INJUSTICE: Save Human Or Surrender

INJUSTICE: Save Human Or Surrender
#28 The Truth Of All This

Nica's POV

4 Days later.

The day changed. Day and night pass quickly.

It's time to start a new chapter in my life.

Without Louis.

Little–demi–a little I began to be able to accept his departure even though it was actually very difficult. Not infrequently I cried suddenly until Oliver was confused about me. However, he continues to motivate me to be able to face all of this.

My condition has fully recovered compared to yesterday. The pain in my stomach and head was healed thanks to the herbs made by Oliver. She reminds me of Mama Mathilda. His intelligence in making drugs and other things related to medical.

It was truly a talent derived from his mother.

"Thank you so much, Oliver! I was finally able to walk back without pain" said I, who was sitting in the dining room mixed with the kitchen because of the small space.

"Thank God! I'm glad to hear it, too" said Oliver, who is preparing the ingredients to make breakfast by cutting the herbs he's been getting around here.

Either he learned to cook from nowhere so he always cooks different foods every day.

"By the way, can I still call you Oliver?" my many. This question has been going around my brain for a few days with him. "I don't usually call you by the name of Tiberiu to be honest."

"Anything you can call me. However, it's safer that you call me Oliver" he said, inserting the herbs he had cut into his boiling cooking.

"Oh, okay!" my answer.

All the bandages that were tied to my body were taken off. To be honest my stomach felt tight while it was still tightly tied there.

I can finally move with relief!

I also don't forget the clam pendant necklace. It was always on my neck. I instantly clasped the beautiful clam pendant.

A memory.

"Gifts from the people you love, huh?" oliver asked suddenly as he placed a bowl on each side of the table containing rice and vegetables as well as a few pieces of venison dice coloring the contents of the bowl. His glance glanced at me and also this beautiful thing on my neck.

He seems to realize this thing.

I'm sluggish. "Yes that's how it is."

"Last gift from him."

"I like his collar pendant. It's gorgeous!" praise Oliver with a smile and directly sit in front of me.

"Minds me of the shells I've seen in the book of knowledge my father gave me."

"In my world there are no things from the beach or the sea. So I can only see them in the book of knowledge" he explained.

"Have you ever been to Salz?" my many.

Himself shook his head. "I can't get out of the woods. They'll definitely meet me."

"It's hard" I said.

"Indeed," said Oliver with a small laugh. Laughing fate.

"Good meal!"

"Good meal!" I replied and immediately ate breakfast as a result of the hunt we both had yesterday afternoon.

I just wanted to try to get a feel for how to hunt animals and look for beneficial herbs on the outside.

It was compared to what I expected.

From here, I can figure out how to survive in a harsh world. It was hard, but he had to face it. Hunting activities have become his duty without exception. Fate requires him to do this.

"Don't kid!" myrag.

Oliver smiles. "I'm glad you like it!"

I just smiled as I finished the leftovers in the wooden bowl in front of me.

"I learned to cook from a waitress who took care of me first" Oliver explained. Suddenly he answered a question that had been ringing in my brain from earlier.

"I love watching him work in the kitchen whenever he's making food for a banquet."

"He has taught me many things" he continued, staring at the rice grains in his bowl.

"This is one of my favorite foods."

I was silent while digesting his explanation. But there is one thing that confuses me.

Did he use venison at that time just like he does now?

Suddenly Oliver smiled obliquely at me. "You must want to know the meat I ate first."

He's?

My eyes were staring at him in front of me.

"I used to use human flesh" he replied. "Human meat has become a commonly consumed meat. Even every day we eat it."

"But more and more days I realize that venison and other mammalian meat are better than human meat" he explained, taking a piece of dice-shaped venison out of his bowl.

"What makes demons love human flesh?" my many. "Isn't all meat the same?"

"From the texture, human flesh is softer and chewy even though there are many bones" Oliver explained.

"The protein content in human flesh is obviously more, especially in the brain."

"The devil is targeting the human brain because it is thought to be able to develop their brain structure to be more perfect."

"But not all demons are allowed to consume the human brain continuously. Groups one and two are allowed to consume the human brain excessively" he explained at length.

"First and second?"

Oliver nodded. "The powerful."

"The goal is that the other lower classes cannot exceed the limits of the intelligence of groups one and two," he explained at length.

"The price of the human brain sold is very expensive for the lower demon society."

"Then what if there is one or several demons from the lower classes that can surpass the limits of the intelligence of the upper class demons?"

"They will be put to death in public" Oliver replied. "It happened and I've seen it!"

"He was a demon from the lower classes who was put to death for creating an object that was considered to have exceeded the intelligence of the upper class demons."

"That's bad!" I said while hearing Oliver's explanation.

"After he died, his body along with his findings were burned at that time."

"The downward demon society must obey the rules of the king however. If not, they will be sentenced to death."

I was silent a thousand words.

It is cruel to the life of the devil. All this time I imagined, not as beautiful as reality as Oliver explained.

It's so sorry for them.

But the devil is still the devil. Want it down though. Their goal is to hunt and eat humans. However, Oliver's self is different from them, even though he is completely pure demons like them.

The thing that made him different was that he already knew the truth behind the two lives in this mortal world.

"Okay, the meal's over!" said Oliver suddenly while putting his wooden spoon in the reverse position.

"Geez, I'm not done yet!" I panicked because my food was not completely finished.

I went back to eating it.

Oliver smiled at me and immediately moved while carrying a used wooden bowl he ate towards a wooden bucket that was filled with water.

"Because you're daydreaming" he said casually.

I did not answer his words and still finished every grain of rice and piece of venison in my bowl.

--

I've been living here for a few days. My thoughts suddenly turned to the figure of the Commander of the Clement Squad.

Alexa, my,

Simas, sir,

And others.

Are they okay?

I'm sure they must be looking for me.

However, the GPS device that was previously attached to my wrist, instantly disappeared and I never saw it again. I don't know who let go.

Or maybe Oliver was the one who let go of that thing when he saved me so that no trace of him being a fugitive of the alliance?

I'd love to ask Oliver that. But fear tells me not to do it. But soon they will find us.

Anyhow.

"I went hunting first, yeah. You just wait at home" said Oliver, who was ready to hunt with his old green hood and hunting gear. One of them is a basket made from plant fibers to transport the prey.

He stood right in front of the exit.

"Wait a minute!" Instantly his steps came to a halt and turned towards me with astonished looks.

"What?"

"May I ask you something?" my many. Trying to vent.

"Can."

"By the way, did you see the thing that was attached to my hand that time?" my many.

"What thing?" tanyanya's confused.

"That thing is, like a watch but it's not," I said. I felt unprepared for the answer.

Oliver seemed to be thinking about it while touching the chin using his index finger. Both eyes looked at the ceiling.

"Is that really important to you?" ask her with a sharp look at me.

I was surprised by the question.

"M—you mean?"

Suddenly he gave a slanted smile. "Don't it matter until you ask me about it?"

I was silent.

There was silence between us for a few seconds.

"Yes, that thing is very important to me," I replied as I lowered my head with a tremble that spread all over my body. I tried to dare to ask him that.

"Now where is that thing?"

"Unfortunately, I have destroyed it" he replied.

"I'll go first."

"Don't go!" my orders. He turned back to me.

"Sooner or later, they'll catch you!" I said. "I'm sure they're already around here."

"You're on their mission, Oliver!"

"I don't want anyone killed, be it you or them!" my clear. He was silent in front of the door.

One more step he'll be out of this house.

"That's me asking you about that thing. I want to monitor the movement to what extent they are," I continued.

"It's for your own good."

Oliver was still silent. Now his eyes are pointing at me. Then he said, "Okay, I'm not leaving."

Oliver immediately put back his hunting equipment. Suddenly, he brought his face closer to me. "But we have to leave this place right now!"

He immediately threw his face in the other direction and stepped away from me.

"Oliver, free we go. They can track us anywhere!" I said.

"I don't care. I'll kill them!" said Oliver who insisted on his stance.

"Oliver!" call me. He did not listen to me and rushed to tidy up his belongings and went out of the stone house that had become his residence.

"Listen to me, Oliver!" I continued to chase him until I arrived outside his stone house.

"You're working with them to catch me, right?!" snapped to me.

"I've known about it since I met you with a device that resembles a watch!"

"I want to sort this out between them and you, Oliver! All of this happened because of a misunderstanding" I interrupted. "I don't want this problem to continue!"

"Free if we run away won't solve the problem, it's getting worse!"

Instantly his steps stopped. Suddenly he spread his hood in front of me.

Instantly an arrow that has contained drugs, successfully intercepted by Oliver.

"They've come!"

Oliver immediately pulled my hand to immediately leave the location.

The alliance has arrived. I didn't know they were the Amdis Alliance or any other alliance. They were chasing us.

"Damn!" grumble Oliver.

"Stop, Oliver!" myrag. "I'll explain to them."

"No way, Rika! They won't hear you" he said as he pulled my hand and continued running from their pursuit.

"Trust me. This problem needs to be solved slowly" I said.

"They'll worry me more and more and they'll hunt you down more and more if this keeps up!"

I looked at his face with serious eyes. Trying to melt his heart and hard stance.

"All right."

Finally our steps came to a halt right in the middle of this dense coniferous forest.

The cold pierced my skin. My heart is beating very fast. My determination was really unanimous to clarify this matter to them.

Rika, you can do it!

Shortly after, they arrived in front of us. Squad Commander Clement was at the very front of the line. He was facing me in front of Oliver. I tried to protect Oliver and told him to stay behind me at this moment.

Now my gaze and Commander Squad Clement's are at one another. Our distance is also far away. The atmosphere began to grip which was supported by the atmosphere of the forest which was quite creepy.

"We finally found you, Nica! We are really worried about you," Squad Commander Clement said with a faint smile on his face. His tone was unusual. There is a hidden meaning in his words.

"Please don't hurt Oliver."

"Nica?" Instantly Squad Commander Clement looked confused by my sentence. "Isn't this our goal?"

"No!" my answer. "OLIVER IS CLEARLY INNOCENT, CLEMENT!"

"IT'S JUST A MISUNDERSTANDING!"

"Misunderstanding how? Isn't it obvious that he's been endangering humanity?"

"It's all wrong! Oliver doesn't harm humans!" my snapping.

I took a deep breath, then exhaled it again.

"Indeed, he once ate a human. However, he had already realized his mistake!"

"In fact he wants to help humanity towards a just world!"

Instantly the atmosphere became silent and gripping. Only the sound of wind and rustling leaves touched each other.

"OLIVER SAVED ME DURING THE DEMON ATTACK INCIDENT ON THE NIGHT OF THE DAY!!"

"He's the one who killed the nightmare-carrying demon! If there wasn't him, we'd probably be dead,"

"She fled to the human world just because she wanted to find her mother, Mama Mathilda who was my adoptive mother first."

"Mathilda?" muttered Oliver.

I nodded and turned to the direction that was right behind me. My gaze turned back towards Commander Squad Clement in front of me.

"I reiterate once again, this is all just a misunderstanding! However, by now we have learned the truth from Oliver himself."

"I AM AN EYEWITNESS TO THIS TRUTH!" my firmness.

"If you insist on catching Oliver, kill me first."

"Rika ..." - Oliver.

I looked towards him. "I'm sorry, Oliver."

There was silence for a few moments.

Squad Commander Clement and the rest of the squad were stunned to look at the two of us. Shortly thereafter, Squad Commander Clement dismounted from his horse. It seemed that a soldier said something to himself so he raised his left palm before the soldier.

Squad Commander Clement began to move both of his legs to half the distance between the two of us and himself.

"Tiberiu, come!" commanding Officer of the Clement Squad who was only alone standing there.

I don't know why I feel so suspicious of him.

I'm sorry, Squad Commander Clement.

I gestured for Oliver to stay behind me.

"I'm not gonna hurt him. Believe, Nica!" said Squad Commander Clement while commenting on the thin smile on his face.

"I'm not just gonna give up Oliver!" me asserting him.

Suddenly Oliver touched my shoulder and said, "Nothing, I just go forward."

"Don't, Oliver! He must be setting you up!" I nodded in a small voice accompanied by panic.

But he just smiled. Oliver left me on the spot and went straight to Commander Squad Clement.

My heart is beating fast. Cold sweat drenched behind me.

Please don't arrest Oliver!!

Now they both face each other. Suddenly Squad Commander Clement placed one of his ears right on Oliver's chest.

Hearing Oliver's heartbeat.

My gaze and the other members of the Amdis Alliance stared at the sight of the two of them. Long enough in this situation.

Squad Commander Clement felt Oliver's heartbeat while closing his eyes. He slowly began to follow the rhythm of Oliver's heartbeat.

What's the matter?

"Mother," Suddenly the sentence came out of the mouth of Squad Commander Clement as he closed his eyes and felt the rhythm of Oliver's heartbeat.

"Eh?"

Shortly after, Squad Commander Clement removed his ear from Oliver's chest.

"My mother's soul is within you" said Squad Commander Clement.

"I can feel it" Suddenly his eyes glazed over as he looked at Oliver right before him.

Oliver stared silently at the Commander of the Clement Squad in surprise.

We all watched the scene in front carefully. Instantly my soul also felt this new situation.

"Thank you for saving us" he said with a smile and his eyes glazed over.

A look of a happy smile was implied on the face of the Commander of the Clement Squad.
