Chapter 66. Back To the City

Neither Arion nor Rusdi knew what else to say. Both feel guilty for participating in the marriage of Karen and her biological father.

Rusdi's remorse for never wanting to know about his wife's past. Rusdi was too sure that the past would no longer exist. While Arion is so sorry for being taken revenge. He never wanted to investigate what caused Novi to decide to marry Rusdi.

Arion still wants to know what happens with Novi next after he leaves. The regret made his heart ache. Can't imagine the man, the woman he loved had to be ashamed alone, but it was also his fault.

"Continue! Just tell me what you know and what happened when Novi got pregnant and finally decided to marry you!" arion said with a slightly raucous voice. It was all because he held tightness in his chest. If only he had not been afraid of embarrassment, perhaps the man had cried and cried out for his stupidity.

They agreed they would run the household. Karen was recognized by Rusdi as her biological daughter. No one knows if he's not Karen's biological father.

"So Karen doesn't even know you're not her biological father?" ask Arion. He did not know what feeling he was feeling right now. The guilt on her made Arion want to curse herself.

Arion took a deep breath. Rubbing a rough face to relieve pain in the heart.

Arion remembers punishing Karen in the village until she committed suicide. If his life had not been saved, Arion would have never forgiven himself.

"How do I get Karen to know that I'm her real father. Thankful we did nothing during the wedding" Arion said softly.

"I hope you say it slowly. So that later he will not be surprised. Poor boy, I as a father can not give luxury. Although he said happy, but I still feel less," said Rusdi.

She recalled how Karen who after school had to help herself sell at the stall. Rusdi and Novi's income only comes from opening small food stalls.
