ELIZABETH SWAN'S

ELIZABETH SWAN'S
Chapter 26 - Investigating Serpens Umbra (1)

At Elizabeth's behest, Raymond begins to find out who is behind Elizabeth's destruction.

"The mastermind behind this must not be an ordinary person" Raymond said from behind his desk.

"I agree with you, sir. Most likely the mastermind of this was all a noble. Because even though so many ordinary people do not like Lady Elizabeth, it is impossible to think they do anything that far. Especially to know the details of the day and destination of the delivery of the goods" said the chairman of the Knights Shadow, Tristan.

"You're right, this incident can't be said just because of a prankster." said Raymond, "Try investigating Serpens Umbra first. If it was a noble who became his mastermind, he would definitely ask them for help so as not to need to dirty their own hands." he said.

Tristan nodded, ready to carry out his master's orders and immediately went towards the headquarters of his gathering place of the Serpens Umbra.

Serpens Umbra is the name of an organization that becomes a hotbed for cold-hearted ruthless people with one common goal. That is to produce as many art coffers as possible in any way.

Doing illegal or criminal acts is no longer a taboo for Serpens Umbra, it is precisely their expertise. In addition to committing crimes they also provide information services that not just anyone knows, but of course all that there is a price.

From the rumors circulating the founder of Serpens Umbra himself is someone with a high position so they do not have a fear of committing crimes.

But that is still not clear, because the chairman Serpens Umbra who is always in the headquarters is only an ordinary people with a strong face and sturdy body.

Tristan and one of his men entered a liquor store among the lower classes. There were only thugs and gamblers in that place.

"Who are you?! What makes a beautiful man like you come to our place?" ask one of the men with a rogue face to Tristan.

Tristan still put on his cold face, he was completely unprovoked by the man's speech before him.

"I want to meet the chairman of Serpens Umbra" he said as he threw a piece of gold coin.

Suddenly the attitude of the people who originally laughed at him became disinclined.

"Please, follow me" said the man with the roar's face.

Without much ado Tristan and his men followed the man behind his back.

Geck! Geck!

Kriet~

"Boss, someone's looking for you" Serpens Umbra told the man who appeared to be the leader of the organization.

"Can you show your face before you say your purpose here?" said the leader Serpens Umbra.

Without asking Tristan did what the man who was sucking the cigar asked him to do.

"Ahh, like this is the first time you come here, because I always remember every face of the person I helped" he said, "Include my name Martinez, the leader of Serpens Umbra's children. What's your name?"

"Trevor." she replied briefly.

"Hmm, Trevor huh? Sorry if I was presumptuous, but I know when you step through the door of this store you automatically also leave your real identity outside the door, so even if you are a noble I will not treat you politely in my territory all the same. If you object to that rule you can get out of this place right now" Martinez said.

In addition to cruel they are also famous for being arrogant and arrogant because they feel that their services are needed by some nobles.

Martinez lifted one end of his lips, "I'm glad you can quickly read the situation well. So what do you need to find me?" ask her.

"I just need some information" Tristan said.

"Hmm, information huh? One question you ask needs at least one piece of gold so I can answer it" Martinez said.

Tristan threw a bag of fifty gold pieces on Martinez's table.

Martinez laughed, "I really like men like you. Please ask any questions." said his joy.

"Did Serpens Umbra participate in the destruction of Lady Elizabeth's property to be sent to her Romag?" ask Tristan.

"Yes." answered Martinez quickly.

"What is the one who asked you for help from the nobility?" ask Tristan again.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Who is that guy?"

Martinez swung his cigar to the right and to the left, "That question is forbidden, Trevor. We cannot divulge the identity of our customers to other customers in order to avoid revenge that will harm us later." Martinez explained.

"Then I just want to know her gender" Tristan said.

"It can't either" Martinez said.

"So that's where you can give me information? Ck, I'm sorry I gave you a bag full of gold" Tristan said with a flat face.

Martinez laughed, "I'm sorry, but what I've got in my hands is irrevocable" he said.

Tristan is perfect for being Raymond's right-hand man who is easy to ride. At times like this if only Raymond who went down alone to the field, Tristan was very sure if his master would immediately slash the head of all the members of Serpens Umbra in this room.

But fortunately Tristan was different, the man was always level-headed like his face. By putting emotion first he knew that all his things would be in vain. Killing these cunning people was tantamount to eliminating information and living evidence.

"Then be well. But there's one thing I want from you, Martinez" Tristan said.

"What's that?"

"I want to spend my night here enjoying a few beers, but I don't intend to pay because all the art I brought has been given to you" Tristan said.

Martinez chuckled, he really liked that guy named Trevor, "Sure, sure.. Please make yourself and your friends comfortable in our shop. But don't ask for more than ten glasses, okay?" her word.

Tristan nodded then immediately walked out of the room led by Serpens Umbra.

His subordinate who had just been silent suddenly brought himself closer to the body of the Shadow Knight chief, "Why did you even invite me to drink instead of investigating more deeply about the mastermind of the incident? What if you know? He will definitely slash our heads right then and there" he said worriedly.

Tristan continued to look straight ahead, "Shut up and just follow me. If Martinez doesn't give me the information I want, at least his drunken subordinates who gamble there will do it for a piece of gold" Tristan said.

"You told Martinez that you don't have any more gold coins. So you lied??!" ask Tristan.

Tristan glanced at his subordinate with a murderous gaze as terrifying as Raymond's, "If you continue to speak loudly like that, it's not the master who will slash your head but me." her word.

Gluey!

Instantly the man closed his mouth tightly while holding his neck.
