Alice's Grief

"I'll put a bodyguard on your side." Anton said firmly.

"Don't joke.I'm a bodyguard myself and even a spy agent, you want me to wear a bodyguard? Stop your silly thinking it's Anton." Alice said and started laughing sillyly with Anton's thoughts.

"But you could be in Alice's danger." Said Anton who was adamant with his thoughts.

"I'm not okay, anyway. I'm, after all, an Anton-trained agent." Alice said no less firmly.

"All right, we'll talk about this later." Anton. But in the future he will still put a bodyguard to protect Alice.

"Ohya how about information about my family." Alice said as she was done with her meal.

"We'll just go to the living room." Anton.

Anton sat down on the sofa next to Alice, and handed her the papers, there were even a few pieces of articles from a news story.

"Can you explain this?" Alice asked before she dared to read the files on the papers.

"As I expected, you seem to be in an influential extended family. Your name is probably Adeliana Fransisca Baskoro. Your father's name is Frans Baskoro and your mother is Amelia Princess." Anton said and paused his words.

The deg!! alice's heart felt like it was squeezed again upon hearing those names. Waitaminute! that's not the name that Bahar mentioned.

"What's the matter Alice, you look pale." Anton asked when he saw the look on his lover's face was silent and his face was pale instantly.

"Nothing." Said Alice flat.

'Why does Bahar know the woman's name, is it true that the man knows about her past that he has forgotten?' Ask Alice to herself. I don't know why the girl didn't dare to say that Bahar invited her to meet at the Pure Bar.

The girl wanted to find out first what Bahar knew, and what the man wanted.

Alice then read the medical file that had two different names, she slightly frowned.

"Yes.it was both your files as a child one file while in the central hospital in town X and another one in the suburb of S. I'm still investigating why that happened. But I suspect my mother took you from downtown X to suburban S. And I'm still searching for information on why in one file it says that the patient died when the same patient was transferred to a suburban S hospital." Anton was clear about the situation he understood.

"And as for the accident, I still have my uncle Aldo investigating." Anton said quickly.

"What happened to these two parents." Alice said when she saw a news of the accident but did not tell her the certainty of the circumstances of the victim.

"..." - ".Anton was silent for a moment then the man began to speak softly to Alice.

"Both of the little girl's parents died on the spot." Anton held Alice's hands together.

"Yes, if you are Adeliana their daughter, then Frans and Amelia both of your parents have died." Anton confirmed his prediction.

Alice who heard it shed tears profusely, the girl did not expect this, at first she just thought maybe she was abandoned or even not wanted. But the fact that both of her parents hadn't been looking for her all this time was because they were gone so Alice had been living alone since she was a child.

Anton tightly hugged Alice's trembling body, her beautiful face twinkling with tears filling his face. Anton who saw it could not see the scene of the destruction of his beloved. The man continued to hug Alice tightly and rubbed her back and hair. So that Alice can spill all her pain during this time and make the girl to be a little calm and believe that she will always be there to support the vulnerable body of her little girl.

"Whatever happens I'm here next to you. I'll never leave you." Anton's words calmed Alice down and continued to gently rub the girl's head.

Moments later when Alice calmed down the girl sat up straight her tears were now no longer out leaving only a tuft of the liquid that had almost dried up.

Anton took a tissue and wiped some of the liquid on the girl's face. Alice takes the tissue in Anton's hand and starts cleaning the liquid in his nose.

"Srotttt.." Alice cleaned her nose and then cleaned it with a tissue. Anton again gives Alice some clean tissue and without disgust takes the tissue that Alice has used and keeps it on the table.

"Is it better?" Ask Anton.

Alice nodded weakly. Anton gets off the couch and heads for the pantry, takes a glass of warm water and then thrusts it at Alice.

"Drink this, to calm you down a little." Anton and Alice took the glass and began to drink the warm water.

After drinking it, Alice kept the glass on the table and ventured to read some of the files back. He must know what happened to him and his parents.

"I was looking for information about the accident, it seemed like some party had deliberately covered it up and the news was so confusing that I actually had my uncle Aldo investigate it with his old division." Said Anton who understood why Alice was confused by some files from the newspaper in her hand that did not seem synchronous.

"I'll tell you right away if I get the exact information. There is information that says they were a single accident and there are also those who say that it was an accidental collision, some even mention it was an accident that has been designed. Whatever it is, I'll find out for sure." Anton said sure.

"Thank you.." Only that remark came out of Alice's mouth with her voice, she did not know what else to say under these conditions.

Seeing her lover so down and weak, Anton hugged Alice again to strengthen the girl.

"I'll find out everything. I'll find whoever dares to hurt you." Anton said sure.

"I believe in you." Alice said at last and hugged Anton's body back tightly. After a long time of silence and hugging and strengthening each other, Alice finally began to make a sound again.

"I have to go back to the apartment, and tell the others about my condition. I'm sure they must be very worried about my condition." Said Alice again. Anton started to let go of the girl's embrace and nodded in understanding.

"I'll take you." Anton and Alice nodded in agreement.
