The Real

In Bogor, in the old Anjani house. A house that is not so big but beautiful. Guava and rambutan trees, growing lush in front and side of the house. There is also a mango tree at the back of the house, close to a small fish pond that is not well maintained.

Yesterday, when Anjani was in Jakarta, his house was guarded by distant relatives, whose house was in the next alley. So, the house is empty and only cleaned twice a week.

Anjani goes into the house. He looks around. The same room as the one before. The layout of all the items is still the same. He approached the table in the corner of the living room, where the photos of his father and mother were.

Simple room, with a simple bed. There are no king-size beds, like the one at his home in Jakarta yesterday. The tables and cabinets too, were only made of simple teak wood, there was no such luxurious furniture that the Eagle had provided for him, in the house he had left behind.

Anjani knows if the house is for her. The letters of the house are complete, handed over by the Eagle himself to him. But, yesterday, when he came home to Bogor, he put the letter on the room table. The keys of the house, he left it to the aunt of the maid in his house, to be handed over to the Eagle, when he returned from the hospital.

"Ah, it feels relieved after all is done. I can start a new life" Jani said in her heart. He closed his eyes and tried to sleep first, to rest his tired body, during the trip from Jakarta to Bogor.

Anjani squirms, when he hears the vibration of the mobile phone on the table. But he didn't wake up either.

The phone is back vibrating. Anjani finally woke up, and checked her phone.

"Mama Amel." Anjani, spelling the name printed on his phone screen.

..."Hello Ma."...

..."Yes Ma. Jani just arrived and fell asleep in this room."...

..."Ah, thank goodness. Mama's worried, you go and don't tell Mama. This is Mama tofu from Abhimanyu."...
