Delvin approached Shaka after closing the phone. Then whispered in Shaka's ear.
Shaka's eyes stared back sharply at the two men who were now in his custody. His steps approached them while sipping a cigarette and exhaling while removing smoke from his nose and mouth.
"You still remember what I said?"
The two men nodded, "Yes, Sir."
"If you're lying, what are you ready for?" Shaka asked repeating his words earlier.
"Prepared to die, sir" they said in unison.
"Good." Shaka flicked his finger. "I ask you once again, the woman who contacted you told me her own name, Meinka?"
"Yes, Sir. He told us his own name before we even asked."
"okay." Shaka threw away his cigarette butts and stepped on them.
"Back them underground. Torture them and feed them once a day." Shaka told the guards there.
"Master, Master! Please forgive me, sir forgive me."
"Master don't be like this. Please just kill me. Please don't torture me."
Shaka pulled the corner of his lips, smiling smirk. "Hey, my girl and her mother are still unconscious from the coma. How could I kill you all that easily? Didn't I say that you don't even deserve to live or die."
BRACKET
The seat of one of them fell down because of those who wanted to prostrate.
"Sir forgive me, Sir. Forgive me."
"You don't even deserve me to give mercy" Shaka said as he passed. Shaka suddenly stopped, turning to look at them with a smile. "Ah, yes. About your family, take it easy, I'll take good care of them" he said and walked away from there.
"Master! The master! Forgive me, Sir!"
Delvin approached them. "Do you know who he is?"
The two men looked down, not knowing.
"He is Arshaka Virendra Altair. The number one businessman in the country and including the ranks of powerful people in this country. You're wrong to dare touch hers."
They are getting more and more downcast feeling the deepest regret in their entire lives. They didn't even find out who the target was that they were about to touch. Stupid indeed, because their job is actually just thugs who like to disturb girls and also thieves. Those who are laymen in the crime of murder, only carry out their duties and earn money, no matter who the targets they will face.
"Pardon us, we were forced to accept this offer because the income was huge."
"No, you're not just tempted by his income. Tell me the truth."
"No. That's it, sir."
"Say, you will be free."
They were silent for a while to weigh in. Tempted by the word 'free' which was uttered by Delvin. Then they finally said, "True, we intend to take our revenge on Mr. Shaka for putting us in prison and not being able to find money for the needs of his wife and children at home."
Delvin silently snorted hearing that. Lucky there is no Shaka here, if there is of course these men will immediately die on the spot.
"Who got you out?"
"Miss Meinka." Answer them without hesitation.
Delvin nodded in understanding, "Alright, you'll be free."
They breathed, relieved.
"After your breath you are no longer left." Imbuh Delvin made them round his two eyes surprised, feeling he had been lied to. "A-What? Sir, you-"
***********
Shaka entered the ICU room wearing sterile clothing. Stunned looking at Jean in front of her eyes lay with a cast wrapped around her arms and legs.
He walked slowly, as if afraid of making the girl wake up from her slumber. His gaze stared at the girl's face fixedly. There was a slight scratch on his left cheek and forehead wrapped in bandages.
Shaka's hands were raised with trembling, touching Jean's skin as light as a feather, afraid that her girl's face would be hurt by her touch.
"Jeannie." Shaka's voice whispered to Jean.
"Mama Selma has just regained consciousness from her critical moment. You're gonna wake up quick, too, hm? I miss you."
Shaka's tears suddenly fell. To find a loved one lying helplessly anyone would feel immeasurable sadness.
They had just met and were about to have a wedding in a few days, he had not expected that there would be such a terrible event like this. Shaka began to blame himself, should he be present when fitting clothes, should he skip office to accompany his future wife, he said, she should have given strict guard given that Jean is the future wife of a great CEO given that anyone can try to hurt her family and relatives for the sake of dirty office politics.
Really, Shaka regrets that he did not know the exact reason this accident could happen. Is there a connection with him, or is there someone who grudges against his future wife.
Shaka cries, feeling deep regret remembering not being able to take good care of his future wife. The man felt he had been negligent even before Jean officially became his wife.
Do I deserve to be her future husband? I even neglected to look after my future wife.
Shaka looked down, kissed Jean's palm quietly and whispered, "Jeannie, I'm sorry."
...****************...
"To the two perpetrators we have arrested and locked up in a warehouse in the middle of the forest. Aside from having someone tell them, another reason they did so was out of revenge on the Boss who had put them in prison for the conditions of that night."
"You watch the two perpetrators, and open their mouths. Dig out the smallest information. And you keep an eye on Shaka, too, lest my son do anything out of bounds."
"Good, Sir."
Phone connection disconnected.
Outside the room, in front of the glass door, Gavi looked at his son who was crying over Jean's palm.
Gavi knows Shaka has a subtle feeling. His son, though, sometimes looks reckless and stupid, but he knows Shaka has a heart like Haisa that is easily touched.
Haisa educates her son so well that Shaka grows up to be someone with a good personality. Gavi is not ignorant of Shaka's other dark side. Delvin always reported to him what Shaka did if it was important to report to Gavi.
All this time Gavi just silenced and monitored everything behind. Sometimes he secretly helps to take care of the mess with Delvin's intervention so that his son doesn't get into trouble later on. Gavi let Shaka punish those who disturb him, as long as it is not outside the limits and is indeed worthy of being obtained by the perpetrator.
Suddenly the clap on his shoulder felt. Haisa herself there.
"How's Shaka doing?" ask Haisa.
"He was crying" said Gavi.
"Geez, she loves Jean so much, huh." Haisa stood beside Gavi while looking at Shaka from outside.
"Yes. Your son. Her feelings are as subtle as yours." Gavi grabbed Haisa's shoulder.
"Is my upbringing too much that her feelings are so subtle? Shaka never even looks angry, and always acts like a parcel. Very free-spirited."
Gavi smiled faintly at Haisa's words.
Yep. In front of the family, my son never looked angry. He is so good at hiding and holding his anger well.
"Let's try to comfort Shaka. It seemed like he was blaming himself so much that he made her cry like that."
