene and finally the little girl was pushed back by the teacher.

"Irene's in class now." The teacher was commanding, but Irene was unmoved with her gaze fixed on the teddy bear that was tightly grasped by the boy.

Yudith recognized that the doll belonged to Irene. Thin gaping dolls are used as book limiters by Irene. Yudith slowly approached Irene, then touched her shoulder. Spontaneous alone the girl looked up at her hostility as usual.

"You went to class first, yes," Yudith asked in a soft tone, but Irene looked at him even more sharply, as if to say cynically: You also blame me, right? You don't believe me either, do you?

Before Yudith said anything to calm the girl's heart, the concerned had already left with wide steps and occasionally seemed to wipe her face. Yudith was sure Irene was crying. It seems like the doll is very valuable to Irene.

The teacher was about to take the boy away, but Yudith hurriedly said, "Sorry, Mom. The doll."

"Can't! It's mine!" The boy screamed and hid himself behind his teacher.

Yudith did not care for him. Calmly and flatly speaking to the teacher's mother, "I'm Irene's nanny. So I know the doll belongs to Irene, Mom."

For a moment the teacher seemed unconcerned, but then after seeing the sign on Yudith's right chest, suddenly just grabbed the doll from the boy's hand. No matter how much the boy wept, he handed it to Yudith.

"The name of the children, yes, it is only natural to fight for trivial things, Dek," said the teacher with an unsightly look. It seemed, the heart looked down on Yudith, but did not dare to show because he knew very well that Yudith was not an opponent that could be underestimated.

Yudith himself just stared flat. He disagreed with the reason the teacher gave. Wouldn't it be better to give an understanding from an early age than to continue to understand and let the same events continue to repeat. It was obvious that the teacher was very biased.

After all, Yudith walked back to her friends and looked at the now deformed book-limiting thin doll, as the stitches on the base of her legs and the base of her arms had been torn.

Yudith remembered the sad face and the screams of Irene. The emotion that the girl had just shown, for Yudith was enough to be an important consideration in determining the method of approach.

The sweet girl smiled faintly. Hopefully it works, he hoped inwardly.
