Tyr. He had never expected Winifred to think that way. Wouldn't women prefer their men to be heroes?
"Honestly, I don't like the family temperament of my grandparents. They were all like fireballs, wanting to solve all the problems by using punches. It's already the twenty-first century, and it's been twenty years, they still act like a sailor. This is a state of law. Calling the police when something happens is the right thing to do. So, Tyr, I think you've done the right thing."
"Is that so?"
Tyr smiled, but he felt helpless and felt a bit of bitterness from within him. Looks like his wife is still too innocent.
They then went to the supermarket to buy supplements and cosmetics for Winifred's grandmother, aunt, and uncle. After that, they got some other gifts.
As soon as they finished shopping, the two were ready to take a taxi to Cole House. However, they happened to pass by the jade shop, and coincidentally, Winifred's grandmother was very fond of jade, so they decided to enter the shop to buy it.
The jade shop assistant excitedly served Winifred and Tyr while they were focusing on choosing, then a hand patted Winifred's back hard.
"Winifred Zea!"
Winifred turned his head and saw a tall and sensually dressed young lady. Winifred was stunned for two seconds before recalling who this person was. "Claire Jones, what are you doing here?"
Claire Jones is Winifred's high school classmate. Back then, he and Winifred were considered the Two Golden Flowers in the class. Claire is the type of girl who loves makeup and dressing sexy, while Winifred is relatively innocent in her style. Even with a face without makeup, Winifred can compete with Claire. Therefore, despite being nicknamed the Two Golden Flowers, Winifred was truly the most beautiful girl in the class.
"I live here in the city of Riverville." As she spoke, Claire pulled a mature and handsome man wearing branded clothes and introduced him, "This is my husband, Benjamin Goldfield. He is originally from Riverville and owns a company engaged in aquatic products with revenues of one to two million per year. Although it's not much, it's enough for us."
Claire's statement sounded humble, but her tone was filled with arrogance. Then he glanced towards Tyr, who was standing beside Winifred, watching him from top to bottom.
"Winifred, I heard from a classmate a while ago that you married a beggar. Is this the guy? Haha, I even heard the story that your daughter used to be so hungry that she ate bread from the trash. Did ya? Geez, Winifred, you used to be my toughest competitor when it comes to beauty, so how could your life end up like this? But how else, yeah. You get pregnant first before marriage and get an extra burden. Now this beggar is willing to come back to you and marry you, it's a happy ending, I think."
After which, Claire turned to Tyr with a bright smile and said, "Hey, beggar. Being able to get such a beautiful wife is a blessing in your life. I'm Winifred's best friend, so don't waste your life. If it happens, I won't forgive you."
Then.a loud slap sound was heard.
Tyr slapped Claire hard in the face and said, coldly, "Speak to my wife respectfully."
"How dare a smelly beggar like you hit me?"
Claire jerks. Benjamin rushed over in an instant. "How dare you beat my wife?"
A slap sounded again!
This second slap from Tyr really surprised Benjamin.
Tyr withdrew his hand with a look of disdain on his face. "Dam. Wild dogs like to come and bark. Do you have a death wish?"
"Damn it!" Benjamin was angry. He clenched his fists and rushed over, wanting revenge.
Back then, the store staff quickly said, "Customers please don't cause any trouble here. This shop belongs to the Collins family!"
Upon hearing the words 'the Collins family', Benjamin immediately shrank back. Claire's eyes also grew. They seem to be very afraid of this Collins family.
The two quickly explained, "You clearly saw that they were the ones who started. It has nothing to do with us."
The store staff sounded annoyed as he said, "I don't care who started it, but if you break something here, you won't easily get out of this place. So, are you guys buying?"
"Yes, we'll definitely buy it!" Therefore, Claire pointed to an emerald pendant worth eight thousand and said, "Bring it for me."
"Please wait a minute." The staff immediately pulled out the emerald pendant and was ready to show the item to Clair.
However, even before the staff spoke, Claire said, "I really like this. Please pack yes. It costs only eight thousand. Not expensive at all. It costs the same as losing a card game."
The staff looked happy and immediately picked it up to be wrapped.
Claire turned to Winifred with a look of disdain as she sneered, "Winifred, look at me, I can easily buy an eight thousand dollar pendant. That's very cheap. But look at you, poor fool, and you even married a beggar. How could you come here and intend to buy jade? This is the Collins family jewelry store. Very high standard. Are you guys in the wrong place? You can't even afford a car, but you can come here to shop?"
Winifred was too lazy to fight with Claire. However, Tyr grinned beside him. He pointed at the eighteen thousand dollar emerald bracelet and said, "Wrap this for me."
Claire was stunned and quickly said, "Does a beggar like you have money?"
"What I hear, the Collins family is pretty impressive here. If I didn't have any money, I wouldn't dare buy anything here." As he spoke, Tyr pointed at a pair of emerald earrings worth thirteen thousand and said, "Wrap this as well."
After which, Tyr held a smile as he looked towards Claire. "It was only ten or twenty thousand. Not many. Never think of comparing money with me. Beggars like us are not inferior in terms of income compared to your husband."
Tyr directly provoked Claire. He pointed to the bracelet in the display cabinet and said, "I want this bracelet twenty pieces, wrap it for me."
After which, he stared at Tyr defiantly. "Based on a smelly beggar, how dare you try to compete with my husband in terms of money? You must be dying!"
Tyr shrugged, looked indifferent, and pointed to the five items in the closet. "I want five of them."
Claire was furious. As the blood started flowing into his head, he, too, pointed to some items in the closet and said, "I want to buy these too."
Tyr chuckled and remained indifferent. "I'll buy everything in this hallway."
