ELIZABETH SWAN'S

ELIZABETH SWAN'S
Chapter 18 - How to Get a Man's Heart

After his affairs at Count Swan's residence were completed, Dietrich was now on his way to Duke Meyer's residence to meet Raymond.

When entering the front yard area of the Duke's residence, Dietrich had already felt a chill piercing all over his body.

Dietrich looked up his head, the murderous gaze of Raymond from behind the second-floor window welcoming him to his comrades.

Gluey!

Dietrich swallowed his saliva with great difficulty before entering the living room of Duke Meyer's residence.

"You, why did you receive a bag of gold given by Elizabeth, Dietrich???" instantly the room was filled with a pitch-black aura that emerged from Raymond.

Dietrich had thought before that Raymond knew this. Because the Young Duke must have sent his shadow knight to lurk from afar.

Dietrich put the bag of gold Elizabeth gave him on the table, "He, your lover, looks so much like you. He did not accept rejection and instead threatened me if he did not want to accept this. So inevitably I have to bring it." explained Dietrich who then sat on the white sofa in front of him.

"Yes, he is like that." Raymond said with a warm smile.

"If you knew why you were acting like you just did to me?!" dietrich protest.

"Who knew you were intentionally asking for a wage, right? Aren't you like that to me, too?"

Dietrich sighed, "Bas with this man, always thought badly of me."

Raymond asked what the two were talking about, Dietrich told him all that until finally Elizabeth chose the color she suggested as the color of her store. The interior design in her also Elizabeth entrusted to Dietrich to his fullest.

"Didn't he talk about something related to me?" raymond asked with a flat face but Dietrich knew that in his heart he was very curious.

Dietrich shook his head, "Absolutely?" asked Raymond to make sure.

"Oh yeah, there's one sentence where he said your name" Dietrich said later, making Raymond's eyes sparkle.

"It's a good thing Raymond has a friend like you, if not for sure I'd still choose the bright colors for my shops" Dietrich said, mimicking Elizabeth's face and tone at the time, "That's what he said."

Raymond smiled, delighted that he could be of little use to Elizabeth. Dietrich raised both eyebrows in astonishment at Raymond's attitude that he had never seen before.

"You, smiling happily just because of such a remark? Raymond you're out of your mind, this isn't a friend I know. Who are you really?!" dietrich said while gripping Raymond's shoulders firmly while shaking him twice.

Plaque!!

Raymond raised his hand to Dietrich's head, "You're tired of living apparently? Just tell me, I'll make you charred for nothing" Raymond said with a murderous look.

Dietrich rubbed the head off Raymond, "If the woman knew you were a crazy psychopath who would easily kill someone like this, you would be left out. So change if you love him, women don't like crazy men like you." explains Dietrich who then sat back to his place.

Raymond grinned, "He already knows. Even I've told Regina about the failure of my assassination plan." he said.

Dietrich rounded his eyes as if he had almost slipped out of his face, "What?! Then how's the response? Crazy, you crazy bastard! Why are you telling your own disgrace?!" cerocos Dietrich's.

Raymond took a sip of his tea, "He advised me to push Regina off the balcony rather than poison her with someone else's hands, so my father and mother didn't notice my cunning from childhood. And just think it was an accident because I was a little girl pissed off at my stupid, shitty sister." Raymond then chuckled, "Pftt, I still remember how he looked when he said that as if it wasn't something bad. He understands me, doesn't he, Dietrich?"

"Isn't dying at the hands of a beautiful woman an honor? At least you should be happy because if I kill you there won't be any earthy parts of your body." Raymond was actually talking about such a thing in a relaxed tone as if talking about something natural and pleasant.

"Honor your word?! It is better that I continue to be miserable for life than to die with honor!"

After a chat about Dietrich's assassination plans, Raymond gave Dietrich a sum of gold that was twice as large as that given to him by Elizabeth. However, he requested that Dietrich hand over the golden pouch from Elizabeth to him. So that he himself would give it back to the woman.

Dietrich gladly accepted Raymond's offer, knowing that Dietrich had no intention of ever meeting Elizabeth again.

Perhaps, an honorable Lady discussed the assassination plan with the Young Duke of a famous family so casually.

Is the life of a noble that hard? So that makes these two people grow up to be scary personalities like this?

Dietrich, who was only a lower middle class man, would never understand and know how rotten and complicated the lives of the nobles were.

Even for the sake of title, siblings would kill each other without mercy. For the sake of the throne there would be a brother or even the emperor and the king himself who was overthrown by his son.

...****************...

In the afternoon, at Count Swan's residence.

Elizabeth is visibly upset by Raymond's sudden arrival. Not his dislike, he just didn't want any rumors to appear because of Raymond's visit. Elizabeth doesn't want her plan to tame Peter Bernhard to fail.

"Why has your face been wrinkled since? Don't you like me visiting here?" ask Raymond.

"You're not a fool. So don't pretend you don't know why I don't like you here right now." Elizabeth said in an annoyed tone as her hands continued to cross over her stomach.

Raymond chuckled in satisfaction instead of feeling sad or disappointed at Elizabeth's treatment, "I'm glad you praised me smart. But I'm just here to get this back and just have tea on this sunny afternoon with you."

Ctarr!!

A thunderous thunderous sound rang out from outside.

"You blind? Rainstorms like this you say bright?!" elizabeth said, pointing out the window, "If your business is done, hurry back to your house and bring back what you brought, because I did give it to Dietrich."

Raymond, who was still holding his cup, suddenly put on a serious look, "Sit down, give me five minutes" he said in a low but stressful tone.

Without feeling Elizabeth obeyed the words of Raymond because she felt the aura of his dominance.

"Give Peter your store renovations, give him authority to it. He'll feel respected." Raymond pushed a bag of gold that Elizabeth had from the beginning into his presence, "Use this as a reward for Peter rather than you give Dietrich, he's already got it from me."

Elizabeth frowned, "How could I possibly entrust something as important as the store's renovation to her? Are you kidding me, Raymond?"

"Do I look like I'm joking? If you want to get a man's heart satisfied his ego first. Make him feel respected and trusted by you. After that he will give his heart willingly." Raymond sighed looking disappointed, "You're not as smart as I thought." he added.

Despite being underestimated as such by Raymond, Elizabeth could only bite her lower lip in annoyance, as she could not retaliate. What Raymond said is true.
