IVORY
5 YEARS LATER.
On a small island far from the capital, a little boy named Gading runs. The little boy was very fond of collecting the shells of clams that looked unique in his eyes.
"Mother, I got a unique shell!" Calling Ivory to Merta.
"Well, nice shell! Are you going to keep it as your collection?" Ask Merta on Ivory which she born 4 years ago.
"Yes! This is my 20th collection." Ivory Sahut while showing 10 fingers and toes.
"Well, Ivory is good at counting!" Merta was happy.
"of course! Grandpa Pandi said, I have to be a smart kid. If one day I grow up there will be a lot of girls chasing me because I'm smart. Hehe." Ivory Sahut full of confidence.
"Well, that's the goal!" Merta muttered with a sigh looking at her son's silly behavior.
"Let's go home! Grandma Maya must have finished cooking." Merta said she was taking her son home.
"Did Maya's grandmother cook me some beef rib soup today?" Tanya Ivory enthusiastically.
"Yes!" Merta Sahut.
Ivory immediately ran fast leaving Merta who was dumbfounded to see it. Ivory can't wait to eat his favorite food.
"Oh my God, that kid really likes beef rib soup!" Merta muttered with her head.
Saying beef rib soup, Merta recalled to Geof who also liked the food. A feeling of sadness erupted within the recesses of Merta's heart at that moment. It is undeniable that Merta still cannot forget her feelings for Geof who has been separated from her for five years.
"How could I possibly forget Geof? Their faces and favorite foods are exactly the same!" Merta muttered again as she continued walking towards the simple house that was now her residence all along.
Merta entered the house and saw Pandi was busy weaving a net that he would use to net fish in the sea. Pandi is a cousin of Maya and also her mother Merta. Pandi's age is not much different from Maya. Pandi was once married, but because of his difficult life he had to divorce his wife first. Before the arrival of Merta and Maya, the life of Pandi was very quiet. He just lives alone in that house. But after their arrival and also the birth of Ivory, the life of Pandi became more colorful.
Merta sat next to Pandi who she had considered like her own father. Merta helped him to tidy up the nets that were ready to use.
"Uncle, take a break! You look so tired." Merta said to Pandi.
"I'm old, I'm sure I'll get tired easily." His mouth while smiling.
Then Ivory came to Pandi and sat on his lap. Ivory is used to spoiling him.
"Grandfather, let's eat! I'm hungry." Take Ivory already impatiently want to eat Maya-made beef rib soup.
"All right! My granddaughter is hungry. Haha." Sahut Pandi held Gading and walked to the dining room.
They sat together at a dining table made of simple wood. Merta and Maya are busy giving rice to Ivory plates and also Pandi. Pandi looked at Maya who put rice on her plate.
"Maya, I think the more days you look pretty!" The word Pandi teases Maya like every day.
"Huh, I'm tired of hearing you always tease me!" Maya Sahut.
"I'm serious!" Said Pandi again.
"Grandpa flirtatious!" Sahut Gading laughed while covering his mouth.
"Hey, would you agree if I married Maya's grandmother? Hehe." Kata Pandi nudged the arm of Ivory sitting beside him.
"of course! So that Pandi's grandfather and Maya's grandmother are not lonely anymore." Ivory with innocence.
"Hey, Maya! We've even got the blessing of ivory." Pandi again with a cry.
"You and Ivory are the same!" Mayan Sahut shy.
"Married! Married! Married!" The word Merta encourages Pandi and Maya.
"Hey, quiet!" Maya looks shy.
"Hehehe, Maya's grandmother is flirtatious too! Grandma Maya is shy." I looked at Maya.
Merta gave the code to Pandi to immediately apply Maya directly. For several years now, Merta knew that Pandi and Maya liked each other. But because they feel they have a cousin relationship, they prefer to harbor their respective feelings.
"Uncle, after this give me the ring! Lamar aunty Maya." Whisper Merta on Pandi.
"Sip!" Sahut Pandi gave his thumb.
After finishing lunch, Merta brought Ivory to take a nap. The hot weather around the beach is usually felt. Merta stroked Ivory's back to put him to sleep.
"Mother, why don't I have a father like my friends?" Tanya Gading makes Merta's mind tormented.
"Hey, sleep! You'll be playing with your friends later in the afternoon, right?" Merta said turning Ivory's question to her.
"Yes fine! Mother always diverts the conversation when she can't answer questions from me!" Sahut Gading so brightly.
"If you know, why are you still asking, huh?" Merta was upset with her son.
"I'm just testing your patience!" Ivory again.
"Well, you're talking like an adult!" Merta said she was eager to pinch her son's cheek.
"Mother, after I turn 5, I'll be transformed into a grown man." The word Ivory originally spoke.

Merta clinched her son's head because she was impatient to face her son's ridiculous attitude.
"Sleep! You talk too much." Said Merta on Ivory which made it auto silent.
Seeing her son asleep, Merta snared her way out of the Ivory Room. Merta saw Pandi crying in the corner of the middle room. Panicked and approached him.
"Uncle, why? Why crying?" Tanya Merta panicked to Pandi.
"I'm so excited because I'm getting married again!" Sahut Pandi in his sobs.
"You mean, Uncle wants to marry Aunt Maya?" Ask Merta again.
Pandi nodded as he inhaled the snot flowing down his nose. Merta tepok jidat saw Pandi who was so moved because Maya agreed to marry him. Then suddenly Pandi pinched Merta so Merta thanked him hard.
"Aarrgghhhh! Why did uncle pinch me?" Shouted Merta in pain.
"I just want to make sure I'm not dreaming! Hehe." The word Pandi cengengesan.
"Huh, you crazy bastard!" Merta muttered his blue arm because of Pandi's pinch.
"When are you getting married?" Ask Merta to Pandi.
"Next week!" Seru Pandi excited.
"What's? That fast?" Shouted Merta surprised.
"Yes!" Pandi Sahut.
"Hehehe, I didn't think it turned out that my uncle and aunt couldn't wait to sleep in bed together." Said Merta seducing Pandi.
"Hehehe, I have to take some medicinal herbs in order to be strong later!" Sahut Pandi excited.
"Wow, he's so excited!" Merta muttered in her heart to see Pandi so happy to be married to Maya.
A week later, in the morning Merta dressed Maya on the wedding day in a simple manner. Residents around their homes also helped make the wedding event held suddenly. Pandi uses traditional batik clothes that make it look neat. While Maya uses kebaya clothes that make Pandi's eyes do not blink when looking at Maya.
When Pandi and Maya are about to do a wedding contract, Ivory suddenly asks Merta who is sitting next to him.
"Mother! When will you get married?" Ask Ivory.
"Hehehe, I don't know!" Merta laughed awkwardly.
"Why do you realize, why are you married so long?" Ask Ivory.
"To... why?" Tanya Merta was confused.
"Because you're too picky!" Answer Ivory innocently.
"So many young people on this island are crazy about your mother, but none of you choose to be your lover!" Connect Ivory again.
"You..you know that?" Tanya Merta was surprised.
"of course! I'm secretly a spy, mother. Hehe." Sahut Ivory cengengesan.
"Huh, you son of a bitch!" Merta sewot.
"Mother, pick one among all the lads here!" Ivory.
"No!" Merta Sahut.
"Why?" Tanya Ivory with very curious eyes.
"The hell should I tell him that I still love the man who laid seeds on me five years ago?" Merta muttered in her heart.
Ivory was still staring at Merta's face who was reluctant to return her gaze. Suddenly Ivory and Merta were shocked when the pak penghulu and some witnesses called for a legitimate word on the marriage of Pandi and Maya.
"Eh, is it legal?" Tanya Merta was confused.
"That's it! Mother anyway, just daydream." Sahut Ivory.

The residents enlivened the wedding event by singing together. They provide a single organ to be entertainment at the event. Many residents around who sang enliven the wedding. Merta who likes to sing does not want to miss. He stood near the person playing the single organ and began to sing a song. The young men who were pursuing Merta's love, looked at her with sparkling eyes. Ivory watches all the young men who pursue the love of his mother.
"Hehehe, I must find a good and rich man to be my father! I won't let you marry a man who isn't clear about his future!" Ivory murmur in his heart.
Merta continued to sing with her voice so sweet. Merta's melodious voice was heard by a woman who happened to be a tourist on the island. The woman was named Shafa and she lived in a town not far from the small island. Shafa has a cafe that almost went bankrupt because of the lack of visitors.
"The sound is sweet!" Shafa murmured to hear Merta's singing voice.
Shafa approaches the wedding, and sees Merta singing.
"She's a beautiful woman too! My cafe will be a lot of visitors if she becomes the singer." Shafa murmured again.
After the event was over, Shafa approached Merta who was cleaning the front yard of the house. Shafa intends to offer a job to Merta.
"Hi, can I talk to you for a second?" Sapa Shafa was friendly.
"Yes, of course!" Merta is also friendly.
Shafa invites Merta to chat first so that the two of them know each other closely. After feeling familiar, Shafa also said his intention to Merta.
"Thus, I hear your voice is so sweet!" Shafa.
"Ah, you're too complimentary!" Merta Sahut.
"I'm serious! Do you want to be a singer in my cafe?" Ask Shafa.
"Pe... singer?" Merta was surprised.
"Yes! I have a cafe in the city not far from the island. My cafe was almost bankrupt because of the lack of customers. I intend to make you a singer in my cafe, who knows my cafe will be crowded visitors if you become a singer there. Of course I'll pay for that voice." Shafa.
"Oh yes!" Merta Sahut.
"I'm not forcing you! But think about my offer first. If you agree, call me." Shafa.
"This is my business card and my address and my cell phone number." Said Shafa again.
Merta took the business card and kept it.
"All right! I'll go back to the resort first, because I'll be back in the morning." Shafa said to leave.
"If you agree, give me a call, Merta!" Shafa exclaimed as he waved his hand at Merta.
Merta returned a wave of Shafa's hand that looked just as good to her. Then Merta stared at the business card Shafa gave her. Merta entered the house and kept the business card.

A few days later, Merta saw the total balance in her account book. He seemed to think at the time.
"My savings money is a little! I can't possibly be a burden to Uncle Pandi. Ivory will be in school soon. If I don't work, I won't be able to finance Ivory later." Merta seemed to think.
She soon remembered the business card Shafa had given her. He also recalled a few days ago that Shafa had offered him a job. Merta can not make her own decision. He went to see Pandi and Maya to talk about it.
"Tante, uncle! There's something I want to talk about." Merta.
"Yes, just say it!" Pandi Sahut.
"I want to work in the city! Someone offered me a job." Merta.
"What job?" Ask Maya.
"Being a singer in a cafe." Merta Sahut.
"Why do you want to work? I can support your needs and Ivory here." Pandi.
"But uncle, I can't be a burden to you! Anyway I want Ivory to get a good education in the city." Merta.
"But when you're in town, where are you going to live?" Ask Maya.
"I'll think about it! I'll call my friend." Merta Sahut.
Merta contacted Shafa who was in his cafe. After talking on the phone, Merta returned to meet Pandi and Maya.
"Tante, that friend of mine has a simple apartment in town! For a while I and Ivory will stay there." Merta told Maya.
"I'm worried about you, son!" Maya wiped Merta's face.
"Tante, the distance of the city and the island is not too far away. If there's a time it'll be visiting you often." Merta.
"Well, if that's your decision!" Maya Sahut.
The night before going to bed, Merta talked to her son. He said that in a few days they would move to the city and settle there. Ivory was so enthusiastic to hear that they were about to move. But after knowing that Pandi and Maya did not move, he became sad. Ivory seemed not to want to be far from the person he had been calling his grandfather and grandmother.
