I'm Going and I'm Back

The sky is clear, without clouds.

I looked up at the sky, wanting to pour out all these feelings. Tears have dried up, but the heart is still crying. This ruined me, destroyed united with the ground…

The first thing I think is the sunlight that wakes me up. Where's mommy? That's the biggest question in my mind. I need my body to walk, I need to live.

Maybe it's too early to stop, but I'm tired. Come on, you just came, why do you want to come back so soon? My inner. I continued, but soon I stopped again. I have reached the highest point, help is sure to come.

I smell the scent of a human approaching me. A little boy came to get me. I had thought that this was the end of my world, but this girl took me and put me in a comfortable place. Not only that, he also gave me dry food.

He smiled at me. “Tear down little pigeon, I'll take care of you.” He said while stroking my fur. In that moment, I felt happy. I have hope and a new life. “Now, I'll give you your name White. Your name's White! You like it, right?” Ask the girl. I agree, it's a good name. A name that describes me very well.

My condition is recovering, I have also been able to fly. I promised to serve my little mother, that girl. I will take care of him, both sleeping and awake. The area where we live is not safe, there is a lot of unrest in the border area. Even so, my guts will not be shrunk to take care of my mother.

The morning was so warm, I was basking on the tent of the little girl. I let my fur get exposed to the heat of the sun, it's really fun.

“White! White!” A very familiar call, my little mother called. I immediately headed to the small garden, where the girl seemed to notice something. I perched on his shoulder and saw something amazing.

A small dove that looks so haggard and weak.

My mom stroked my fur. “I found it near here. We have to help him, he's going to die.” His word. I agreed, I was willing to share food with her, share a bed with her, even I was willing to share this little girl's affection with her. He was named Salla and I think it's a good name even if it's not so good.

“Go, brother. I'll take good care of mom, sister don't have to worry.” Salla. I still doubt. “I don't want to be away from you guys, for me you guys are everything.” I looked at Salla, he was nice but I wanted to be here.

“Kak, for my sake and mother's sake, go.” That sentence made my heart melt. I'm going to go, even if it feels so heavy. The birds from the north came, I said goodbye to them and flew with them.

Not long ago, I left my hometown. Luckily, summer is coming and I will be back. The birds returned. I looked down, there my house. Immediately I say goodbye to the company and go down. I landed my feet on the ground, looking for my mother. Across the street, I saw a figure I really knew. Him, mother. Accidentally, he turned his head and our gaze met.

“White.” Sluggishly. Her tears were dripping, she never changed her face I can still recognize.

“White. That you?” He said he didn't believe. He ran towards me and I immediately flew towards him.

“White! Aaah!” The sound of the scream was in unison with something grabbing my wings and pulling me away. I saw who was holding me back and I was really surprised. “Salla! What do you mean?!” My screams are angry, has Salla hated me. He pulled me into a tree. “Thank you to me!” Salla was upset. I'm confused, I don't understand. “For what?” Salla sighed. “I have saved you. Know it? There is a food crisis here. Every time an animal is seen by a resident, they'll catch it. Mom asked me to hide here.” Salla's story is long. I was crying, I really missed him.

Salla felt bad. “Mother always visits if there is a chance.” Salla said to comfort me. I'm sure, but the truth is not.

The little girl did not visit us anymore and Salla made a decision: We have to move.

I flapped my wings and flew away from the place. I can't cry, I turn my head and look one last time.

I came and I've gone, I miss you.
