"Jeannie!"
The cry made Jean who was chatting with Haisa look surprised. The girl sat on the head of the bed.
Shaka with a slightly disheveled appearance of hair caught his attention.
Did this guy run away?
Shaka stepped up, approaching Jean with big strides. Directly hugged the girl's body tightly, forgetting that her girl's body was still heavily injured.
"Aakh..."
Shaka immediately let go of her embrace, waking up after hearing Jean grimace.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Where's that sick?" The man asked in panic while researching Jean's body.
Jean patted Shaka's palm on her arm, "It's okay..," Her hand pointed at Shaka's slightly messy hair. "..., you running?"
The man immediately tidied his hair, "Ah, Yes."
"Ecchem..."
Deheman someone made Shaka's attention diverted. He looked at the mother who was now behind him.
"Eh, Mommy." Shaka displayed his innocent grin staring at the mother who had forgotten about him.
"Where's Delvin?" haisa asked because she didn't see Delvin. He suspects Shaka brought his own car considering that his son was in a 'cruel' condition like he was losing his mind. Driving recklessly even though he had warned her, still Haisa did not fully believe in her son.
"He's outside."
Haisa sighed, relieved.
"Yes, I want to say goodbye first. Aidan was at home with your father. I'm afraid your father's wrong." Haisa told Shaka.
"Yes, Mom."
"Jean, Mom's saying goodbye, yeah. You're fine with this child." said Haisa farewell. Jean replied with a smile, "Yes, Mom. Careful, yeah."
"Mom's gonna take Delvin home. Poor kid's been working from morning till late like this ain't home yet." Haisa took out the car keys from her small bag. "This is if you want to go home."
Shaka received the key. "Be careful, Mom."
Haisa nodded, then passed from there. Jean and Shaka remained in silence.
Shaka approached Jean and sat down on the side of the empty gurney bed. His hands were raised, rubbing Jean's head. "Eat already?"
"It." He replied, then he suddenly remembered that today should be his wedding day. "God..."
"Hm?"
"Today..." Jean said hanging.
Shaka smiled understanding what Jean was going to say. "It's okay."
"But invitation and—"
As fast as lightning, Shaka landed his lips on Jean's lips. Chew with affection. "It's okay, Jean. We can get married anytime."
Jean fell silent. It was still in his surprise after his lips came into contact with Shaka's lips.
His face turned red and realized his first kiss was taken by Shaka. The man who should have been her husband today. Recalling that, Jean's face dimmed. Everything about the wedding is almost done, there must be a lot of losses, not to mention it is possible that the two parents Shaka will be angry or upset because of this supposed wedding, it did not happen and suffered heavy losses due to his carelessness.
Seeing the look on Jean's face dimming, Shaka thought a no-no. Does this girl not like her lips she kissed?
"Shaka, I'm sorry that my marriage must fail. Both of your parents must be mad or upset because of me, huh?" Said Jean quietly with her head down.
Hearing Jean's words, Shaka shook his head slowly. "Not at all. Was my mom scolding you?"
Jean raised her head, looking into Shaka's two eyes which were only five centi apart.
"No. But loss—"
Shaka pressed his face forward, putting his lips on Jean's lips. This time the man not only glued it, but also moved it slowly. Swiping the upper and lower lips alternately.
Jean, who had been shocked again, now closed her eyes. Letting Shaka do anything with her lips. The man seemed to be pouring all his feelings on his girl through his kiss this time. So soft and careful.
Shaka moved his face away, sticking his forehead with Jean's forehead. "Don't think too much. Focus on your healing. Loss or whatever it is is nothing compared to your safety and health."
Hearing Shaka's words makes Jean touch. He recalls the moment he and Selma were trapped in a car whose brakes were broken. How terrible the situation was.
Jean's eyes ached, her tears burst out. Jean wrapped one arm around Shaka's neck. Hugged the man and drowned his face at the intersection of his neck and shoulders.
Shaka stroked Jean's back gently. Surprised to hear the girl. "Something sick, hm?"
Jean shook her head in Shaka's arms. "I want to see Mama."
"Later, yeah. Mama Selma's condition has not fully recovered."
"Hm."
The swab on Jean's back still keeps Shaka doing. Calm the girl gently.
...****************...
In one of the wards of a mental hospital in the city, there was a woman sitting on a gurney with a doll in her arms. Just like the baby's cuddling.
Ola was not far from there. Looking at the person who used to be very close to him like a stamp, suddenly lost his sanity when he met him after a long time.
Karen was there with a pretty miserable appearance, thin body like not taken care of, lost her sanity when she experienced something so terrible that depression and her soul was not as healthy as it used to be.
Karen is a beautiful woman, tall, tall. The typical face of a middle eastern person makes it look very prominent. Surely anyone man will surely be fascinated with her because of the beauty she has.
Unfortunately, her beauty did not make her so lucky, she had to endure heartbreaking tragedies over the past few years at the hands of her own husband.
Ola who remembered that, shed her tears again. His fists tightened to see Karen holding a female-looking doll very gently and carefully like a real human baby.
"Ola, you've come. Look, my son is calm. He's so funny, isn't he? She was cranky all night and couldn't sleep." Karen said with a happy face. It was as if he was the happiest man on earth because he had made his son stop crying.
Ola responded with a smile. She approached Karen, "You've eaten?"
"It." Karen replied indifferently, with the gaze still pointing at the doll in her carry. "I fed him before he fell asleep. Look, now he's asleep soundly."
Tears trickled back in Ola's eye patch seeing that Karen's condition did not improve after being treated here after a few months.
"Why are you crying? Don't cry out loud, yeah. My son will wake up." Karen said in a soft tone almost whispered.
Ola nodded, immediately wiping away the tears that soaked her cheeks with a feeling of sadness and guilt. If only his relationship with Karen had not been tenuous two years ago resulted in him moving to another city, surely they would still live and spend time together. There would be no horrible incident happening to Karen because there was her by her side.
Given all of that, Ola gets angry again. The feeling of hate again gnawed at his heart.
Karen, I'm going to avenge you on that man. That man must suffer beyond your suffering now.
