A short, dark-skinned young man with a large golden chain around his neck walked out of the corner. It was William Collins.
"Sister, you're really amazing. That's too epic. The punch was crazy. It looked even more awesome than what Qiao Feng did in Demi-Gods and Semi Devils. Sis, to me you are the incarnation of a god."
Tyr was completely bored with how William was constantly trying to curry favor with him. He could not stop thinking as William threw the golden chain into the hotpot. The incident still repeated in Tyr's mind like an indestructible spell. When Tyr recalled about it, his blood boiled.
Taking a deep breath, Tyr turned away from William, and instead turned to look at the corner at the end of the road. "Jade, do you think I enjoy playing hide-and-seek with you?"
A graceful woman instantly appeared from behind William. Who else if not Jade Laurell? It is undeniable that the Queen of Jewelry from Khanh City is very sexy and pleasing to the eye.
Even though he was already over thirty years old, he had maintained his appearance and physique well. Coupled with his angelic face, it was hard for one to dislike him.
Standing beside his godson, they almost seemed to contrast with each other. Tyr was right when he said that twenty-year-old William looked more like Jade's godfather who was over thirty.
"Sister Tyr," Jade said, approaching Tyr with a very respectful attitude. At the same time, there was a nervous expression on his face.
"Why did you follow me to Riverville?" asked Tyr in a deep voice.
Jade hurriedly shook her head. "I wouldn't dare, Brother Tyr. William said you came to Riverville. That's why I came here as soon as I could."
Tyr shifted his gaze between Jade and William He felt that the two had hidden something from him.
"Be frank. I hate the pleasant attitude."
Jade nodded solemnly. "Sister, I told you that you're going to owe me a lot for what happened to Angel's Heart. I wonder if your promise still holds?"
"Right," Tyr replied directly.
Jade's face sparkled. "We came looking for you because we needed your help, brother."
"Say..."
"I want to ask you to protect the Collins family this afternoon!"
"The Collins family? What's problem?" tyr asked, subconsciously glancing at William.
"It's a long story, brother," replied Jade Laurell. "About ten years ago, there was a criminal named Patrick Reynold in Riverville City. He creates a network of ruthless criminals who do whatever they like and terrorize civilians as they please. Many families were oppressed by him, and they all lived in an atmosphere of fear."
"Lately, those families have finally decided that they are fed up and tired of their absurd ways. They secretly formed an alliance. On a predetermined night, the alliance gathers a group of powerful warriors to ambush Patrick, and take over his control of the city."
"However, Patrick is very cunning. The alliance formed was unable to capture him that night, and he managed to escape."
Jade continued, "After that, Patrick disappeared for many years. People in Riverville almost forgot about it. However, not long ago, he suddenly returned to the city. Not only that, he brings a group of powerful criminals with him to take revenge on the family that brought him down. At that time, the alliance consisted of four families. In just one week, three of the family have been attacked by Patrick in his attempt to avenge the Head of the family being disabled now, and some people are even dead. The Collins family is the last in the alliance. Patrick has already announced that he will send someone this afternoon."
Jade paused for a moment, looking at Tyr expectantly before continuing, "Sister Tyr, I know Big Brother is a great fighter. So, can you help the Collins family today?"
"We don't know where Patrick's been in the last few years. The people he brought were cruel. There's no way a family in Riverville can defend themselves from these people!" he added back.
"Oh." Tyr held his chin with one hand in a seemingly wise move.
Meanwhile, Jade and William waited nervously to make up their minds. They did not dare to force Tyr to agree, even though he owed Jade a favor. Even if she decided not to help them in the end, Jade would not be brave enough to comment on her decision.
"Good!"
When they heard Tyr agree to their request, Jade and William sighed in relief. The three of them walked into Jade's Maserati and hurried away, before long they arrived at the Collins family villa.
There was a group of tall and strapping men standing outside the villa. They are all bodyguards hired by William's father, Marcus Collins, who is currently in a state of panic in the living room.
The ashtrays in the room were full. There was a strong smell of nicotine throughout the room. Holding a cigarette between his fingers, Marcus paced around the living room
The mind raged in his mind. Of the four families in the alliance, three of them have been severely attacked by Patrick. Now it's the Collins family's turn.
Although Marcus has hired many bodyguards, he knows very well that the bodyguards out there have no chance of being able to fight a true criminal.
As he paced back and forth, he muttered to himself, "Jade said he would ask an expert fighter to protect our family. Why hasn't he arrived yet? Most importantly, I've already offered ten million dollars in return for her help, but she still hasn't answered. Could it be that he was also afraid of Patrick?"
While she was still engulfed in panic, Jade and the other two people entered the living room.
Marcus approached him immediately. "Jade, you're finally back. Where's the expert fighter you're talking about? Where's the fighter you hired for us, the Collins family?"
Jade and Marcus have no blood relation. Years ago, they got acquainted with each other in Myanmar through their business in the jade trade. As the two go through a difficult time together, they are considered to be best friends, united by the hardships faced together.
Later, they became brothers by vowing to always maintain a good relationship. And they are indeed very close, often even considered closer than siblings.
Jade started the introduction, "Sister, this is Mr. Summers. No need to worry anymore. With Mr. Summers, your family is in safe hands."
Marcus immediately turned his gaze to Tyr. With a flash, the flames in his eyes began to fade.
"Is this the expert you hired for the Collins family, Jade? Are you kidding me?"
