Chapter 43. Karen's Health

Rico stood by the big window in the room where Karen was being cared for. The glass window stretched from the roof to the floor displaying a view of the city she had witnessed from the hospital room floor where her lover lay.

"Darling, I don't know what to say. For sure I can only give infinite thanks to God for your healing. I also want to thank you for staying with me" Rico said in a sobbing voice.

Karen stretched out her hand slowly and wiped the tears of the man she also loved deeply. Karen did not expect to see Rico again.

As she is taken to the village and locked up, Karen thinks she will never see Rico again. That was the end of her decision to commit suicide.

"Don't cry ...," said Karen softly. It seems to be adjusting.
