ELIZABETH SWAN'S

ELIZABETH SWAN'S
Chapter 11 - Embracing the Enemy

In the western part of the Alexandria Empire there were only a few noble families. Unlike in other parts, the area where most of its inhabitants worked as farmers and ranchers was rarely noticed by the Emperor.

But if you look carefully it is precisely the western region itself is the true power of the Alexandria Empire. Good and abundant crops, healthy and well-maintained livestock, all the hard work of farmers and ranchers who have worked hard.

Elizabeth imagined a strategy that could make her business develop in the region that is considered one-sided by the nobles. Elizabeth offers an installment system for ordinary people who want to buy jewelry. With low interest and long installment tempo. Not to forget he also educated people about how important it is to invest in jewelry that has an inflation value.

"Elly, I don't know if it turns out you are very talented in business and looking for profit" said Count Swan after listening to all the plans of his beloved daughter.

Elizabeth showed a hint of arrogance on her face, "Of course, it's all because my father's blood runs through my body" she said to please the Count.

Hearing Elizabeth's words, the Count's head was like a balloon that was about to erupt at any moment, "Hohoho... Indeed genius is derivative, derivative!" his laughter blared.

"So, how? Dad's gonna give me capital, right?"

"How much does this Elly dad need? I'll give you as much as you ask."

Elizabeth's wide, light-green eyes sparkled, as bright as the sun this morning, "Thank you, father... Dad is the best!" said excitement.

After receiving some capital from her father, Elizabeth wrote a letter to Edgar to discuss the western shops she had neglected for years.

Edgar initially underestimated a young girl who had just set foot in the business world, Elizabeth, and replied to his letter was limited to politeness.

"What is true?! I want my money back!"

"Can't, sir. Items that have been purchased cannot be returned unless you sell them but of course there are discounts and administrative costs."

The commotion in the jewelry store made people huddle to find out what the noble man and the store employee were arguing about.

"Good day, sir. I am Edgar Fosberg owner of this shop, please sit down let's talk about this comfortably" said the middle-aged man who exuded the aura of nobility on his customers.

"I don't have to sit down! I just want my money back!" screech the man.

"Then can you explain what has disappointed you like this with our jewelry?" asked Edgar in a polite tone.

"I am a regular customer in this store but I could have been cheated! I ordered a ring with a blue saffire gem but what you sent was a fake like this?!" the man threw a small box containing a black saffire-eyed ring on the floor.

A girl picked up the box then opened it, "You're not fooled, sir. It's both saffire just black." the girl's light is none other than Elizabeth.

Edgar, the shop employee and the noble man turned to Elizabeth, "Miss, you must have conspired with them to deceive me right? Don't waste your time, because I won't believe it!" said the man.

"Formerly introduce, my name is Elizabeth Swan. And I dare to guarantee if this is a real saffire gem. Not because I conspired with the owner of this store, but because I myself am also a collector of precious stones. Your cufflink eye is Summer Apples, an emerald-type gemstone. Seeing from the luster you've worn the cufflink more than 10 times, it's time for you to wash it so that the luster returns" said Elizabeth at length.

"Of course, sir. Expensive things should be treated special, right? I will share the secret of caring for precious stones with you, so that you can take care of them yourself at home" Elizabeth said.

"Ha, there's gotta be a fee, right?"

"No, I'll share it for free. Each precious stone has its own way of care, there are even those that should not be washed."

The man listened to every word that came out of Elizabeth's mouth intently, not wanting to be missed by a single word. He put on his serious face while nodding occasionally.

"Then, if you shine this black saffire with the sun," Elizabeth carried the ring with the black saffire out of the shop to get the sun, "it was clear that the sparkle was in her. Isn't this like the night sky filled with stars?" elizabeth.

The man took his ring from Elizabeth's hand, and now he's watching it closely.

As soon as the customer left with a happy heart, Edgar who was surprised by Elizabeth's knowledge of precious stones began to assume the existence of the girl who was originally viewed with one eye by her.

"Thank you, Lady Elizabeth. Because of your help I did not suffer any material or immaterial losses." concluded Edgar who looks sincerely grateful to Elizabeth.

It made him shudder slightly in horror, his side of this was completely in contrast to the bastard that was inherent in his memories.

Elizabeth smiled politely, "Then doesn't that mean you owe me?" elizabeth's chirps blatantly showed her heart.

But Edgar did not blame the beautiful young girl in front of him, he actually returned Elizabeth's smile, "I don't think if you are a young girl who is so excited like this. So, in what way do I have to pay my debt?" edgar said, "What if you talk about it inside? I'm afraid his sunlight makes you uncomfortable."

Elizabeth nodded, followed Edgar's footsteps into the shop.

Seeing the master enter the room with Elizabeth, the store employee immediately brought tea for the two without being asked by Edgar.

"Please drink. You must be thirsty after talking all that time" Edgar said.

Elizabeth gulped down the green tea before her, "I won't twitch and go straight at her core." Edgar took a sip of his tea, "I want you to sell your jewelry stores in the west to me for half the price" Elizabeth said firmly.

Edgar put his teacup back to the table, "While the shop was unused for many years but sold it for half the price..?? That's, it's a little hard." Edgar said.

Elizabeth still maintained her calm demeanor, "Not a shop, but a shop. Not one, all, I will buy all your stores in the west. Doesn't that make me get half the price? Especially if I remember what I did."

Although surprised, Edgar still tried not to show it to Elizabeth, "In the meantime, if you may know, what will you do all the shops? Buying all those stores of course requires a lot of money."

Elizabeth smiled, "For now it's still a secret. But in the future you will know."

This young girl in front of him really made him wonder what he could do tomorrow.
