Currently Shaka and Jean are sitting at one of the Company's cafeteria tables. The sight of Shaka who was not separated from Jean made the girl feel uncomfortable. He felt as if he was a suspect being interrogated. How not, Shaka was currently looking at her with a serious look, scrutinizing her face as if there was a strange look on her face.
Do I look ugly? Or dull? Or is there something on my face?
Jean wants to go look in the mirror now.
The silence was finally solved when the blonde-haired man— whom Jean did not know his name, put two cups of coffee and a snack on the table. After that, the man walked away. Sitting not far from them.
"This isn't our first meeting, is it? How you doing, Jean?" Shaka started the conversation.
"Good." Jean answered briefly.
"You don't want to ask me?" ask Shaka.
Jean laughed awkwardly. "Ah, yes. How are you, Mr Shaka?"
Shaka happily replied, "My news is very good." Enthusiastic answer.
Wait, do I look so excited right now? No, it can't be like this. I'd look weird if I was too excited. Right, I have to be cool.
Shaka, who realizes his attitude is excessive, begins to change his attitude. First, he changed the way he sat more firmly to look authoritative. Second, speak calmly like a cool man. Third, what else? It seems that Shaka should consult Aslan, his best friend who is already concerned about women.
Shaka cleared his throat, trying to break the awkwardness between them. "Eat."
Jean sipped her coffee slowly while occasionally putting her food in her mouth. Again they were covered with silence. Shaka is still busy with a mess in his mind, while Jean is confused what to talk about.
Delvin who was not far from them just shook his head to see the behavior of his boss. He said love was half dead, but when there was the idol of the heart even in pecans. That's really the boss.
For ten minutes they kept quiet, and the snacks served by Shaka—, which of course was brought through Delvin—, were over. Honestly, Jean is still not full because Shaka only presents a piece of strawberry cake.
Keep in mind, Jean really likes cake, so the cake disappears in just a few minutes. But, what Jean needed right now was to get out of this awkward situation. Now, Jean is at a loss to start a conversation about how she can get away with it.
"Ep... Mr. Shaka." call Jean.
Shaka did not answer.
"Sir."
Shaka was silent.
Jean hesitantly touched a little of Shaka's palm on the table. And you can guess Shaka's response, of course surprised by his stupid look. "Ah, yes. Why?"
Delvin who saw Shaka was surprised, was also surprised. Suddenly, Delvin became embarrassed by Shaka's behavior.
Can't Shaka look as authoritative as the CEO in general?
It seems like Delvin forgot that the man was Arshaka, the CEO of the Altair company. The most exemplary President Director he knew in his lifetime.
"You've finished your meal, what do you want to add?"
Back, Shaka's question made Delvin pat his eel.
Jesus, Boss. Are there no other questions besides that?
Jean shook her head. "No." she replied.
"Why? Is the food bad?" ask Shaka again.
"It's not. But I have to go back." Jean explained.
Shaka was silent for a moment. In fact, he still wanted to linger with Jean. Chat like a friend so he can make a thin approach. But it seems Shaka lacks a sniff. All this time the women were chasing him and he just had to respond to it. But this time it was different. Shaka's going after Jean. Seems right, he should immediately contact Aslan for a consultation.
While Delvin hears Jean say goodbye, hoping that his boss will end their meeting before Shaka acts increasingly foolish.
"alright. Want me to take you?" Ask Shaka.
Delvin exhaled, relieved.
"Thank you for the offer, but I'll just take a taxi." Reject Jean fine.
"Well taxi? Where's your bike?" ask Shaka. Looks like the guy slipped.
Shaka seemed to have not realized his words. The man was silent waiting for Jean to answer the question he asked. Delvin who again realized the stupidity of his boss, immediately went forward.
"Miss Jean, I'm Mr. Shaka's personal assistant. Would Miss Jean like me to take you home?" delvin asked while glancing at Shaka at a glance.
Shaka wants to protest. Maybe his personal assistant interrupts their conversation without permission. "Delvin, you—"
Delvin bowed politely to Shaka, then approached while whispering, "Boss, cut your stupidity. You don't realize you're too tired to say 'motor' to Jean? You do know Jean, but Jean doesn't know you. To him, you're still a stranger, boss."
Shaka who had just realized his stupidity, closed his eyes. But wait, why did Delvin's words hit his heart, huh?
"Jean, you're getting ushered in by Delvin. I have to get back to work, see you." Shaka says goodbye without hearing Jean want to protest. Then he turned to Delvin, "You'll have to drive him home safely and then let me know."
"Ready, Boss."
Shaka passes from there leaving Jean in her confusion.
What's wrong with that guy?
***
"Have you driven him?"
"Already, Boss."
"With congratulations?"
"With safety and no abrasions."
"All right, you can come back."
Calls closed. Delvin, who was still in front of Jean's gate, grimaced at her boss's behavior.
Delvin runs the car he drives. However, it was not towards the company but rather towards the residence of the Altair family.
When Jean got out of the car and disappeared from the gate of her house, Delvin got a phone call from Haisa asking him to go to her residence first before heading to the office. Haisa said, there is something to talk about Aidan. So now Delvin's headed for the Mansion first. Shaka's business, which will ask about his whereabouts, will be handled later.
"So, Shaka asked you to find Aidan's parents?" Haisa asked Delvin.
"Yes, Madam."
"I'd guess. So, you're looking for him?" Haisa asked back to Delvin.
"I've checked the house cctv, ma'am."
"That means you haven't asked the mustache to track him down, right?"
"I'm sorry, Madam." Delvin looked down politely, apologizing.
"It's up to the mustache apparently. So, how? Who's that woman?"
"Unidentified, Madam. Tracking it down took several days because the identity of this woman was hard to trace. It seems he's not a random person, madam."
Haisa nodded. "alright. You can look for him. However, when you find out who that woman is, don't tell Shaka first."
Delvin looked at Haisa. "I'm sorry if I'm presumptuous, if you may know, why did you hide it from Mr Shaka?"
Haisa folded both her hands on her chest. "The child must learn to be an adult. You know very well how Shaka is. Through Aidan, I hope Shaka can become a grown man. Ah, I also really want to see her get married."
Delvin nodded, then digested slowly,
In conclusion, Madam Haisa wants her son to get married soon, with Aidan as a tool, and under the pretext that Shaka learns to become an adult.
Though Shaka looks careless and sometimes troublesome, Delvin knows full well Shaka's mindset was mature even before Shaka became CEO three years ago. Even sometimes Delvin is still learning from Shaka how when addressing the officials and employees in the company properly and correctly. Shaka's mature attitude is only masked by his silly attitude. Can't Haisa and Ivan see that? I don't know, for now Delvin can only comply with the wishes of the Madam and her Grand Master.
