"How's Mama doing?" shaka asked Selma.
The woman was moved to the hospital room an hour ago. Doctors say that Selma's condition is stable and better so that it can be moved to a regular inpatient room.
Selma had deep wounds on her forehead and her arm had several wounds from broken glass so it had to be sewn.
"It's better." Selma smiled. Then he remembered his daughter. "How's Jean doing, Shaka?"
Shaka patted the back of Selma's hand that was in his grasp. "Jean's condition is stable, Mama don't worry too much, yeah. Just focus on your recovery so you can meet Jean."
The tranquilizing remarks from Shaka did not make Selma calm at all. The woman still vividly remembered how her son had gotten so many injuries and fainted instantly.
"The wound, what about the wound? Mama remembers clearly how badly Jean was injured. Even the blood came out a lot." Selma started crying. Afraid something might happen to her son. She recalled how her husband used to be in a blood-soaked accident before her eyes. Really, Selma was very scared.
"The doctor has handled Jean very well. Mama calmed down, and kept praying for Jean to wake up, and recover, yeah." Shaka keeps trying to make Selma calm.
However, Selma, who had been traumatized by the past, cried while screaming.
Shaka panicked, he immediately pressed the emergency button to call the nurse.
"Mama, relax, Ma." Shaka holds Selma's shoulder.
Several nurses and a Male Doctor by the name-tag Zaki came. They immediately injected a sedative into Selma. It didn't take long for Selma to calm down and fall asleep. Then Doctor Zaki checked Selma's body condition.
"How's my Mom, Doc?" Shaka asked the Doctor.
"Mrs Selma was in severe shock. Did Miss Selma have trauma before?"
Does Mama Selma remember the late Mr Zian?
"He asked Jeannie's condition, which is currently in the ICU room. Then she cried hysterically." Shaka explained.
Doctor Zaki nodded. "alright. For now, don't overstate Miss Jeannie. If Mrs Selma asks what she is doing, calm her down and if she gets hysterical, push the emergency button like that."
"Okay, Doctor."
"I'm sorry."
"Thank you, Doctor."
Doctor Zaki smiled then passed from there along with the nurse.
Then Delvin came right after Doctor Zaki's departure.
"Boss."
Shaka sat back in the chair on the side of the gurney. "Do you have any information about Meinka?"
"Meinka is not a real name. It seems like a combination of someone's name because I didn't find someone named 'Meinka' in this country. The men also told that the women who freed them had the typical face of the west—"
"Like you?"
Delvin nodded doubtfully, "Yes, maybe."
"Continue."
"My men investigated it through the cctv where they met, and we found that the woman was living in a district not far from here." Delvin.
Shaka tapped his index finger on the knee. "The woman is not the mastermind. He's hiding behind Meinka's name."
"I think so too, Boss."
"You find out the woman until you find out who's behind it."
"Good, Boss."
Suddenly the door opened in a row with the arrival of someone.
"Mama!"
Eshan appeared with a messy appearance. Seeing the presence of Shaka and Delvin, hurriedly approached Shaka.
"Bang Shaka, how's Mama doing?"
"Your mother is in stable condition." Shaka.
Eshan glanced at Selma whose eyes were closed. "Is Mama unconscious?"
Shaka researched Eshan's messy appearance. This guy must be in a hurry.
"Aren't you in America?"
Eshan rubbed his face. "I flew right here when I heard Mama and Brother were in an accident. Oh, yeah how's my brother, Bang?"
Shaka patted Eshan's shoulder slowly. "You pray a lot for your brother, yes."
Eshan held Shaka's arm. "I want to see Brother."
Shaka. He looked at Delvin, "Vin, you keep him here until my mom comes. I'm going to Jeannie's room."
"Good, Boss."
...****************...
Shaka and Eshan are standing next to Jean's gurney. The two men looked at Jean with different expressions. Eshan's most obvious countenance was filled with sadness, to his two reddened eyes holding back tears. While Shaka who had already shed his sadness, was calmer and stronger.
"Bang Shaka, why is Brother Jean's hand and foot so big?" Eshan's voice trembled. His index pointed at Jean's casted feet and hands. "And his face why so many scratches?"
Shaka rubbed the head of Eshan who was shorter than him.
"How did it happen? Please tell me." Pinta Eshan looked at Shaka with a plea.
Shaka sighed softly. "Jean's brakes were broken when he got home from the boutique and then when he got to the red light, without being able to prevent your brother from breaking through it and resulting in colliding with another car from the opposite direction."
Eshan again rubbed his reddened face. The man did not shed his tears, but those red eyes proved a deep sadness.
Eshan loves Mama and Jean very much. He had already lost his father, the feeling of fear of losing again for the second time enveloped him until his body shook.
Shaka embraces Eshan's shoulder, trying to channel the calm. "Calm down. Your mother and sister will be fine. I even talked to your mama before she went to sleep."
"really?"
Shaka nodded, "Hm. Pray that they will recover and be healthy again."
"Yes, Bang Shaka."
...****************...
Shaka sits on the side seat of Jean's gurney. Eshan was out of this room five minutes ago, wanting to accompany Selma in her room, and Shaka accompanied Jean here. In silence and there is only the sound of the EKG.
"Jeannie, it's been two days you don't want to wake up, hm?" he said, holding Jean's palm.
As Shaka said, Jean's eyelids slowly opened. Clamming slowly. Shaka who saw that came closer.
"Jeannie." Call him and get closer to Jean.
"Jean?"
"Sha... Shaka.." Jean voiced with a stammer.
"Yes, I'm here."
"Shaka, my hands and feet hurt" said Jean softly with a frown that held the pain in her hands and feet.
Shaka kisses Jean on the forehead slowly, then presses the emergency button for the Doctor to come and check on the girl's condition.
"Hold, yeah. The doctor will be here soon."
The door opened, came Doctor Zaki and immediately checked Jean's condition.
"How are you feeling?" doctor Zaki asked Jean after checking her body condition.
"My legs and hands hurt a lot. My head is spinning" Jean said in a soft voice.
"Your condition has improved enough. For now don't think and do much" said Dr. Zaki, then turned to Shaka. "My advice, don't leave the patient alone because the patient needs someone to help him."
"Good, Doctor. I'll always be next to him."
Doctor Zaki patted Shaka on the shoulder, "If there's something emergency call me immediately."
