Nica's POV
I opened both my eyes. Look at the ceiling of an unfamiliar room. The smell of cooking is smelled by my nose.
Wasn't it the last time I was in the woods?
Confusion enveloped my mind. Both my eyes were still blurred which accompanied my body that was still drooping weakly on the tarp.
"Louis ..." murmured. Immediately the memory in my brain remembered the body that had been scattered. Tears came out and washed my face.
"Aakhs!!" Suddenly pain arose from my stomach as I tried to get up from the position of the bed.
Dizziness still accompanies my head.
I have to get up and get out of this foreign room.
Both of my views started to clear and I could see the walls and ceiling of the room made of stone. The stone gives a cool effect to all corners of the room.
Stone house?
"You're sober?" Suddenly a figure wearing a dark green hood entered this room. Both my eyes were staring at his presence.
"I'm going to inject you with medicine for the third time" he continued, smiling at me.
"You're Oliver?"
The man nodded slowly and smiled. "We meet again, Rika!"
"I'm glad you survived" he said, turning his eyes away from me. He was concocting a special potion, then put into the injection that he would give me.
"My real name is Tiberiu. Oliver is my pseudonym" he explained.
I'm speechless.
Soon, he finished concocting the potion into an injection and immediately approached me who was still sitting on a tarp and covered with blankets.
"Push your left arm!" commandment me.
I directly stretched out my left arm and directly injected the potion there. Instantly my arm felt aching and pain.
"The medicine will neutralize your severe wounds."
I was silent while looking at him. Then it says, "M—thank you."
Oliver smiles.
"I'm so sorry for the passing of your friend" he said suddenly.
I was silent while looking down. Holding a deep sadness in the depths of my heart.
It hurts so bad.
I want to scream so loud to vent this sadness.
"Oh yeah, I've been cooking soup for dinner!" oliver said with a slanted smile and gradually left me alone.
I pensively looked at her who disappeared from behind the curtain of the door. Suddenly my stomach rang which signified hunger. Spontaneously, I directly touched my bandaged stomach.
I started to move slowly because the pain in my head and stomach was still feeling. I headed out of this room and immediately greeted Oliver who was putting two bowls of soup on a wooden table.
"Come, let's eat!" take it with a friendly smile.
I immediately occupied one of the places to start dinner with him. He sat down directly in front of me.
There are no seats here. So we sat on a cool floor with a small table stretching out in front of us.
"Good meal!" said.
"Eat!" I said.
Suddenly a memory with Louis at a time like this flashed through my brain.
Eat with him while facing each other.
My tears can't hold back anymore. I immediately moved from my sitting position and came out of this stone house.
"Where are you going?!" shouted Oliver.
But I don't care about it. I stayed out of this house and left him alone.
Upon arrival outside the stone house, I ran among the dense coniferous forests. The cold pierced my skin that was not wearing thick clothes. The wind hits every pore of my skin.
I kept running while shedding tears.
I want to meet her.
This soul was so tormented with no presence beside me. I don't care if there's a demon following me right now.
Anyway I have to see you, Louis!
Suddenly the condition of my stomach wound that has not been recovered immediately caused a back pain effect accompanied by dizziness in my head.
Stalled steps.
My hand touched the tree to hold my almost fallen body.
"Damn!" grumbling. My breath is so tight.
I'm not strong.
I want to die.
I can't live like this.
"LOUIS, WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?!!" I shouted in the middle of a quiet night. Just alone in the middle of a creepy forest.
My tears are getting out.
"WHY?!!"
My chest feels tight and hurts so much.
"YOU LIED TO ME!" I continue to express my emotions to the night world.
"Please come back, Louis! Please!" I said in a hoarse voice due to sobs.
I dropped my body on the ground full of fallen old leaves and kept crying.
Suddenly Oliver managed to meet me who was crying under a tree.
"What are you doing alone here?!"
"I WANT TO DIE, OLIVER! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! PLEASE KILL ME!" I screamed while crying.
Oliver gripped both of my shoulders firmly. "Lost all your crazy thoughts and go back home!"
Refused it. "NO! I HAVE TO FIND LOUIS ANYWAY!!"
I am getting out of control. Oliver instantly strengthened his grip and looked at me earnestly.
"He's already in the world of immortals, Rika. Let him calm down there" Oliver said.
"I can understand how you feel about losing someone you love. But you have to accept all of that!"
"It's for your own good, Rika!" obviously Oliver.
"Gear me!" commandment me.
Slowly, I followed her orders to look at her blood-red eyes.
"Now let's go home."
"T—but …."
I was silent while looking into both eyes.
"Make him smile at you. Show her that you can be the best for her!" obviously Oliver. "Create his undelivered ideals."
"I'm sure you can do it, Rika!" oliver said with a smile.
"Now, let's go home!" bring him. Suddenly Oliver took off his hood and put it on me.
"I know you're cold" he said with a smile. Her blond hair was exposed to the moonlight. Her pale skin was almost the same as mine. But my skin is not as pale as he is.
Oliver only wears a thin white shirt in this cold air to keep me warm.
I had to endure the pain in my stomach area when I forced it to get up and walk. However, Oliver always helped me to get up and walk back to his house.
This kind of situation, reminds me of the time in survival games.
It is true Oliver said. I have to accept his departure, after all.
Silence enveloped the two of us on the way back to his house that resembled a stone house.
"T—thank you," I said. Breaking the silence between the two of us.
Arrive home and continue dinner with his soup.
Oliver simply replied with a smile. Then he went back to eating the meat soup in front of him.
"This moment reminds me of him. I'm sorry," I said as I watched the pieces of meat float to each other in the soup.
"I've guessed," Oliver said as he enjoyed the meat soup. "Luckily there wasn't a demon just now,"
I did not reply to her words and immediately enjoyed her homemade soup. I don't know when I eat meat in this soup, I feel weird about the texture.
"Oliver, what meat is this?" ask me while showing him the piece of meat from my bowl.
"That's human flesh" he answered.
"BY?!!" I took the meat out of my mouth.
Suddenly Oliver laughed at me. Then he said, "That's venison."
"Where is it?!" my ketus.
"Yes it's venison. I hunted a deer a week ago around here" he explained with a slanted smile.
"Will you try human flesh?"
I shook my head. "I will never eat human flesh!"
"Why?" tanyanya. "When human flesh is delicious!"
I immediately stopped my eating.
Oliver looked at me in wonder.
"I will never eat my own people even if I'm already half-demon" I explained. "I want to save them."
"I want .. to kill the demons all of them."
Instantly the pain occurred in the depths of my heart.
"I want to help you realize the human dream" he said suddenly with a smile.
I looked directly into both eyes.
Eh?
"I ran away from my people because they've put a damper on my life" he explained.
"Since I felt the game survival game that was created by the king of the previous generation, I have understood everything."
"I can feel how to lose someone .. and yes, there I feel it's not great to be a demon that can only oppress people." Oliver let out a long sigh as he stared at his unfinished meat soup.
"I'm the one who's a fugitive I have to face" he continued. "It happened because I accidentally ate a human and I was too carried away by the current."
"Since then, I've come to realize that humans are not for the devil to feed" he said.
"Human and devil are friends."
There was a momentary silence.
"I'm just here looking for my mom. I miss him so much!" said Oliver. "He was never present in my life and my father always hid my mother's figure from me."
"I have to tell you that I've met your mother" I said.
Oliver stared intently at me.
"He who brought me back to life with his blood. If it didn't exist, I might have been eaten by the devil."
"He saved me."
"T—but …."
It is hard for me to finish this sentence. My chest is getting so tight.
"SAY WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY MOM, RIKA!" snapped Oliver. He couldn't wait to hear my sentence being cut off.
"Your mother was killed by a demon lord a few years ago" I said. "He's a fugitive just like you because he left his job as a doctor in a demonic institution related to survival games."
"He left work to get me out of there" I continued.
"I'm sorry, Oliver. It's not all my will" I said, looking into his eyes.
Oliver tries to toughen up and accept the departure of his mother who from a long time ago he continues to look for it to the human world. However, his stubbornness was defeated by a drop of tears that soaked his face.
"It's his will. He told me to change the world."
"Your mom is great. He has helped many people by working as a doctor in the human environment" I explained.
"I'm so sorry."
"Thank you for the information, Rika," Oliver interrupted suddenly with a faint smile. "Even if I can't see him, but at least I'm glad to hear it from you."
Oliver displayed a smile of sadness implied on his pale face.
"This is the second time I've cried" Oliver said.
"After the first time I cried as I stared at the death of our teammate at the survival game."
"It was like crying like running water coming out of my face." Oliver kept wiping his teary face.
To her, crying was a rare and difficult phenomenon to come by.
"I didn't think I could cry."
"That means you've understood a deeper feeling" I said.
Oliver smiles happily finding himself who managed to cry for the second time during his life in this world.
I smiled seeing him.
My heart was touched instantly and tears came back through my cheeks.
These tears ....
An overflow of emotions.
