Two white men came to the residence Tumenggung Wirya. They brought with them two policemen; both indigenous, and the headmaster of the ELS school to hold the man accountable for what Bunga had done to their sons at school.
Of course it makes Tumenggung Wirya and Ratih surprised. Both of them do not believe, their only daughter is capable of persecution of her schoolmates.
After hours of long debate, it was finally agreed that the Flower would be closed for one week, and Tumenggung Wirya got a hard warning letter, if such a thing happened again, he said, then his position as regent will be removed with disrespect.
Apparently, the two white men had important posts in the Semarang city government.
Wirya's murk. In front of the Flower, the man kicked the table violently. Ratih tried to calm her down by stroking her husband's back, and gestured for Bunga to enter her room.
"Why the kid, Mom?" Tumenggung Wirya set his breath hunting. "He's a girl. Why do you do that?"
"I've talked to Bunga. He beat up those two kids to defend his friend."
"Oh, you wanna be a hero." Tumenggung Wirya shook his head. "Give your son the understanding not to cause any more trouble. My department's at stake. It's gonna be very detrimental." What he was talking about was a secret plan that he was putting together with his confidants. He needs this position to build strength from within.
"Yes, sir." Ratih. She understood what her husband was thinking. The woman resigned to meet the princess who was in the room.
Train to walk closer to the Flower that is lying on the amben. He sat on the edge and touched the princess's arm.
"I'm sorry, Mom," said Bunga.
Trained to smile her. "It's okay, Bunga. I don't blame your actions. You've done the right thing. But ...." He paused his speech. "You have to think about the consequences. Father's office is threatened, and our safety is also threatened."
"The two Dutch boys called me a native dog, ma'am. I hate."
"Yes, yes, I know, Flowers. Sometimes we are silent, but not because we agree, or lose. There will be time, Bunga. There will be time to fight them. Youunderstand?" Ratih rubbed the head of the soft Flower.
Flowers nod. Although his heart was still filled with resentment every time he remembered the two children calling out to him with the words he hated the most.
"Ndoro, there's a boy looking for flowers." Mbok Pai spoke from the doorway of the room. "Friends of Flower school" he added.
Flowers instantly rose from its bed. "Jacob?" ask the maid.
Mbok Pai nodded. He looked at Ratih timidly. She was worried that she did not like the news.
"Mom, I'm going to see Jacob" said Bunga.
"Mr is still home?" ask Ratih to Mbok Pai. After Tumenggung Wirya asked her to talk to Bunga, her husband said he would go to the office. Patricia hopes he is gone. If not, the arrival of schoolmates Flower it will make the situation more runyam.
"It's gone, Ndoro."
On the porch of the house, Bunga saw Jacob sitting on a rattan chair. Not far from him, stood a mature brown-skinned man in KNIL army uniform; the Dutch army consisting of indigenous people. Apparently, he was the personal bodyguard of the Janssen family.
"You miss me, don't you?" kekeh Bunga while taking a seat beside Jacob.
The boy is tickling. "No. Just one day you're not in school."
"Then why did you come here?"
"I just want to make sure you're okay. The news at school sounds really bad. Is it true your father was fired?" Guilt on Jacob's face. However, the incident was related to him. If anything happens to the Flower family, then he will not forgive himself.
Flowers shudder. "Say Mom, you're not fired. But, given a warning."
Jacob nodded. Her lips form the letter O. "Thank God" he said later.
"When are you going to school again?" ask Jacob.
"One more week."
"So you can't get out of the house that long?"
Flowers are shaking slowly. His face looks grim. Jacob too. The next week will be the most boring days without the presence of Flowers.
"Can I come here every day?" ask Jacob with a cramped face.
"Mmmm ...." Flowers are not sure they will answer yes. It just so happened that his father was not home. He doesn't know if Jacob will be allowed to come if there is a father.
"No, yeah?"
Flowers spread shoulders. "Maybe you can't." He glanced at the KNIL soldiers escorting Jacob. "You brought a bodyguard here, if he reports to your father, how about it?" whispers in Jacob's ear.
"Niets. Hij is te vertrouwen (No. He can be trusted)."
Flower grimaces. An idea in his head. "Tomorrow we swim in the river."
Jacob's eyes were rounded. "Really?" his tanyanya made sure, greeted with a steady nod of Flowers. Although he has not thought about how to get out of the house, while he is still in his father's house arrest.
