BRACKET
"JEAN!"
A tall girl with short shoulder-length hair entered Jean's hospital room in a hurry. His head was looking for Jean.
"No need to scream, Kayana. I'm right here."
The person in the car appeared from inside the bathroom wearing casual clothes. In his arms was the uniform of the patient he wore last night.
Kayana immediately rushed over to Jean, "Why are you here? Where's that sick?" He asked a scene.
Jean put the patient's shirt in the basket near the bathroom. "I'm doing fine. Just tired."
"really?"
Jean spread her arms revealing her fine condition. "See. I'm okay."
Kayana with a look on her face still showed some hesitation, finally nodding slowly.
"Where's my phone?" Jean offered her hand asking.
"Not turned it on yet" Kayana said, handing over Jean's phone.
Jean turned on her phone and waited for a moment.
Kayana, who was still hesitating, watched Jean's face closely. "How did you get to the hospital?"
Jean smiled, fully understanding the nature of her best friend. If still in doubt, Kayana will ask constantly until she is satisfied with the answer.
"In the meantime, I want to call someone."
Seeing Jean looking down focused on her phone, Kayana thumped. Sitting on top of the gurney next to the girl.
"The number to which it goes is being diverted. Please—"
One, two, three times Jean contacted Shaka but there was no answer from the man.
Is he busy? It was already lunch hour.
Just as Jean was about to put her phone in her jacket pocket, her phone rang.
Arshaka calling.
"Hello."
"Hello, Jean. How are you doing?" Shaka's voice was heard across the street.
"I'm doing fine. Sir, are you busy?"
"Hey, yesterday you dared to call me without 'Master', why come back to call me that. Don't be so formal with me, just call Shaka."
"Alright," Jean said. "Emmm.. Shaka, how are you?"
"I'm good."
Kayana frowned hearing the name Shaka. What Shaka did Jean mean by the Arshaka that Ezar told you yesterday?
"What about those guys?" asked Jean in a cautious tone. Fear Shaka regained emotions remembering last night's events.
Know, Kayana was silent. However, his ears listened carefully.
"They're at the police station."
Jean sighed, relieved.
Shaka across there chuckles. It seems the man heard Jean's breath. "Do you think I'll kill them?" shaka's voice sounded funny there.
"Mom.. It's not like that,"
"Where did I kill them while you passed out hugging me, Jean?"
React to two cheeks Jean flushed hearing the word 'hugs'. Jesus, was he too implusive then?
He cleared his throat, tried to neutralize the nervousness that suddenly ensued and he said, "Thank you for taking me to the hospital."
"Yes. Sorry I haven't been able to see."
"No. I mean, it's okay. I'm already fine. Even now I'm allowed to go home." Jean explained.
"Well, I'll visit you this weekend. You said you had something to talk to me about, right?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"I'll call you back later. I'm closed, yeah. See you soon."
"See you."
Jean kept her phone away from her ear. Kayana next to him immediately shifted, approached him and said, "Explain."
Hearing Kayana's voice so close to her ears, Jean was shocked.
Kayana clasped Jean's two hands while moving to the left. "Explain to me, Jean. I'm sure something happened to you last night."
"Yes-yes. I'll explain, stop first."
Kayana swiftly released her hand and then quietly listened to Jean's story.
"So you were almost harassed and chased by striped men, and then you almost got hit by Shaka's car and ended up being helped by him and then passed out?" Kayana asked to clarify.
"More or less like that."
"You're also waiting for Shaka at the cafe in three hours?" Kayana's tone has now gone up an octave.
"Yes." Yeah."
Kayana looked at Jean in amazement, "Waah! How can you wait that long without certainty?"
To be honest, Jean was confused. At that time he only thought he would wait for Shaka because he believed the man would definitely come even if it was too late. Unfortunately, his phone was left behind at Kayana's house and he couldn't get any news from Shaka so he kept waiting without certainty, until the cafe closed.
"This shaka you're talking about, Arshaka Virendra that Ezar told you about yesterday, right?"
Jean nodded.
Kayana grumbled, "Curtain, you deserve to wait three more hours" she said, staring at Jean.
Jean, who understood his best friend's words, quickly dodged, "It's not like that."
"Then what?"
"I had something important to talk to him about at the time." Jean tried to explain.
Kayana folded her hands on her chest. Looking at Jean with a glance, "You... What's your relationship with him?"
Jean shook his head quickly,
Already suspicious, Kayana is increasingly suspicious to see Jean's response. "Say, you have something with him, right?"
Jean scratches her temple, confused to want to tell Kayana about her match with Shaka or not. Because after all, he still believes that the matchmaking is not certain aka playful.
But the truth is no, Jean.
"I can't say it yet. Wait until everything is clear, I promise I'll tell you" Jean said.
"Why did it get like that? Your relationship with Shaka is that complicated, huh?" Kayana is still with her magic.
"It's not so, Kay. The pokonya I'll tell you when the time is right. No, don't ask again."
Jean gave up, out of words.
Kayana who heard that, snorted. He did not force Jean to explain. It seems that Shaka and Jean's relationship is complicated. "alright. Remember, I'll take your promise."
"Yes, yeah. I'll answer it if I get the answer."

"Excreate my schedule for this weekend. I don't want an impromptu meeting or anything." Shaka's orders to Delvin. They just got out of a Japanese restaurant, just finished a meeting with a client there.
"Good, Boss."
Delvin walked beside Shaka towards the basement.
"How are their cases progressing?" shaka asked after getting in the car.
"By being taken care of by my lawyer."
"I want them to be punished with as much weight as possible anyway" Shaka said as he loosened his tie.
"It'll work, boss."
"I don't want to hear such an unconvincing answer."
"Good, Boss. I'll call the judge immediately so that they are given the most severe punishment." said Delvin.
"Good."
Shaka grinned. Let them be punished as hard as possible because they dare to touch the girl. If necessary when they get out of the cell, Shaka will finish them off with both hands.
No one knows the dark side of Arshaka Virendra. Everyone only knows Shaka is a kind, polite, and friendly CEO. Sometimes it seems so easy going to its employees.
Know that Shaka from the outside does look flat, also clumsy. However, when he is touched, especially his 'belonging' in touch, Shaka will turn 180 degrees, and certainly will never let go of his prey just like that.
