#31 Mysterious Messages

Malamannya.

Suddenly we were called by the Commander of the Clement Squad to gather in the meeting room immediately.

I don't know what's going on. My time to rest has to be postponed.

Me and Alexa went straight to the meeting room. As usual, the two of us were greeted by a round table. We headed straight to the empty seats to sit down.

"Alexa, do you know what this is?" many confused.

Alexa shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know, Nikki."

Shortly after everyone had entered the meeting room, the Commander of the Clement Squad opened the meeting today while standing up. The look of his face panicked along with Commander Olav sitting beside him.

"We got a mysterious message through the Amdis Alliance radio network based on a report from the team that oversees the Amdis Alliance's regional radars and radios" Commander Regent Clement said.

"The message has been printed and translated into a form of writing" continued Commander Olav of Garrison.

"This is what we got."

He immediately placed a piece of paper on the round table. The writing on the piece of paper was large enough that I didn't have to reach for it.

"AT 00 O'CLOCK VIA RADIO NETWORK"

Meanin?

"What happened at 00:00?" commander Franz asked confusedly. "And through radio waves?"

Instantly the atmosphere of the meeting room became noisy because they whispered to each other next to each other.

"It remains uncertain" replied Commander Olav. "The coordinates of the location are also unknown."

"Is this someone who's a prankster?"

"Cannot be. It's very difficult to take a fad through the radio network of the Amdis Alliance!"

"We'll have to wait until 00:00 and we'll see what happens" Commander Squad Clement said.

We have to wait another hour and a half.

Suddenly the Amdis Alliance radio broadcast which is also in the meeting room along with a large monitor screen that is interconnected with radio waves, and, instantly live alone and display a screen that looks like it is broken along with a sound that deafens both my ears.

Our eyes were all fixed on the large monitor screen while staring at each other with a feeling of confusion and fear.

Strange things happen.

Instantly the monitor screen displayed an indistinct black shadow figure.

"That's a tracker!" someone panicked. However, Squad Commander Clement told him to be quiet and calm the meeting conditions that began not conducive.

Suddenly the radio network sounded accompanied by a noise.

"Finally we meet again, man!" His big and terrible voice appeared through the radio network which was related to the large monitor screen in front of us.

We were silent.

"S—who are you?" ask Commander Squad Clement to venturate.

However, the shadow figure through the monitor screen just laughed. Then he said, "I'm the demon king, King Loritz of the XI generation."

We were all instantly shocked to death and panicked. Squad Commander Clement's gaze rounded while staring at the monitor screen.

It was unexpected that this message came from the demon lord who managed to track down the radio network of the Amdis Alliance.

"Why did you send us a message?!" snapped Commander Squad Clement. "What do you want?!"

"Don't panic, brother. I sent you a message because I wanted to offer you something!" answer King Loritz XI.

"I want to make a peace treaty with you."

"DON'T BELIEVE IT, CLEMENT! HE JUST WANTS TO TRICK US!"

However, Squad Commander Clement only raised his right hand which signaled 'silence' to that person.

"I feel very sorry that the relationship between demons and humans ended in death as it is now. Therefore, I want to improve our relationship as before" explained King Loritz XI in a big voice.

"Especially this relationship of infidelity has had a huge impact, has it not?"

"And also a lot of demon soldiers and also human soldiers who died in large numbers just because of this problem alone" he explained through the monitor screen.

We are still a thousand words. Not believing what we heard.

King Loritz XI to make peace?

Does this mean that the oppression of mankind is over?

Or the opposite?

"I want to know one of your representatives who will represent the life of mankind!" king Loritz XI.

Instantly the atmosphere became noisy. The look on the faces of worry and panic mixed into one, visible from all meeting participants in this room.

The commander of the Clement Squad was further burdened by the statement of King Loritz XI.

Many of us don't want to be representatives of humanity on the grounds, "Fear of death."

Since I could not linger like this, with unanimous determination, I volunteered to be a representative of the life of mankind.

"I am willing to be the representative of humanity!" I was firm while standing.

All eyes are on me.

"Dine?!" Alexa was surprised to see me. I just returned his gaze with a faint smile. Then my gaze turned to the monitor screen which displayed a mysterious black shadow figure before me.

I had to fight all the doubts and fears that were running through me.

For the life of mankind.

I'm sorry, Squad Commander Clement. I just want to help ease your burden.

"What's your name?"

"Nica Rosabelle!" my answer. I had to temper my anger because of his ridiculing response.

"Alright, Rosabelle. I'm quite impressed by your strength" he said. "You're pretty famous among us."

What's he mocking, anyway?

I let out a breath.

"Back to our main discussion, are you willing to make a peace treaty together?"

"Yes! I as the representative of mankind am willing to enter into a peace treaty with you!" my firmness.

Suddenly the faces of the room were surprised to look at me. Their gazes were piercing once!

"YOU'RE CRAZY, HUH?!"

I looked at the guy. Then he said, "It's better to try than not."

"Are you sure?" King Loritz XI made sure of me.

"Of course!" answer me with complete certainty. "As long as your talk remains on the stand!"

King Loritz XI laughed at me. "And I invite you men to make peace. How could I possibly lie to you?"

I didn't answer his words.

"However, we wanted to see your true form!" my orders to King Loritz XI.

There was a momentary silence.

"Well, if you say so," he said suddenly. Instantly he instantly displayed a terrifying appearance that was accompanied by both glowing red eyes and a shattered face.

Instantly the entire room became frightened to see the appearance of King Loritz XI's truly terrible face.

King Loritz XI laughed at the expressions on our faces. "I thought so."

"We will make a pact on the night of the red full moon at Astaroth Castle" he explained. "If you're late, you'll see!"

"Agreed?"

"Agreed!" I sternly looked with a confident look at King Loritz XI.

"See you at the castle!" he said while smiling sideways. Suddenly the monitor screen and radio network turned off by themselves.

There was a moment of silence in this room. The silence that encompassed anxiety, panic, and fear mixed together into a unity within each person here.

"Nica! What have you done?!!" exclaimed Squad Commander Illyana while approaching me and grasping both my shoulders. His eyes were implied by deep anxiety.

"You willingly volunteered to be the representative of mankind!"

"When would you like no one to apply to be a representative?!" my snapping.

"This is our golden path to end this cruel world, Squad Commander Illyana!"

"I'm sorry, Squad Commander Illyana,"

"My determination is really round. I want to put an end to this situation immediately" I explained. Both of his eyes looked at me and caused a drop of clumping tears.

He immediately hugged me tightly.

"Don't worry, Squad Commander Illyana. It will all be over soon, "I said as I patted her on the back.

He immediately let go of his embrace and smiled. Shortly after, he returned to his seat.

The view of Squad Commander Clement was pointing at me while commenting on the smile on his face.

A smile moved at my actions.

I returned his smile too. After that, I turned my gaze back to every member present at the meeting tonight.

"We have little time" I said. Instantly my voice broke the silence and all eyes were headed towards me who was still standing on the spot.

"By seeing the number of members of the entire alliance getting smaller," I explained. "We must form a joint alliance."

"This alliance is called the 'Orion Joint Alliance', which is the joint alliance of all the members of the five alliances."

"Does anyone want to interrupt?" ask me while staring at those who seem to be digesting my explanation.

"Why does the name have to be 'Orion'?"

"The meaning of the name 'Orion' itself comes from the name of a constellation" I explained. "A constellation is a collection of stars that are interconnected with each other so as to create a beautiful pattern of togetherness in space."

"Just like we are united together to fight the devil to end the oppression of mankind" I continued.

"I'm sorry, if I seem too frontal in the submission as a representative of humanity earlier. My desire to change the world is already at the top and I want to put an end to this cruel world immediately, "i am clear. My heart trembled and instantly both my eyes wanted to shed tears at the wrong moment.

However, I have to be tough and hold back my emotions.

"I also want to help Squad Commander Clement in leading the human race," I said as I looked at the Commander of the Clement Squad who was still standing in front of me.

His gaze was shocked and unexpected at my statement.

"I want to avenge the death of heroes who have fought as much as possible against the demons that are increasing in number."

"The peace treaty plans put forward by King Loritz XI must not be fully believed!" my clear. "Perfectly the devil must have hidden intentions."

"Therefore, we must devise a special strategy during the peace agreement to facilitate their actions!"

"This is where our instincts are tested" I said as I pointed at my head.

"Let's work together to end this oppression and create a new, better civilization!"

The final bloodshed game of the world is about to begin.
